#world of warcraft#i mean idk what retail is like but#someone i know got unmodded from a class discord for levying account infractions against people for saying the r-word in chat#which is apparently a much bigger sin than antagonising moderators to bait them into banning you#and then comparing said moderator to real-life fascist dictators after the fact#like come on now#your nitro boosts cannot be more important than fostering an environment where people can ask questions without being called slurs about it#it's the classic hunter discord btw. absolute freakshow#i've been a regular there for a few years and i just don't get how difficult these people find it to not say one or two words in one server#europeans talking about free speech and having to be corrected by me (also euro) that the US law only applies to critique of the government#the sinophobia is its own kettle of fish genuinely nobody is normal about chinese people and it's insane to me#if i could flip a switch in my brain to erase all the thoughts and memories i have of playing wow i'd do it in a heartbeat tbh
