I am very willing to be hypnotized by other adults via text (including spirals and pre written inductions), but not via video or live call. I’m just not comfortable sharing details like my appearance and voice right now. Some day, I’d love to have the courage to be hypnotized in person or on a video call, but not today.

-Consent is important and I want to include this at all times in the blog. All characters depicted are over 21. This blog is not supposed to be overtly sexual or erotic (eg. not being hypnotised into sex etc) because I'm not into that. Some stories may have sensual undertones or light kinky activities. All stories involving sexual themes will include consent within the story and world. Would rather stay away from the idea of 'against their will' control, unless in a magic/fantasy scenario along the same lines of how it would be portrayed in a tv show, film or other media

-On a similar note, all characters and events are works of fiction and are not based on anyone in real life nor reflect how I would act in real life. These are fantasy scenarios.

-I don't use GenAI generally speaking - any occasions where it is used I will label (but I don't see that happening any time soon)

-You have my blanket permission for fan art of any of my stories, as long as they are respectful

Here is a small helping of some of my favourite works I have written:

The Power of Iris (Part 1): A short series about three friends who have a fateful encounter with a woman called Iris at a university houseparty. The trio - Charlotte, Rachel and Lauren quickly find that the rumours are true - anyone who looks into Iris’ eyes becomes mindlessly hypnotised. They soon find out just how powerful Iris’ control can be. This series explores more suggestive themes and sees the trio realise they have a certain thing for hypnosis.

I Looked Into The Spiral: A one-shot story about a VR hypnosis challenge. Kat is sick of seeing posts online - including one by her friend, of people attempting a 'hypnosis resistance' challenge using a Apex Visor Pro headset. She decides to attempt the challenge herself - just how long will her skepticism hold?

First Date: A story about two people on their first date. It seems to be going poorly, until they discover each other's interest in hypnosis

finally got around to watching SpiderMan Brand New Day and all I can say say is:

Good movie

I’d let Jean Grey mind control me any day of the week. Hope she does more mind controlling in the new xmen film in 2028

Wonder if any hypnosis mutuals here saw it and what they thought (on the film in general or on Jean Grey’s mind control specifically)

What's your opinion on the Pied Piper-type approach to hypnosis? Spellbinding music drifting into the home of some slumbering beauty, slipping into her subconscious and guiding her out of bed, sleepwalking off into the dead of night to find its source...

This was almost top-tier, and quite possibly should be. Definitely one of my favourite mind control tropes. I can also see it combining with the idea of 'mass hypnosis' and it can get a bit sci-fi too.

I've always found the arms-out, zombie-style literal sleepwalking that often goes with the Pied Piper a bit goofy but there's certainly something hot about hypnotic control that affects someone while they're sleeping. They feel safe at home, their conscious defences are down, then in it creeps through their ears...

even better if the sound only affects certain people, so while x person is mindlessly zombie walking towards the source of the sound, their friend is frantically trying to wake them up and turn them back around but to no effect

anyone here familiar with read only mind? Is it a platform people would recommend? Does anyone know who actually runs it (in terms of data privacy, security etc)? On paper it looks really good but I am a paranoid person when it comes to cybersecurity and I don’t want to interact or make an account there until I am convinced that it is probably safe

The Drop

Today I’m thinking about the drop, the moment off a trance trigger when someone falls into trance. I’m not thinking about the induction, so much, though they have commonalities, but about that instant, the snap of a finger, the utterance of a word, and the response.

And there are so many different responses. Eyes closing. A look becoming a vacant gaze. The slump of the head, the slackening of the jaw, the collapse backward of a seated person, the slight sway of someone upright as their attitude changes.

It’s easy to get caught up on those. Every so often a gif will go round the hypnotic side of tumblr of someone reaching the drop, and we reblog, because that image, that visual, speaks to us deeply, dominants, submissives, switches and all.

But today I’ve been thinking about the whys and the wherefores, because the visual alone isn’t it. It’s what it has come to symbolise to us. What we associate with us.

(It’s a conditioned response, in short.)

And it symbolises so many things. Trust. Acceptance. Mutual readiness to play. For a drop, you need a trigger; by and large we visualise the trigger as something used between two people working together steadily, building an understanding. A drop, as opposed to an induction, sets the tone instantly, where an induction might be between experienced partners or people meeting for the first time. 

