here’s some Deadpool sketches.
Deadpool is definitely my favorite marvel character. i just love the idea of this witty, if pretty fucked up, antihero. i relate to him a lot. also my boyfriend and i quote the movies all the time :)
just got a new sketchbook. i always like to decorate the front to really make it feel like my own place to create. for me, although new sketchbooks are exciting, they’re also fucking terrifying. especially the first page. shout out to @stridersknowbest for helping me fill it :)
i just finished this acrylic painting for a “metamorphosis” assignment. as you can see the girl is transforming into the sunflower. i don’t actually like this painting. in fact, i kinda hate it. it was really rushed and i feel like i did the assignment without actually having any feeling behind it. but i do think it’s important to create art you don’t like. that way, it’s easier to discover your true style and feel as an artist. even if you’re creating bad art, you’re still creating and learning no matter where you find yourself in the end. maybe one day i’ll come back and adjust this.
so my assignment was to make a bust representing a certain culture or art style. i chose van gogh because his work is phenomenal of course, but also because i’ve always been fascinated with his story and his psyche the bust itself is meant to be a 3D version of his self-portrait. i’ve included his starry night in his beard and eyebrows, as well as a sunflower in place of the ear that he cut. I’m not the best at this particular media but i’m super happy with how this turned out!!!
took this picture today, happy march everyone :)
so i did this painting for my friend’s birthday (sea otters are her favorite animals) and it turned out okay. to be fair i didn’t spend as much time on it as i probably should have, but it’s still pretty cute.
yay more ceramics!!
this was a pop art assignment, so we had to take a normal object and make it at least twice its regular size. (this is almost the size of my head lol) i’m kinda in love with it :)
quick sketch before bed i feel like i never have time to create anymore. life’s just so crazy.
the light of my life <3
favorite christmas present for sure :)))
glazing is honestly super stressful because it looks SO different before it’s fired, and you never know how it’s gonna turn out. but this was kinda cool
first commissioned piece :)))
