I think it’s time I make this post.
I made this blog in August, 2011. I had been really interested (maybe even obsessed?) with Sonny a little before then and felt the need to share my love for him and his music with everyone. I put a lot of time and effort into this blog and made personal thank you posts for every follower I gained. I was in a dark point in my life and having this blog helped me focus on something and take my mind off things.. go into a dreamland maybe.
I spent a lot of time here, uploading pictures everyday and finding hidden interviews no one knew about. I took a lot of pride in the knowledge I had and the information I could provide. I felt I had a purpose. At the height of this blog’s popularity I had 3,000 followers, ask box flooded and many friends. I loved the fandom and the people in it. I reblogged art from the community and tried making smaller blogs known. This was a really large part of my life.
That peak was maybe in 2013. After I tried updating as much as I could, but the updates were less and less. I became more depressed and involved in bad habits (to be discrete.. yall dont want the details.) I had other things on my mind. Also, I think the idea of me being obsessed with a celebrity became less appealing. I had to focus on other things.
So after two years of me reblogging a few photos every few months, I finally decided I should write a goodbye post. It’s time I finally put this blog to rest. I had an amazing time and met some amazing people... I still have a special place in my heart for Sonny John Moore, and I think I always will. He will always be an inspiration. I loved putting time into this website. It’s given me great joy. But it’s time has come. And that’s okay. I won’t delete it, I’ll keep it open for everyone to visit if they please. Also a personal archive for myself.
So, I want to thank everyone for being there for me, making me laugh and for visiting this blog and keeping it going. Shout out to the people who have been in the fandom since the beginning. It’s been a fun time. I hope you all continue doing you and making jokes about that weird little alien making music.
