I got tickets for Milan enhypen let's goooo!!!!
A thing engenes need to realize once and for all is that the spamming, tags, boycott claims etc. have no effect on Belift. They don't care about your mess. The only people you are affecting is Enhypen. They see everything, they're going through your mass hysteria, they see your comments, your rants, your stubbornness, all that while they try to move on, to keep working, to keep doing their dream job. All your negativity is burdening the members, not Belift. You're throwing them through the mud just because you can't face reality.
After Jay's live
And we had yet another member calling y'all asses out AGAIN, on his freaking birthday. There's a lot of things I wanna say about this.
Jay has been very diplomatic (something that y'all don't deserve, but I appreciate him for trying to be polite): if you watch the final part of his live, you can see him pause, literally looking for the right way to word his thoughts. He spoke in general terms, but if you were watching the live you'd know that most of the spam wasn't 6/7, it was "touch your hair if you miss him", "do a heart if you miss him" etc., which means that most, if not all, the spamming came from ot7s trying to have a gotcha moment out of the members to feed their delusion. This is extremely disrespectful, we don't know at what place the members are emotionally and if they even wanna talk about this. It isn't a matter of belift, being media trained or whatever, it's basic the basic respect we have to give to individuals we don't know in person. Keep in mind that we as fans are not entitled to know what they feel about Heeseung, whether they miss him, love him, dislike him or whatever, it's not our business. They are idols, they're working, Enhypen is 6 so you have to talk about these 6 members now.
Jay has focused the discourse on the other members. He said that he's worried about what they might feel if their birthday lives are spammed like his. He specifically talked about their mental health. And I wanna take this to the next level. If Jay is worried about these immature comments, what do you think Enhypen feel when they see how these so called "engenes" talk about boycott, not listening to their music, not buying their albums, when they criticize them for being excited for their own concert? Where is your empathy?
He kindly asked you to look around and face reality. He's not asking you to throw away your emotions, but he's asking you to be respectful and avoid vomiting your feelings on the members' faces. You can think whatever you want, but thoughts should stay inside your head or at most in your personal social profiles, not in a space that is in direct touch with Enhypen.
I'm not as kind as him, so I'll add that the so called ot7s don't deserve to be called engenes or even ot7s. Real ot7s would support the seven boys equally, Heeseung as a soloist and the remaining 6 as Enhypen. The current "ot7s" are just selfish parasocial immature fans who are fed up that their favorite toy isn't the same anymore. I-land has ended 6 years ago, you can't decided anything about Enhypen anymore.
Enhypen and Heeseung have moved on. All of them made a very clear choice. Heeseung is a soloist because he wanted to. Then maybe we can have a conversation about the company's responsibilities, but this doesn't take away the fact that 7 adults have decided on their careers and that we are only fans, strangers to them who have no right to judge anything about their job. If that doesn't sit well with you, that's great, but leave the fandom. Stop throwing yourself, engenes and enhypen in the mud just because you can't accept the current reality.
Another bad day to be a kpop fan :') Mark leaving NCT and SM was NOT something I was expecting, and this is an understatement because I would've believed anything in the world to be more likely than him not working anymore with SM.
But at the same time you think "doesn't it make sense?". We used to joke so much about him being overworked, even his members joked about it, we used to be concerned about it too, but we always believed that Mark was just wired in a different way from other idols, that he was some sort of superhero, never skipping a schedule, juggling two fixed units, the nct u projects, even the fuckass SuperM and recently his solo music as well. But doesn't it make sense to feel burned out? Doesn't it make sense that he doesn't want to keep doing all that? Shouldn't we have expected it?
I love how his members reacted to it, especially Doyoung and Jisung's words were so emotional for me. I know it's not easy for them as well, especially the dreamies who have lost again their leader and older member.
It's gonna be hard getting used to the new situation, not because I don't trust NCT to be able to carry on, but because of how nice, funny, reliable Mark was whenever he was on camera with them. I'll miss him so much and I hope that the good feelings he left behind will allow him to still gift us some little moments with the members in the future.
I hope he can get all the rest he deserves, a more forgiving schedule, and all the success in whatever he chooses to do from now on.
