About Biscotto: Coming in weighing 1.5 tons and standing at 9 feet high, it's the very large offspring of Mephiles the Dark and Vanilla the Rabbit; Biscotto the Rabbit! It likes hot dogs, its family, and it's going to be president someday! Biscottooo!
About Glam: The prodigal son of Mighty the Armadillo and Manic the Hedgehog, he was born with one brain cell that hardly finds itself being used. What he lacks in wit, he makes up for in both heart and personality, both of which are larger than life.
About Strawberry: Strawberry is the ideal hero! She's kind and caring, always the first one to jump in to solve a problem with a sugary sweet smile! At least, as long as there's people around to see. Strawberry thrives off attention and popularity, but in reality, cares very little about other people. She's calculating and manipulative, all too ready to destroy anyone who sees through the act. Her moms are worried but believe deep down she is a good person.
About Zish: Zish? Who’s that? Nobody knows. Years after the famous Crossworlds Grand Prix that saw Zavok change his heart through his fear, respect, and love for Big the Cat, Zish appeared one day at the cursed couples doorstep without warning. The Chaos Emeralds summoned him because they collectively thought it would be funny. Zish is a honorary loser. He can’t fight, he can’t fish, and any zeti powers he inherited are out of control. Yet Zish’s focus is more on his likes and abilities over his shortcomings. He loves to make bracelets and gardening, and he specifically likes to protect the forest that he lives in with Big, Zavok, and his adoptive older sister, Metal Sonic. He’s extremely shy and socially secluded, even as Zavok tries to convince him to get out there and ‘conquer all obstacles’, whatever that means. I’m sure he’ll be fine.

There's so many places I could begin with this... so I'll guess I'll start with this.
I entered @sonic-fankid-showdown this year as a challenge for myself. I'd seen previous editions every now and then pop up in searches and was curious but I always thought "I could NEVER have the confidence to enter one of my kids into those." This year the application appeared on my homepage as if by chance. I was hesitant, but I also wanted to try and at least make steps to get over my social anxiety, so I entered with my brand new kiddo I had only made a month prior (30th April (2026) is Dawn's birthday :p). I told myself to not read too much into the competition and use it as a way to push my little hermit boat out and meet other people.
And what actually happened surpassed all my expectations I could ever of had and more, both for myself & for Dawn.
I had SO much fun getting to know and chat with each and every one of you! Answering and asking questions as Dawn gave me newfound confidence and an excitement I had never thought possible, getting to babble out all these little lore details I was planning in such a way to people who were curious!
It genuinely warms my heart to see so many people enjoy Dawn, not only because she's my precious little girl but because the foundations of Dawn are *so* incredibly important and special to me. I made her to have a connection with my best friend @cloudy0dreamer who is a huge Silvamy lover. I wanted to create something we could both enjoy together and Dawn was the manifestation of that wish I created.
To say out of all this I managed to reach the final 8? That boggles the mind massively! I was expecting to go out first round - happy with the confidence I had built up to that point, but thanks to all of your support she went through 3 whole rounds, so from the bottom of my heart, Thank you so, so much 🩵

To all the new friends I made through this event - to everyone who asked me a question or answered mine - thank you so much for your time and generosity! A special thank you in particular who were kind enough to draw my girl for me 🙏 Its been a pleasure to meet all of you, especially those i've seen and admired the works of from a distance its been awesome!

I'm sorry the polls didn't work in your favour this year, but I am certain all three will go far. It was a pleasure to compete against all of you (& Glam, ofc!)
To the people who stuck with me every round, or even hopped on to help me with just one round - Thank you! Getting this far would never have been possible without each and every one of you's support. To the people who reached out to me with kind words for Dawn - thank you so much, your kindness means so much to me.
Showdown may be over for me, but I have learned so so much, both about myself and the hidden kindness of the community. I will now be moving on to focus on the remaining days of Art fight but all of you are very welcome to ask Dawn anything any time

I first learned about the Showdown during last year’s event, and I was so insanely inspired by it. In particular, rooting for Starlight and Genesis in the semifinals is what made me make a fankid in the first place (happy late birthday, Aster!).
I feel so lucky to have participated in an event I’ve been anticipating for a bit now! Through this community I have forged a lot of solid bonds, and seeing everyone share such a creative drive to improve upon their character design and storytelling is so so so awesome. :’)
Aster’s competitors (and all of the Showdown participants as a whole) were so so miraculous!! They were so fun to learn about and interact with, it was so clear that each one was a meticulously crafted labor of love and i cannot wait to see more of them!
Last but oh my GOODNESS not least: THANK YOU ASTER NATION! I never expected Aster to get this far and I was so surprised at the amount of support she got! In particular thanks to my squid gang you know who u are. Aster nation 4 life 🙏💛💛

