Working as a barista feels better than most other jobs I've worked because I can feel like however small, I have made someone have a better day after their interaction with me

Also it's egoistical but everytime someone asks me out or calls me a hot barista or something I feel so fucking great haha this has my physical confidence feeling good recently!

Hey I haven’t used this site in years but some of you used to support me really hard so I appreciate it and just wanted to give a little life update for all of you that still know I exist!

I moved to South Korea for a long while, over a year, and then came back to graduate university. I got my degrees but when I went to go back to SK I decided against it and to try and finally pursue music professionally instead. For all of you who ever supported my music I love you - although I made very little income on my own songs, songwriting for other musicians gave me huge amounts of happiness. Knowing that people have listened to songs I have written over 20 million times is a fact that will truly humble me until the day I die. I am so appreciative. 

However, after doing music for years, I eventually decided what really mattered to me was looking after the people close to me - which was not an option while living on such a small amount of income. In a big patch of stress I quit music and needed to get my life together for a while, but now I work for a company and am the most financially comfortable I have been in my life. I can buy my family and friends the nice things I wanted to get them, and things are actually going pretty well. I might not be the cool depressed musician I was a decade ago, but I’m really happy with the way my life is right now. If you ever cheered me on, even for a day, thank you. I promise I will carry your kindness with me forever :)