Jake with his "say yes to critical thinking" hat during fancalls, then even went live with it, please take the hint besties
i genuinely can’t believe the harassment (and yes it is essentially harassment wether fans realise it or not) got to the point where jungwon had to address the spamming and ask them to just stop. LITERALLY EVERYTHING FOR FHE PAST TWO WEEKS HAS POINTED AT THEM BEING READY TO MOVE ON 😭😭😭😭 idk how much more signs they need aside from the ones right in our face which is them referring to themselves as six on multiple occasions including heeseung saying he is ready for his solo. engenes genuinely don’t realise how parasocial they’re being bruh like you’re not doing them or hs the favour you think you are doing by spamming all their platforms with hashtags to the point they can barely interact normally with fans, mind you it’s been nearly 3 weeks of that and still nothing like pls take the hint. they keep on telling you as their fan to support them as six and even emphasise the number (niki saying he needs his 6 members to dance, sunoo holding up six fingers when talking about the members, and jungwon today in the span of 3 DAYS should be enough really.) like WHAT MORE DO THEY GENUINELY WANT ATP. i feel bad for both the six AND hs because not only are they dismissing them but also hs ability to go solo.
i just don’t understand why they’re not taking the words of the actual members who have made their future very clear, including heeseung.
also someone pointed out today that jungwon mentioned seeing himself as enhypen in the next 5 years and how it could be possible that they already finished contract renewal conversations so maybe heeseung just didn’t want to renew it and rather go solo 🤔 i am 100% sure that this was something they’ve been preparing for and have already accepted tho.
YES!!!
The members have been extremely clear since their first public appearance, but nobody gave a sht about it and maybe I understand it because everyone was still shocked.
Then they kept talking, the Australian interview, then the next fancalls, then spelling clearly that they're 6 multiple times, then Heeseung saying he's debuting soon. But no, it was all the staff passing them notes and forcing them to say those things because look at their eyeeeessss, they must have cried a lot!
It's like they were really begging for one of them to lose their sht and call them out. I am glad that at the very least they're taking Jungwon's words seriously and aren't thinking about conspiracies again. The Jay fancall too was funny, that man is TIRED af and he's the one who has tried to make clear the group's stance since day 1, but it's always look at his eyes, never listen to his words 😔 They tried to be polite and considerate, but fans can't understand kindness, they only understand sarcasm and open annoyance.
Also yes. I think it's clear they discussed their contracts already, that's why Heeseung left now and that's why the other six are confidently talking about their future as a group. They definitely talked about it extensively the past months. There's small hints about it. They had the time to accept the new situation and gear up for their next steps as a group and soloist. The fandom also needs its time to process it, but patience and respect get to a point if people actively refuse to face reality.
It seems he's finally listed as a soloist now and was removed from weverse. It's sad, but honestly with the way engenes are acting I understand why kpop rushes to delete a member and never mention him again, because look how much people lost their mind to see him in merch or as a listed member. If Belift ever had in mind to let them interact on camera, they surely gave up on this idea because fans can't behave in a mature way.
I'm sure the Enhypen's members are DONE. But really DONE, DONE DONE with y'all's delusion.
We literally had Jungwon begging you to stop spamming and went as far as saying he wants to talk with real engenes. We've had the other members stressing how they'll perform as six. We've had Jungwon again and Jay saying they're not sad when fans told them it's ok to be sad.
What else do these guys have to say more than this?
You are allowed to be sad, but please do not harass them, do not project, let them do their job in peace.
Heeseung looked so good. I might be reaching, but he seemed okay? I was lowkey worried because these days have been messy to say the least, but he seemed chill and happy to talk to the fans. He seems excited for his solo music and even spoiled the date.
The other boys looked pretty stressed during their first fancall right after the announcement, so I think this break was good for Heeseung and I'm glad he could have time for himself and avoid public scrutiny right off the bat.
Everyone seems peaceful and determined about their next steps of their careers. I hope engenes too will get to that stage too eventually.
Engenes need to call out the boycotters
All the boycott claims are one of the dumbest and most harmful things I’ve ever seen in my time as a kpop fan.