So when the drop goes - that’s it. The session begins, or moves on to a different phase. That wide world of possibilities gigglisgallery was talking about the other day - erotic hypnosis, but that doesn’t simply mean moving to the sex acts unless that’s what you’re in the mood for, there is so much more to do - has just opened up. And at the moment of the drop, the path you take together could lead anywhere in that world, right up until the suggestions begin and everything crystallises.

A drop can come out of nowhere. It can linger over a few seconds, or the head can pitch forward like a stone so fast that you barely have time to register it. And both of those are great.

But when we think about the drop, we’re thinking about the dizzying range of possibilities. We’re thinking about what we might be made, and we’re thinking about what to make people. And the world, for a brief, shining moment, is our oyster.

What do you think are some underrated hypno concepts?

At least personally sleeper agent style hypno/trance. Like a person can be completely 100% their normal self then get triggered and have no memory of the things they did while under.

I also like the concept of a sleeper agent. Like in a fictional setting, imagine a sleeper agent who unknowingly betrays their friends at the hands of an evil villain. Gives up their location, their intelligence, or just straight up hypnotises them.

or someone who gets hypnotised to do the evil bidding of a villain, maybe rob a bank idk, and when they learn about it the next day on the news they have no idea it’s them

It’s one of the story ideas and hypno tropes I have yet to get around to writing

character B: “are you sure about that? Would you like to give it a try anyway. And most importantly, do you consent to me hypnotising you? Like, you are literally about to be under my control for a time”

character A: “sure, ok, whatever” (secretly though this character is very excited)

character A: *kneeling on the floor, eyes rolling* “…I’m deeply hypnotised I’m deeply hypnotised I’m deeply hypnotised…”

…feel like most of my stories can be reduced to this basic premise lol

this is a little off topic from my usual postings. But I seem to have a strange curse where every single person who is my preferred gender who I form a crush for, ends up either being already in a relationship or is solely attracted to a different gender that I am not. I don’t even get to the stage of asking them out lol because I already learn from talking that they wouldn’t be interested for the above reasons? Instead I just end up becoming really good friends which is also a big win!

I feel I’m at a point in my life where I’m ready to start dating romantically but this keeps happening lol. Any advice for where to go in 2026 to meet new people irl? Dating apps have previously failed me miserably and disposable income and time is a little tight

maybe they drop first and their head rests on your shoulder. You can hear their slow breathing

then there’s so many fun suggestions you could play around with. Freeze/unfreezing each other. Maybe your arms or hands or gaze gets interlocked with the other person’s and you can’t let go. Or maybe you just Mindlessly repeat mantras in unison. The possibilities are endless

it would be so nice to have some irl to experience hypnosis with, but I feel that will be difficult to achieve without putting myself at risk of weirding people out, you know? I’ve never had a romantic partner (but I’m not asexual), but when the times comes I’m not sure I’ll be brave enough to share this niche interest with them

Imagine if there were little subtle indicators that showed if someone was a. into hypnosis, and b. what side of the pocket watch they prefer to be on (or if they enjoy both). Just something small that only people who are into hypnosis would notice, and I can think of a number of instances where this would be useful

For example, I recently had to get fitted for a new bra, and I'm not sure if this is just at the place I went to or if it's all of those types of places, but the women working there were all extremely attractive

Now, picture this for me if you will, you walk in, perhaps a little self conscious that you're walking into a place that has lingerie in the front window, perhaps perfectly confident and you're greeted by two very beautiful ladies, both beaming at you and giving you their full attention

Now, for me personally, as someone who is quite shy in person, this is usually more than enough to get me feeling a little flustered, but now think about the next few parts of the process

They guide you over to a rack of bras, asking what you're comfortable with, maybe suggesting different colours based on what might look best against your skin and then my dears, it's time for the fitting room

Now, at this point only one of them usually comes in to the fitting room with you, and usually they wait outside while you get undressed and change into the new bra

What happened this time however, was that one of them came in with me, watched me take off my shirt and bra that I had been wearing, and then helped put on the new one. She circled around, adjusting the straps and making sure it was a comfortable fit, just brushing her hands over the fabric to ensure it was sitting well

Of course, as someone who is very into hypnosis, loves being pet and absolutely melts for praise, my mind jumped straight into what it'd be like if she somehow knew that I was into hypnosis, and took me down right then and there. It didn't help that she had an incredibly soft and velvety voice either

So there I was, with this pretty woman, speaking in this soft voice, her hands just barely touching my skin here and there, and I had to pretend I wasn't getting increasingly more and more flustered from it all. I had to try my best to not imagine how perfect it would be, if she somehow knew my triggers, knew exactly what to say, to drop me down into a deep sleep

I'm sure there are many other examples of moments where it'd be useful to see if the people around you are into hypnosis, but that's the first one that popped into my head

there was a colleague at work today who had a tiny spiral 🌀 painted on each finger.

