Soojung stepped into her classroom, only to be greeted by her annoying classmate- who also happens to be her seatmate, Byun Baekhyun.
"Good morning, ugly!" he threw a crumpled paper at her and it hit her head.
"Shut up, stupid" she said in English, glaring at him and took her seat.
"Shut up stupid~" he mocked her pronounciation in a very annoying way- that’s what she thought.
Suddenly Kyungsoo- who was sitting right in front of them- turned his head to face the two, ”Both of you should shut up”
"It’s none of your business" both, Baekhyun and Soojung said at the same time.
They both exchanged look before facing Kyungsoo again.
"Whoa, chill guys" he raised both of his hands as he turned back to face the front.
Then their English teacher, Ms. Hwang entered the class. Baekhyun couldn’t stop but doing weird things to annoy his seatmate, who would hit him whenever he does that.
"Stop staring at me, would you." Soojung whispered, more likely demanding him instead of questioning him.
But seems like Baekhyun got it as a question for him, ”No.” he paused for awhile, ”You’re too beautiful”
The girl tried her best not to blush- at least not in front of him- so she hid her face with her hair, ”Shut it”
The guy smiled teasingly at her, ”You just blushed, didn’t you?” he whispered.
"I didn’t" she answered calmly, continuing to write her essay.
"Oh yes you did" he replied while resting his head on the table, bored to do anything.
After 5 minutes of silence, Baekhyun felt bored- he’s always bored when there’s no Soojung to tease. He led his hand to Soojung’s hair- taking a strand of it which made her surprised.
"Ouch, stupid!" she said it out loud as she got up from her seat- having all eyes on her. Ms. Hwang folded her arms and stare at her.
"Who are you calling stupid, Ms. Jung?" that’s when she realized she’s still in class. She bit her lower lip and shook her head, "No one, teacher"
"Is it me? Maybe you found my lesson boring, since you’re already good at it"
Soojung widen her eyes and shook her head violently, Baekhyun couldn’t hold it anymore and decided to let out his laughter.
Short story- they ended up outside their classroom, standing on one foot with both hands on each of their ears.
"This is your fault, ugly"
"This won’t happen if you didn’t pull my hair, stupid" she fixed her hair, then placed her hand back to her ear again.
"This won’t happen is you didn’t shout out loud"
"Why are you blaming on me, huh?"
"It was just a strand okay, you were over reacting" Baekhyun rolled his eyes.
"Why me?" Soojung’s voice softened, which made him turned his head to her.
"Huh?" he seems confused.
"Why are you always picking on me, why me?"
"Because you are my seatmate, duh"
"Please, you didn’t do anything when you sat with Naeun"
Baekhyun stayed silent, he closed his eyes as he let out a sigh. He opened his eyes and turned to face her- who’s now staring at him in confusion.
"Isn’t it obvious?" he asked, more like asking himself actually.
"I like you okay. I like you." he stumbled since they only stand with one foot, but managed to keep his balance. "Is that clear enough for you?" he sighed.
Soojung blushed, but confused at the same time, ”I don’t understand..”
"Now who’s the real stupid" he mumbled but she could hear him clearly.
"Yeah, you really do like me" she said sarcastically.
"Okay okay" he look at her in the eyes, "You’re not ugly, you’re really beautiful, the most beautiful girl i’ve ever seen. And i mean it"
"I was happy when i know that we’re seat partners, i want to be closer to you"
"And i know i’m the worst at expressing my feelings, so i teased you. Because i think we could be closer that way"
"I teased you because i like you. I teased you a lot because i like you, a lot."
Then he turned back to face the other side, avoiding her, he could feel the heat is boiling on his face.
"You are stupid for not noticing that i like you too"
Baekhyun’s eyes widen as he turned to face the shy Soojung. Their mouth turned into a smile.
"Do not talk or I’ll make it longer!" Ms. Hwang’s voice echoed the hallway.
They giggled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