I don’t want to talk too much about how awful it is for you to boycott the same idols who begged you several times these days to trust them and support their group activities because I doubt you care about them in the first place.
I want to specifically call out how delusional these boycotters are from a logical and economical point of view.
Enhypen isn’t the only group in Belift, let alone in Hybe. How exactly do you realistically believe you will have any impact on that company’s stock just by not streaming songs for a couple of days? Right when they are so close to BTS' comeback that will probably give them enough money for the next decade? When so many other groups are also having a comeback soon? Sorry if I’m going to be too direct with it, but Hybe doesn’t give a sht about what Heeseung does or what a loud minority of fans says. You call Belift in the worst ways and are aware they don't give a sht about Enhypen other than for the money they make and now you want to hit the group in the face with this non-sense? Do you want the group to not have a career anymore? Do you want them to disband and abandon their dream to be idols? Because if that's your goal then at least it would be more coherent with your actions.
The only effect you have is embarrassing yourself even more and proving yet again that you don’t give a sht about the members or about what they want. You’re just repeating over and over again, in different ways “sorry Heeseung you’re worthless without your group and sorry members you’re worthless without Heeseung”, you’re over and over again stepping on them, being selfish, delusional, disrespectful of them as humans and above all as artists. You are actively harming them and y'all are so obtuse that you can't even see it (or pretend you don't see, but I wanna give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend you're being genuine).
I also think it's time for sane Engenes to begin calling out these people in a serious way. We can't let them continuing this nonsense.
About Heeseung leaving...
I respect engenes' feelings. I know you feel lost, I know you have to cope somehow.
But I also think we need to be a bit rational and face reality.
I've seen people saying that many other idols have solo careers while being in a group and yes that's true. But most of the time these solo careers consist of a comeback once every one or two years, while most of their time is spent on group schedules. But do we know for sure if that would be enough for Heeseung? What if he wants to have two solo comebacks a year for example? What if he wants to tour? What if, in other words, he wants to slow down significantly the group schedules? And what if the company and the other members weren't ok with it?
I've seen people talking about covering up crimes and it's always so sad when people assume that a random idol will automatically overshadow any news, as if every single Korean's priority is what a kpop group does. These types of theories were always ridiculous and in this case they're even more absurd and nonsensical.
I've seen people talk about a potential scandal hanging on their heads, but this makes no sense. If it's such a serious scandal, they would've kicked Heeseung out of the company immediately. Why would they lie and keep him, stating they will support his career if it's such a harmful scandal? I've seen people saying another member in involved in a scandal, but that makes even less sense. Why kick out someone innocent? Wouldn't it make more sense to kick out the culprit? A less serious scandal, like dating wouldn't even be such a huge hit, unless he's getting married and is expecting a baby or whatever but even this, why not saying the truth? Why postponing something inevitable? Isn't it more logical to just drop the news, the sooner you do, the sooner waters will calm?
Heeseung might be sick of the idol life, he might be sick of the fanservice, of the constant filming, of the constant work, a work that doesn't feel like it belongs to him because he's making his own music and we know how serious he is about making music and all the times he said he wanted to release it. Literally one of his vlogs were about him working on a lil song with his producer friends. Why are people so shocked that he might prefer stay in studio and release his music rather than being a full-time idol?
Now, I'm not gonna deny that the timing was awful and that something definitely happened behind the scenes. But I don't think the statement is a lie or that they're trying to cover up anything. They're amidst contract renewals and probably he and the company clashed so hard that they decided to kick him out immediately instead of being more delicate about it.
I've also seen backhanded comments like "who's gonna cover for his lines, he was the main vocalist", yes he was, but gosh you're making it seem like the other members can't hold a note, or can't perform, or can't stand on stage. And don't let me begin on people downplaying Enhypen's popularity, like I've seen CRAZY takes. Imagine being one of the members and reading how your own fans consider you not only incompetent but unsuccessful as well. This is Exo drama overall, people doomposting on the remaining members' skills, people pinning members one against the other. Can we try to be more mature than this? Why do we have to show our worst sides when all the members deserve to get encouragement from fans?