I mean, 99% likelihood that it means absolutely nothing at all and that they just fancied drawing a pretty pattern that morning, but as I mentioned in the comments of this post wouldn’t it be fun if we had some sort of “tell” for others that we like hypnosis…? I didn’t say anything, wouldn’t have know what to say that wouldn’t seem a bit weird

I do love when I look at someone's pinned post and there's a little blurb almost begging to be tranced. It could be as benign as 'open to play with a tist', but it could also be as blatant as 'here's all my triggers, please please please use them in my dm's, it can even be the first message you send, please.' It's very cute, that they lead with how easy they are~

hmm… this is a good question…

aside from the obvious “I’d like to see more Hypno posts that suit my own specific interests” like stage hypnosis tropes, evil mass hypnosis, stories that don’t end in sexual things

I’d like to see more respect for boundaries/safeties/content warnings for material where appropriate.

it would be great if writers of text inductions (eg, ones that the subject reads themselves in their own time), consider how this is different to a file or a live session. You cannot close your eyes if you are reading! If you are frozen, you can’t move your hands to scroll further down the page! You mention that I need to do a handstand (random example) into the induction, but what if I don’t have the space right now - this was never mentioned as a precursor to the induction.

most of all, I’d like to see people empowered to express themselves and find their community

"I couldn't keep my eyes open"

A true story that a recent conversation with someone on here unlocked a memory of.

Many years ago, I went to college. The class I was in was for mature students - people who weren't ones who'd just left school, and were looking to return to higher learning. I was around 25, and among the younger students in the class.

I remember one day, late spring. It was hot out, and the poorly air-conditioned classrooms caught the brunt of it. We sat in the small class in our usual spaces at chairs - there were maybe 25-30 of us in total - behind a series of tables lining the sides and back of the room. I was almost directly in the middle.

Today, we were to watch a video. It was an older documentary from British TV - 60's or 70's maybe, it was in black and white. The subject matter escapes me, but I remember thinking it was dull. Boring.

Usually in such instances, I'm decent at keeping my focus and retaining at least some information. I found myself stifling a yawn, which I put down to the heat, but was still kind of embarrassed. If the lecturer heard it, she didn't acknowledge. So I kept watching, and yawned again. I started to lose focus... I opened my eyes. Had I fallen asleep? I hoped nobody saw me, and drew my attention back to the screen. I had to watch it, had to learn, no matter how heavy my eyelids... sleepy eyelids... I could feel my head starting to nod, and I didn't care anymore. I just had to close my eyes...

I opened them again, almost snapping awake, and the video was still going. I looked around sheepishly, ready to flash an embarrassed smile, and noticed something odd.

Everyone else was in the same boat. On my left, a line of people either asleep, or close to it, heads lolling forward. One woman was just staring at the TV it looked like, through slightly drooping eyelids, mouth hanging open.

Then I looked to my right, and the same. One guy, arms crossed, head dropped forward, deeply asleep. The posh woman in her 50's, head nodding then snapping up, a few times, before she just let her head drop the same way you would if a stage hypnotist told you to sleep. The attractive woman in her early 40's, chin resting on an upturned palm, eyes rolling as she struggled to keep her heavy lids open, before just givng up and dozing off.

I genuinely worried for a moment someone had found out about my hypnosis kink, and I was on a hidden camera show. I tried to keep watching, but my eyes started to feel heavy again...

We all kind of woke when it ended, and shortly afterwards the class ended. We all left, and were chatting about how weird it was, that we all either were falling or fell asleep.

What I can tell you is we all passed. Despite me remembering not a single thing I learned or saw in that class. But it was just the heat and the boredom, and not a case of us all being hypnotized... wasn't it?
