Assignment Prompt Carter takes after his motherâs side both in his human and shifted form. He much larger than his dad and looks far more like a Barbary lion than a Transvaal lion. He is the only Barbary lion currently in Chicago, as they are rare even among shifters. It is thought that the last wild Barbary lion was seen in the 1950s, though that isnât fully true of Lion Shifters. There is a strong, if small, few families who possess the Barbary genes. Tatianaâs family is one of them, as is Hankâs family. His strong Barbary genes has made him the new target of his grandfather to try and find a nice Barbary wife for him. Like most Barbary lions, Carter has primarily a deep ginger color along his face mane. He has a light cream muzzle and scattered tiny pieces of dark brown fur at the bottom of his mane. He has a deep brown that runs over his shoulders and onto his belly. Like his somewhat poofy hair in human form, Carterâs mane is incredibly long and voluminous. He takes great care in his grooming and thinks it is one of his most striking features in his shifted form. Carter has short ears. They are easily engulfed by his mane and the tips are the only thing visible often times. The tip of carterâs hairy tail is dark brown and very long. It doesnât taper off as much as most lions. He has a minor scratch from Greer that happened a couple months ago when they were play hunting with the younger cats. He hasnât bothered to heal it yet.