On the other side, people are treating Heesung like a kid, like someone who can't stand up for what he wants. Why aren't we even taking into consideration that this could be what he thinks it's best for him? Why are we just running with the craziest narrative just to bend reality to what we want it to be? We always talk about how idols have little inputs, how they should have more freedom, but all these nice words stop whenever an idol does a move we dislike?
I might delete this sht later but right now the fandom's reaction is stressing me so much.
Enhypen's The Sin: Vanish
Big premise: at least for your first listening, you need to listen the album exactly the way it is, because there's a narration (yes, in case you don't know, there's a narrator, there's people telling a story) and the songs are tied to the narration. There's different versions of the album, according to the language used by the narrator. This is the English version.
So, the album has been out for a couple of days and it has received mixed reactions to say the least lol I don't know if these people actually listened to the album, or only to the title track. If they listened only to the TT, then I'm sorry for them because they're missing out on an experience. Yes, an experience. You might still not like it or you won't consider it as the work of the century, but I think it's something worth experiencing at least once because as far as I know, I've never seen a group truly embracing the concept as deeply as this project. This isn't an aesthetic, this isn't a line added to the lyrics to hint vaguely to something, this isn't an obscure reference in a MV's three second shot. There's a story and everything in this comeback is about that story. It's like watching a tv series episode, expect you're not watching, you're listening. It's like an audiobook, but they're singing. This isn't an album made with the general public in mind, this isn't made to allow them to chart. This is made to get the attention of *you*. They're not looking for a mindless person listening to a song that appeared on their spotify on a random Tuesday while commuting to work. They are demanding your full attention. You are the one who will choose whether to join them on their escape, or stay back. After this you come out as a full time fan, or you realize they're not for you.
No Way Back: that's an awfully great way to open the album. It's my type of jam. The song features So!YoON! and it throws you completely in the plot narrated in the interlude before this song.
Knife: this isn't the most edible song in the world, but it serves its purpose and in the grand scheme of things I understand why this song in particular was chosen. However, I think that some simple tweaks here and there could've elevated it a lot. It's a very short song where a ton happens, the chorus is a mess, the verses disappear in a couple of seconds, there's no clear pre-chorus, no bridge. When it ends, you're left confused. If you're brave enough to give it a second chance, it does get better and it starts to make a bit more sense. This song is almost rage baiting you, people hate it but they're talking about it. Come back with a safer song and you'd get fans happy, but non-fans or casuals might sleep on it. This could be their Sticker... and I love Sticker. The opening with the news anchor and the meme of the kid holding a knife is so camp, I love it.
Stealer: I love it when idols do the spelling of the title of their songs, I don't even know why but I'm always sold when these silly chorus appear. This song is so bratty and so danceable, I'm obsessed. The instrumental slaps. Jungwon makes me go insane. It was my instant favourite with No Way Back.
Big Girls Don’t Cry: I didn't listen to the teasers, but I heard about the title of this song because again these guys are probably rage baiting you lol It's actually a nice song and I love how it falls into the story.
Lost Island: A sweet song with a marine feeling. I think several songs in this album could've been pretty nice as b-sides in an album for a summer comeback.
Sleep Tight: Another sweet song, I think it's the one composed by Jake and Heesung wrote some lyrics as well. Very cute, again very coherent with the story they're telling and a perfect way to close the album.
We often talk about how cohesive an album is and here you can find all the cohesiveness you wish for. Even sonically, excluding Knife who is the odd one, there's a coherent progression from a somewhat darker and conflicted sound to a more chill and calm one. There was a lot of planning in this comeback, a MASSIVE planning and it's something we need to appreciate. The song themselves obviously serve a purpose, which is something great for the album, but not as much, I think, when you take them out of context like you would in a random playlist. If this album had been your generic mini for a random comeback, I would've been less enthusiast about it probably. However, this doesn't mean I don't like the songs. No Way Back and Stealer already made it in my playlist and I'm afraid Knife and Big Girls Don't Cry might also get there because I'm a freak. In the first paragraph, I said that this is the type of album that either makes you a fan or pushes you away from them, I can say that in my case it made me a fan.
