(the sister has nothing to do with Jason's death and Cheryl knew beforehand that they were just as upset as her but didn't understand why before finding out) Thanks!”

“Why didn’t you just tell us?”

How could you even begin to explain, and without coming of as an even worse person than you were already clear to be. “I- I didn’t want to be a part of that world, I guess. I didn’t want to be the burden of the popular Blossom twins, that you would have to put up with but despised for what I stood for. Y’know, a stain on the perfect family’s reputation.”

“You would’ve gotten to know us the good us, when we were happy! Sure, I can’t deny it would’ve been hard and taken time - but you didn’t and you missed out on getting to know him!” Cheryl is choking back her tears now, “We could’ve been siblings together, you could’ve been there with me to help him, we could’ve- He would’ve-” All the memories you could’ve had; all the love you could’ve shared; could have, should have, but didn’t. 

There was nothing you could say; her words tore your heart to shreds, they were true. If you had revealed to them, if they had trusted you enough to let you help Jason run away, if... 

If so many things, but it’s all too late. The only thing you could do now is to hold on to what’s left of the family - if the sobbing figure in front of you would ever let you.

Full request (since I couldn’t fit all of it in the header):  “...the reader's Cheryl's (and Jason's before his death) younger sister and is gay, but doesn't want to tell Cheryl because their parents are 'somewhat' homophobic (as in the kind that 'accept' the LGBT community but wouldn't want any of their family to be LGBT, sort of thing) and the reader doesn't know how she'll take it, but then Cheryl finds out somehow? Thanks so much!”

It didn’t feel like you were living a lie, not really. 

Sure, it was hard when Cheryl tried to play matchmaker and set you up with various appropriate candidates and then frustrated not understanding why none of them peeked your interest. It was hard when you had to pretend to not be interested in love at all when you couldn’t help checking every cute person of the same sex as you. Fortunately Jason let you be, though he too did offer to “help you out, y’know” he didn’t push. 

You didn’t dare tell them, it was too risky considering your parents view on “the gays”, you didn’t know how it had affected your siblings opinions - and you weren’t exactly dying to find out. 

“What are you thinking about?” Cheryl interrupts your thoughts with a smile that demanded you rattentionen back to her. 

“Not much, I just... I have a lot of homework now,” you say, smiling back slightly before returning to your book. 

Your sister doesn’t say anything for a few seconds, just studies your face for a moment before she speaks again with a casual tone. “Hey, have you seen the new kid at school? Pretty cute, I’d say. What’s (their/her/his/its/whatever’s) name, Alex... something?”

Your heart skips a beat. “Alex? Eh, I don’t- I don’t know what you mean, they’re- eh...”

“Yes, yes, I know,” Cheryl waves her hand to dismiss your protests, “I just thought they’d be more your type, since you’re gay and everything.”

Silence filled the room. Cheryl was no longer looking at you, but down in her textbook - as if she hadn’t just dropped a bomb. A rainbow bomb, you thought and couldn’t resist a small smile. 

“How did you know?” You had to ask. 

“Oh please, I’ve tried to figure out your type since forever so I could find you someone fun, but it seems I was looking in the wrong team,” she looks up and winks. “I’m slightly offended you didn’t tell me sooner, I am your sister after all, and think about all the cute people I could’ve paired you with! We’ve really wasted time.” 

“Yeah... sorry about that,” you let out a relieved laugh. 

“That’s OK, I forgive you,” she throws you a wink. 

“Hey Cheryl, thank you, for... y’know”

A nod and a small smile, “Of course, anything for you; always.”

Hi! I'm the one who sent in the ask about a past abusive-relationship. So my imagine was for Riverdale, where the reader was formally in an abusive relationship, but got out of it and is now dating Cheryl (who had no idea that the reader used to be abused) and when Cheryl gets annoyed or angry and raises her voice, the reader flinches/panics and Cheryl helps calm them down and comforts them when they explain. If you're not comfortable with this it's totally fine, but I hope that this is okay!

Sorry, hi, I just realized something. I sent in an imagine where the reader had been in a PAST abusive relationship but not in a current one, before I realized that you don't do abusive relationships, but does that include references to past relationships that won't be properly described or 'acted out'/written in a scene, or does the rule apply to only current relationships? Sorry, it's just that I only realized this a few moments ago.

I’m not sure which request was yours (I think tumblr has eaten it) but I can do abusive relationships as long as it’s not too written out and/or romanticized. If I’d write something like that I would want it to be in a way that could maybe help those who have actually been in abusive relationships, to feel better maybe?

I dunno, I’d write for it a bit but not in much detail or anything bc I feel like I don’t really have the right to write about it since I haven’t experienced it. But do send in your request again and I’ll try to do it to the extent I’m comfortable :)

So this is probably a bit of a stretch and a weird question, but have you watched Holby City? I know it's not a fandom many (if any) write or do stuff for, and most people I've asked say that they've never watched it, but I was just wondering if you've seen it?
