“… Tch.. I doubt that.” he huffed, glancing away for a moment while the other hedgehog gave him a soft chuckle… He obviously was trying to brush off the others light attitude.

“I assumed.”

Shadow of course grumbled using his right hand to reach into his quills, pulling out a bright green emerald…  “Just don’t get sick..” and without further hesitation, grabbed his blue counterpart by his wrist, and other hand suddenly warped them out of the area they were in, and into the mystic ruins.. Not exactly in front of the house, but near the train station that was near it.

“… I’ve never been there before, so I can’t exactly.. Take us there.”

     A sneeze. “Me? Sick? No way.” Did he hear that right? Was Shadow actually worried about his well-being? That was.. weird. Oh.. Moving on..

     He flinched a bit when his rival suddenly grabbed his wrist. Sheesh, always so harsh. Sonic had almost forgot that Shadow needed to take a hold of the person he wanted to ‘travel’ with. Guess that  just proved the black hedgehog was better at Chaos Control than him.. Pft, it didn’t matter, though. Sonic was still faster!

     Ah. Home, sweet home. Well, almost. “No problem. This way!.. Did I mention this place is a pretty popular tourist attraction?” On summer... of course...

     After a small walk here they were; at the doorstep. Sonic quickly reached into his quills, pulled out a key and opened the door. “Pretty cool place, huh? Come on in.”

“And what stuff would you even want to be doing?” he questioned, obviously not buying the idea of Sonic and him actually, ‘spending time together’.

“…As long as you keep your word, hedgehog.” he grumbled, his arms loosening a bit as he let them hang by his sides.. Shadow’s eyes flickered back and forth as Sonic asked him to simply use ‘chaos control’ to where they needed to go… A brow raised as he was asked this question.

Usually, he would have no issues with it, but he was trying to think of where the other lived… Considering he had never actually been there beforehand.

“.. You live by the mystic ruins, correct?”

     “Cool stuff, Shadow.” Actually he had no idea, but they would figure out something they both liked. Probably. 

     “I always keep my word..” He gave a small, lighthearted chuckle. More like he almost always kept his word. Not in these kind of situations, though. Hopefully Shadow wouldn’t be too disappointed.

     “Heh. How’d you guess? It’s a pretty nice place. Right next to a huge jungle and a waterfall. There are also mysterious caves everywhere.. The sea is super blue, too!.. when it’s summer. Now it’s just frozen.” Sonic bumped their shoulders together. “Let’s go!” Who knows, this could actually turn out to be fun.

     "Shadow’s kinda lame. Don’t tell him I said that, though.”

His ears twitched a few times as he heard that ‘unnecessary’ comment. His eyes rolled once again as he made sure his eye contact was no where near where the blue hedgehog was standing.

Though, all of that self control of keeping his gaze away from Sonic had just broke as his eyes darted immediately towards him at the others sarcastic nature.

“Huh, you really think you have me figured out, dont you, _you pest_? ” he retorted, obviously not liking being teased very much. His grip tightened around his upper arms as he held them crossed still. Closing himself off from Sonic who was obviously trying to get in.

After taking a few moments before responding, the hesitance in Shadow’s body motions was clear enough that he wasn’t exactly fond of being alone with _him_..

“….. I will only go if you leave me alone after this.”

     “I’m a pest, huh? You know all this time you’re spending arguing could be time we’re spending actually doing stuff!” A small huff. Sonic was an impatient hedgehog.

     Ears twitched, surprised  when he heard Shadow’s response to his suggestion. Honestly, he didn’t think Shadow would actually say ‘yes’. “Yay! And sure, I’ll leave you alone after this.” That was a lie, obviously. Sonic would never stop pestering Shadow- it was kinda his thing now. 

     “Can you do your Chaos Control thing and teleport us to my place? I dunno about you but I’m feeling lazy.. and it’s still cold. I don’t want to get sick.” Sonic already felt like he needed to blow his nose again.. Ugh, he needed that hot chocolate so badly.. and a few blankets.

Shadow continuously questioned himself on why he was even amusing this hedgehog by responding.. Was it simply boredom?… Who knew. He wasn’t exactly sure how to feel about anyone…. He simply then closed his eyes as he attempted to think on the day length between the periods… He hadn’t been exactly keeping count. “Days?… Uh….. Huh… I’m.. Not exactly sure how long it’s been."

Opening his eyes, he raised a hand to gently brush his chest fluff back and forth as he did it meaninglessly in a nerved reaction. Especially as he was being questioned about his ‘warmth’… The black hearted hero simply brushed off any feelings of being cold by the mere fact that he was simply the 'ultimate’, and a eye roll at his statement… But he was definitely unaware of Sonic being worried for his well being.

”.. No where in particular.. “

     “I bet you don’t even know what day it is...” He muttered under his breath. Oh well..

     “Ookay.. So why didn’t you just stay indoors, then? Is Rouge’s club too much for you?” A snort. “Heh. Anyway, if you don’t have anything to do why don’t you just.. hang out with me for a bit? We can go to my place (actuallyit’sTails’placebutwhocares) and do something.. Like drink hot chocolate and.. you know, talk! Out of all my friends, you’re the only one I’ve never actually spend time with. Funny, huh?” Maybe because he had never been good with people like Shadow.. Sonic himself couldn’t really understand why anyone would prefer to be alone or so.. grumpy? closed off..? Whatever. He did want to try and get to know his rival a bit better, though! “.. What do you say? Tails isn’t home right now, so I’m going to be loooonely if you don’t come with me.”

His eyes were gently shut until his ears flickered, hearing the blue one’s sneeze alerted his senses and made his shoot open immediately as he stared daggers at the younger hedgehog as he was asked such a stupid and meaningless question. His arms were wrapped and intertwined together as they held onto the opposite upper arms.. His grip tightening as the dark brooding hedgehog irritatingly sighed. He then began to reluctantly respond to Sonic…

“Tuh, it seems you follow me where ever I go now a days..” he mumbled out sarcastically, though it did seem to be a true statement to himself.

“.. No, I never get cold.”

     Stupid and a meaningless question? Maybe, but Sonic felt like Shadow wouldn’t get any social interaction if he didn’t come to see him from time to time. Honestly, sometimes he wasn’t even totally sure his counterpart actually knows what’s going on around him. Shadow was always so lost in his own thoughts.. or something. “Huh? I’m not following you, dude.. It’s just.. you’re the only one who dares to go out in this weather. How many days has it been anyway..?” He was almost desperate to start some kind of a conversation. The blue hedgehog knew the other wouldn’t talk to him unless he asked some simple, friendly questions.

     I never get cold? Now that couldn’t be true. “Yeah, okay. You’re saying that because you’re too proud to admit that you’re freezing, right? I mean you should at least wear a scarf.” In which Sonic slightly tugged his own scarf a bit. He definitely wasn’t worried about his rival, nope. 

     “━So.. Where are you going?”