Chaeyoung's Lil Fantasy
Authenticity is the word I would use to describe this album. It feels like being a child, going to visit your best friend's house, back when smartphones and sns weren't a thing so they only way to entertain yourself was to imagine and daydream.
Avocaco is the song that takes you by the hand to bring you to her little world. The MV is great, extremely weird, like it's warning you "this is who I am, are you sure you want to come?".
Band Aid: so cozy and her voice is so quiet, like she's telling you a secret.
Shoot (Firecracker): the retro feel is so nice. I've watched the performance and I was not expecting her to dance, but the choreo is cute and it suits her a lot. The song gets better the more you listen to it. I think the lyrics want to represent what she's doing with this album: "shooting" her music from her heart for the listener to catch it, like she's saying that she's pouring her honest feelings into that and that her music was created in her own heart.
Girl: very chill track. I wonder if she's talking to herself or to another person. It seems she wants to "be the one", but she also wants to hide in a little corner.
Ribbons: a less acoustic vibe on this one. The feat brings a different energy, I lowkey wanted to sit with them while they were recording it.
Downpour: she sounds great when harmonazing with a male voice. I was not familiar with Gliico, but they did a great job. They fit each other a lot.
BF: so short but by what the lyrics say, it makes sense. Sometimes she doesn't want to meet her best friend and it's enough for her to talk to them through texts. The whole lyrics sound like a text to a friend. A short form of connection, but meaningful for the person writing it (and it hits too close to home for me).
Shadow Puppets: two people holding hands and hiding. It makes me wonder about the meaning of the song. Is her inner child hiding because she's an adult now? Is she hiding because she doesn't want to be an adult? Is she holding our hand, as if the person listening to her music is like her? Or is she holding her own hand?
My Guitar: it's the song she performed during the tour. I've never really checked the lyrics before, but to me it seems like it talks about her effort to learn playing the guitar and how it became an expression of her own emotions.
Lonely Doll Waltz: is an instrumental-only track. She included it because it was one of her first creations and it fits the cute and quirky vibe of the album. I think it was a nice addition because it tells the story of her journey as a musician (similarly to what she says in My Guitar), just like the whole album tells the story of her inner journey.
There's so much more I'd like to write about these lyrics but I don't want this post to be too long, so I'll only add the official video that includes her full album, which I consider another GREAT idea she had.
TXT's THE STAR CHAPTER: TOGETHER: my opinion
Upside Down Kiss: I don't know if it's just me but it has a very Halloween vibe. I knew they would somehow promote and create a choreo for this song! They never fail to give attention to their b-sides.
Beautiful Strangers: the previous song had a dark/sexy vibe, but this one is more emotional. It's kinda in line with what they've released the past few years. At first listening I wasn't super impressed, but it gets better the more you listen.
Ghost Girl: I don't think I've ever heard Yeonjun with this raspy voice before. If I had heard to this song without knowing where it's coming from, I wouldn't have been able to recognize who the singer is. I'm honestly impressed. It kinda grows on you, I think it missed something at first listening.
Sunday Driver: a brighter song, I think it suits Soobin, it kinda sounds a bit safer than the previous songs tho and than the other solos.
Dance with You: I'm surprised by the empty chorus, I assume that if this gets performed live he'll focus on the choreography, I mean I guess the title pretty much tells us that lol It has a bit of a sexy vibe.
Take My Half: I'm not surprised here either, this sort of rock ballad style suits Beomgyu. I don't know if it's me who hasn't listened to them a ton recently, but him and Yeonjun truly stepped up their vocal game, I wouldn't have recognized him either. It's really emotional too.
Bird of Night: the chorus wasn't what I was expecting ngl I thought we were going for a heavy vocal chorus. The lyrics are pretty deep tho.
Song of the Stars: last song of the album, nice instrumental, I like the richness of the vocals.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
Everyone is adding solo tracks to their group albums recently lol I think the stand outs are the first two group tracks, Yeonjun and especially Beomgyu's solos. The other songs might need to cook some more in my ears. The title track is ok, but nothing that makes me go insane. I admire the fact that they never jump on the new trends and stick to their concept and original musical direction, but I can't help thinking that they should get out of their comfort zone a little bit and try something new.
