Not to have warrior cats thoughts on main again but I wonder if it's considered gauche to name your kit in such a way that it's really clear you're gunning for a specific warrior name.
Like if Appleflower over in the nursery gives birth to a tortoiseshell with one white paw and names her Whitekit, does her leader give her a strong side-eye and think I see what you did there, I know you're trying to railroad me into fucking Whitefoot or Whitestep, and I swear to StarClan if I'm still leader by the time that thing has a ceremony, she's Whitecloud. I'll do it just to be a dick to you specifically, you can't fucking tell me what to do
Growing up when I'd show my art to non-artists I would frequently get "Wow! Did you freehand that?" As a response which has always confused me. Because as an artist I have never thought of my technique as "freehanding" or "not-freehanding" it's just not a word I've ever used. It's weird to me that it would come up so frequently with non-artists.
Like are they just asking "Did you draw that yourself" with an artist-y word they think they know? Are they asking if I did a sketch beforehand? Are they asking if I referenced something? TRACED something? Is "freehanding" a well-used word in traditional art education that I never learned because I'm self-taught? How do all these church ladies know it???
If Shadow was a warrior cat hed be a former kittypet that joined a clan and then defected, becoming a rogue before his warrior ceremony. Owners wouldve been unethical cat breeders, but he was the favorite of a twoleg girl. Hed be named Shadowpaw. Solid black. Worn yellow collar he will never, ever remove.
If Sonic was a warrior cat hed be either a rogue from birth or a clanborn rogue (didn't like the clan codes). Fastest cat in the forest, faster than any Windclan hunter. Lives in an old machine shed. naaamed Swiftwind. Blue mackerel tabby.
If Tails was a warrior cat hed be clanborn and bullied for his birth defect and then he'd run away and get adopted by Swiftwind and renamed Twintail (deadname Twokit). Orange classic tabby white spotting.
If Amy was a warrior cat she'd be clanborn with a medicine cat destiny but she'd become a warrior instead and use her healing knowledge to secretly help all cats regardless of allegiances - putting her in great danger with her own clan if discovered. Named Rosebriar. Rosette tabby.
If Knuckles was a warrior cat he'd be a rogue but i want him to be a deputy. Alas. He would definitely be a rogue, maybe the last member of a clan long forgotten. Sonic characters do not want to be in the clans omg. Lives in a cave somewhere. Occasionally spotted with (being annoyed by) Swiftwind and Twintail. Named Stoneclaw or maybe just Claw. OH OH OR. He calls himself Clawstar because he's the last of his clan but no one else recognizes him as a leader so they just call him Claw. Disrespecttttt. Special cinnamon boy.
If Silver was a warrior cat he'd be just absolutely tormented by Starclan visions. Every night they'd be calling him up with some new prophecy or warning to the point where he can't make sense of any of it anymore. Found alone as a kit, adopted into a clan. Not the strongest warrior, but always wants to do the right thing. Struggles when the Code runs up against what his heart tells him should be right. Named Sunsight. Albino - Poor health and vision.
If Blaze was a warrior cat she'd be a clanborn leader in a faraway territory. Her clan is in crisis due to wildfire so she flees to the main territory looking for help. The clans reject her but a ragtag group of rogues and clan defecters decide to help.. Named Flickerstar. Flame point.
Saddest thing about sonic boom to me aside from it being totally dropped due to its failure is that shattered crystal is like. Totally servicable very few issues with that game. Fine little handheld experience. Quite easy but thats expected for a 3ds title. Obviously a different studio worked on it from the wii u game. The Sanzaru AND Big Red Button teams both gave it their all i'm sure but the scope of the wii u version with the imposed deadline ultimately caused the more front-facing title to die on arrival. After being mocked and memed on for a while. And now no one cares about sonic boom anymore :(
