To be honest, I thought that ‘finding’ myself would make it easier. That I would know where I belong or who I’m supposed to be. I’ve always felt different but I never wanted to be. The only creed I followed was the one taught to me by my father, Jonathan Kent. There was no rule book or agenda or how to manual that came with putting on a suit. I just wanted to do what I thought my father would want me to do. I might not be human but I was raised human, with earth as my home. I’ve watched the world change as everyone has, for better and for worse. I just knew in my heart that if I could change even one city for the better, I had to try. It isn’t about being a hero. What kind of man would I be if I knew I could do something but instead I did nothing? When I was in school, I saw a quote somewhere and it said something like, “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men do to nothing.” I’m not a God. I don’t want to be a God and if the graffiti I’ve seen around town is any indication, some of you don’t want me to be one either. I’m not so different from you. I am just someone with the ability and the means to defend my home, Earth, and a responsibility to do so. If that makes me a hero, then I’ll be your Superman. That is my promise to you. Not to any government or military or private agenda. Superman belongs to you. He belongs to Earth. I hope that I will make you proud.

PSA! So, bad news?

I think I will be taking some time away from this account. Lurking included. I don't have any real connections and I feel like I'm unable to really play Clark when my Lois and my Lex abandoned me. I know it sounds dumb and replacing characters should be easy but the experience has been deeply wounding on a personal level. Many of my friends and partners interact with my previous partner and while mobile, I have no way to blacklist them when they appear on my dash. To top it all off, I'm fairly certain those who were interested in the mun behind Clark have long gone and I'm not expecting that anyone will read this or notice my absence from this account. There are a least a dozen new Clark blogs to chose from, but if you were looking to interact with me specifically, I am sorry. I will come back, I just don't know when.

So, it is official now I suppose. Any previous interactions established through my no longer mainverse characters - Lex, Batman and Lois - are effectively null and void. This follows not only the apparent drifting from the mun who collectively made up my mainverse but also their reboot of Lex. That being said, I will not be building a mainverse that is as reliant or interconnected as my previous, at least for the foreseeable future. Any mentions of Lex by Clark are an NPC Lex Luthor. That being said, I am open to establishing AUs for the Lex players who might be interested!