Twice "This is for": my opinion
Four: it's so hype omg. I bet this is the concert opener, I can already see the choregraphy, the back-up dancers, Momo slaying the center and the crowd screaming. So so glad they included it in the album and it didn't become a lost media.
This is for: It feels like Like It Like It and Strategy had a child. The instrumental is laid back, but the vocal part is pretty "hip". I feel there's a lot going on and the first listening left me a bit overwhelmed. The first feeling I got was that it lacked some structure, like the pre-chorus is blended up with the verses and you realize it's a pre-chorus because the chorus suddenly comes out. I got used to it the more I listened to the song and I could catch the nuances of the track more. I still have the feeling that it's a bit too packed like when you try to fit all your clothes in one travel bag and you barely managed to zip it. It does improve the more you listen to it though. The MV was very nice and very in line with the recent trends but still with the very energetic and bright touch Twice provides. I like the choreo as well, again very in line with the trends, shaking ass is pretty much compulsory at this point and choregraphers are arrested if they don't add it, but it's still very much Twice coded, if that makes sense. Everything about this song is an attempt to be in line with the modern times, but it's still written in Twice font and I think it's the right blending at this point in their careers since it attracts new fans but doesn't alienate older fans.
Options: The instrumental is pretty chill and fascinating and the vocals follow this vibe. I like the falsetto parts, whatever Jihyo is doing is great. This is also a big grower, I overlooked it a bit at first but it's very very nice.
Mars: A more up-beat track with a retro vibe. The chorus is amazing, I love the belting! This needs to be performed as well, I bet it's gonna be part of their hand-mic performance.
Right Hand Girl: since the trailer, I knew this lady would hit, istg if they don't perform it I will riot. This is the most ass-shakeable song released this year. I read the lyrics and my first impression was that it is a song with queer undertones (like one girl breaks up with the guy and the bff tries to make her understand her friend is much better) but then it could also have a more literal and individualistic (?) meaning. Either way, probably the lyrics want to play on both meanings so I love it regardless.
Peach Gelato: This is the type of song who's gonna stick to your head even though you don't really want to. Right now I think there's more interesting tracks, but can I dance with you again you again-
Hi Hello: This song reminds me of something and it took me a bit to realize that some parts sound similar to Dahyun's Keeper. I don't know if anyone felt the same or if I'm tripping, but either way it's a nice song.
Battitude: I thought we would get demjointz in the title track, but instead it was a b-side. All I know is that this needs to be performed, I need a visual reference and I think the song would gain a lot in a live version.
Dat Ahh Dat Ooh: Twice in their baddies era finally, let them use those low voices more. This one has a sexier feel than Battitude, I feel it's a bit easier to listen to compared to the previous track.
Let Love Go: I love it. It feels like something out of the 70s/80s, the chorus is beautiful. Like Peach Gelato this is unexpectedly catchy for me.
G.O.A.T.: MiDaChae are a surprising trio but they ate. I love the chorus. All of them have naturally soft voices, but also super interesting lower voices, I really think they work very very well together.
Talk: I somehow can imagine a performance and choreo for this one too. Another ass-shake song for me, the chorus is catchy. The bridge is brigding in this one and I love the ad-libs.
Seesaw: very soft and angelic song, this is also one that I lowkey overlooked but the chorus is actually so pretty and catchy.
Heartbreak Avenue: I'll be honest. If you watch the trailer for the track, you will hear a different instrumental that compliments better the chorus imo. The actual song is a lot more delicate (?) than what I was expecting. Probably another addition to their hand-mic set list.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
Is this better than FOL? I think only time will tel. What I can say is that THIS IS FOR (can we start calling it TIF?) has a certain sound that dominates a lot of the tracks and it's the sound that fans appreciated the most in the recent years (Basics, Bloom, Like It Like It etc.) so I think they truly pushed the game in that direction. This is what gives a sense of cohesiveness to the whole thing, while still keeping a considerable amount of variety when it comes to genres and themes. I really enjoy the vocal performance of all the members, I think whoever is working with them can now use their voices a lot better and managed to allow them to showcase their range. I think they also did a great job with the ad-libs, I saw more variety and more members doing them. Overall it seems that a lot of work was put into it.