Glam turned his head, ignoring the grass that tickled at his cheek when he did. Yet his friend either hadn't noticed or elected to ignore it in favor of gazing up towards clear azure skies.
"Nervous?"
"About this 'showdown' thing, I mean." Crimson clarified.
"Should I be?" The softest laughter hardly masked the shake of his voice. "I mean, I'll be home by the end of the month, guaranteed."
As the pair laid splayed across the tall grass, the wind filled in the following silence with the rustle of dried foliage. This space was theirs, and theirs alone.
"Do you want to be back so soon?" The hedgehog pressed again, more direct.
There was a hesitation that followed. A genuine pause for thought before a response.
"Well, yes and no." Glam shared, hands reaching for a few strands of turf between his fingers. "Would it be cool to get far? Oh yeah, absolutely. Do I think I'll get that far? Nah."
"I think you could." Crimson shared thoughtfully. "Anyone who can't see how amazing you are is probably blind. Or stupid."
"Hey, careful." Another laugh bubbled up, eyes glued to splayed, red quills against lush green grass. "Your dad wouldn't be real thrilled to hear that comin' from you, y'know?"
"You make it sound like he's happy with anything." Finally, their gazes locked. In his chest, Glam's heart felt full to bursting. "You know how ticked off he was when he found out you get to go?"
They both laughed, natural, tension easing off of their shoulders easily. For a second, any anxiety melted away against his sun-dappled face. How Crimson could stare at him with such warmth never failed to catch him off-guard.
A hand shortly thereafter found his, stopping him from pulling a bald patch on the lawn. Gingerly, fingers intertwined with one another.
"Promise me you'll do your best." Glam simply stared, entranced. A deer in headlights as bright eyes pierced his soul. "Put your whole heart into this thing."
"Like I ever-"
He fell silent as Crimson reached for his cheek, caressing the reddening skin with a smile. The lie caught in his throat and died before he could speak it into existence.
"I'll...do my best." He relented easily, falling to his charm with practiced ease. "I'll make sure to really piss your dad off. Y'know, if I have to."
The laughter that followed echoed in his mind as he stared blankly at the fourth round's results.
Oh yes, Shadow — his Shadow — would surely be pissed now.
Somehow, he'd managed to slide through to the next round. Another hard-fought round, another friendly face that would leave too soon after first introductions.
At least there was some vindication for Mark — the only other competitor he shared any semblance of parental lineage with. But with it came the hollow feeling of being unable to share this moment with him.
It wasn't as if Dawn hadn't had her own revenge to take after his round with Starlight. While the competition was friendly, that doesn't erase the fact that it's a competition.
In his jacket pocket, he could feel his phone vibrating with texts and calls — congratulations, he was sure. This victory ensured he was a semifinalist, after all. One of the top 3 places would belong to him.
Yet, his heart ached at those who lost to him. Already he missed Lustre and their moms, Mark, Starlight, and all the others who he'd passed by. And truly, was he actually trying? It felt more like he'd made it here by luck.
Slowly, Glam took a breath.
Focus.
Perhaps early on, he hadn't taken this thing seriously. But at this point he knew he wanted to shoot as high as he could go. He didn't want to disappoint his friend by halting momentum now.
Today, he could rest. But the next round would be with others who came this far, too.
If this was where it ended, he felt satisfied.
"Let's see how much farther I can go then, Crimson..."

About Ryker: Ryker is part of my WIP Infinite redemption arc AU "Cathartic Infinity," which takes place a few years after Sonic Forces. After Infinite turns his life around and becomes Zero, he starts a relationship with Gadget and later have Ryker. Ryker is a relatively easygoing boy with a passion for music; he plays guitar and sometimes sings in his band Werejackal. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's quite a pacifist and nonconfrontational (unless in case of a threat toward his partner or his family). Ryker is currently dating Terios (son of Sonic and Shadow). You can imagine this might cause some conflict with their parents given Ryker's father is a former war criminal.
Gardevoir. Fairy psychic type. A pokemon that can mega evolve using the mega stone embeded in her star pendant.
I chose gardevoir for their determination and overprotective nature for their trainer. Instead of the trainer however. It would be for her family. Being powerful enough to summon mini black holes to defend its trainer/family. In a pokedex entry. Its also said it doesnt feel the pull of gravity. Tying in with dove being floaty and not fully abiding with gravity.
Moveset I can see her having include moves like: Psychic, moonblast, swift, shadowball. I also see her having the ability trace, allowing her to copy to foes ability.
You've been talking about Crimson a lot but doesn't he have a brother your age to?
I don't talk about him that much!
Ahem...
But, uh, yeah. He's got a twin bro named Charcoal. I talked a bit about him, but he's selectively mute! Just means that I got to learn how to sign pretty young. Pretty rad!
He and Youta are actually real close. They balance each other out real well considering that both are real quiet on the day-to-day.
I'm always curious 'bout what goes on in his head.
They also got a little sib too — Scarlet! The first echidna since Knuckles himself. They're a bit closer to Fern and Ivy's age, so we ain't close. Plus they're a bit intimidating. Guess she's a lot like Shadow in that regard.

You talked about you friends, but did you say anything about your siblings?
I did! A while ago. Actually when I was yackin' on about my buds!
We don't always get along super well, but we're still there for each other when it matters.
Fern is always hard to get a read on. Always looks pissed to Gaia and back. But he's cool. We haven't had a lot of issues with one another. It's vibes, y'know?
Then there's Princess Ivy. I guess twins connect real easy, but she and I get along like oil and water. Probably because I do whatever I can to annoy her at any given moment.
Don't worry though, she's awesome!
