The more I hear the magic of the @lehmannaudio Black Cube SE II phonostage the wider my smile grows! The most impressive aspect of this little giant killer has been its performance across all genres. It’s dynamic & engaging with everything from classic jazz to juju music, reggae, alternative, drum-n-bass, and pop. Plus: the pairing w/ the textured sound of my vintage Counterpoint tube pre-amp is simply sublime! I’ve enjoyed the addition of the Black Cube SE II so much I’ve done more tube rolling in my pre-amp in the past few weeks than I’ve done in a LONG time! Next I’m going to put it in front of my cherished, top reference @ear_amps HP4 tube headphone amplifier! #lehmannaudio also offers more affordable versions of the Black Cube - and I’ve heard phonostages at all levels - from $100K to $100 - and I could happily live with this magic little analog box as my reference in my beloved two-channel system. @nlehmann0662 is a first-class engineer AND music lover - and that’s reflected in his components. The @lehmannaudio Black Cube SE II phonostage is (& please pardon me here): Astoundingly Fuckin’ Good, especially considering it’s $1,200 price tag (it’s insane how expensive high end audio phonostages can get😜). It brought warmth and texture, along with greater resolution without mucking things up or over-coloring everything. Not an easy feat! I’d recommend this magic lil’ brick of a phono pre-amp to anyone who’s looking to significantly upgrade their analog performance, and I’ve heard alot of shit, to say the least😉. I’m absolutely loving how it compliments my beloved @vpiindustries deck! Norbert Lehmann has hit it outta the park here, and I’m grateful to be the recipient, once again, of his sonic brilliance. Superfluous sonic commentary aside: This is F____IN’ DOPE🙏🏼🎧😜 Was time to turn in my OG LCD-Xs for a new pair! This combination is absolutely stunning, especially considering it’s portability! But I must say: The new LCD-X provides vast improvements (the originals were already fan-freakin’-tastic)! Better ergonomics, greater efficiency (better for lower powered in-studio headphone amps) + overall soundstaging (width & depth) tonal balance and bass definition+slam. OK - forget typing this crap - Back to listening! B-R-A-V-O @audeze_official - you’re still KILLING IT!