Another thing I can say is that this album was clearly made with the concert in mind. We have the typical instrumental usually added before the first song, we have the songs for the hand-mic performance, we have the heir of Go Hard, so I think we'll see a lot of the music of this album in the set-list.
I really enjoyed listening to all the songs and it's great to go back, listen again and notice something you didn't notice at first. It was truly well done.
Kyungsoo's Bliss: my opinion
Nobody Knows It: chill song, with a soft vibe but also a latin rhythm. If he ever performs it, I imagine him singing while a couple of professional dancers dances next to him.
Do You Remember?: a more upbeat song, it's fresh and feels a lot like the soundtrack of a movie set in summer. Wow, I feel it would be great to listen to it while traveling for your holidays.
Fit: mmm, this sounds like something Baekhyun could release. Uh I love whatever he's doing with his voice, I feel he tried to step a bit out of his comfort zone with this one.
Sing Along!: from what I've heard, he wanted a song good for a concert that fans would sing along to. The chorus is a bit flat ngl, but if the goal is to add fanchants I understand why it is like that.
5 minutes: the build up to the chorus is so nice. It's another fresh song.
I'll be there: minimalist!soo is back. I think I'll have to digest this song more, it's pretty different from the previous tracks.
Draw My Path: he really has such a great voice though, whenever he uses his full power it always feels so good. The chorus in this one is very nice.
Where you were: romantic!soo here, very sweet vibe with this one.
In Another Life: here the chorus as well sells the whole song, the verses are a bit monotonous
Love to Love U: minimalistic+romantic Soo. Ok, this one is interesting, I love the retro vibe and his voice is melting my heart omg The chill music and soft music seems like he's singing just for you, thank you for this delulu experience ksoo! Great way to close the album!

Ok, I'm a bit biased toward Kyungsoo and I generally like the stuff he puts out. I've read different opinions on this album and I guess if you don't like his style, you just won't like this album either. He tried to do something a bit different, but it's still very much *him*, a summer concept but in Kyungsoo's fashion.
Despite my bias toward him, I have two main issues with this comeback. The album feels like two different minis smashed together. Up until "5 Minutes" the album has a very summer-ish vibe, fitting the overall concept that dominated the promotional pictures. The rest of the songs though have nothing to do with that and feels like they were added just because they really wanted to release a *full* album.
The second criticism is that the title track is the weakest song. I understand the purpose of it, but given it's his first full album they could've released Sing Along as a pre-release and then pick another one as the title track or viceversa. Some people will only listen to the title track and miss out on the rest of the songs and it's a bit of a shame.
Overall, I enjoyed many of the tracks. This guy can sing so whatever song he gets, it will sound good.
Irene and Seulgi's Tilt: my opinion
Tilt: This song surprised me when I first listened to it because I wasn't really expecting this. But I love it. It feels like it escaped an Aespa album, it is essentially a gayer version of Whiplash. The MV too looks like some random scenes were taken from Aespa's MV and the editor sewed them together. I feel they could've done A LOT more other than relying on gray backgrounds and visuals. But I really like the song, it's a genre that I usually eat well. The choreo is funny to me, in a good way. I saw people complaining about it, calling it too simple, but imo I think the choreographer was trying to make a somewhat viral dance, something people can easily dance to. This song gives a lot of "night out at the disco with my gf" and if I were at a disco and this song came out, I'd have a lot of fun dancing to that choreo.
What's your problem?: featuring aside, it's a classy song. It's very enjoyable.
Irresistible: it's pretty original. I love the soft and seductive vocals. It sound like a song perfect for a high fashion brand ad.
Girl Next Door: with a title like that, I was not expecting this song. You know what it reminded me of? Spy x Family's Yor. Someone who pretends to be a girl next door but who's actually a lethal assassin. It would actually be a great ost of a spy drama.
Trampoline: everything is so sexy in this album gosh.
Heaven: they're obviously trying to seduce me and with this one they finally got me and they're in my bedroom now. It's a great way to close the album, it's a softer song compared to the others, but not boring.

Cohesive but not monotonous, it's very sultry and sexy and each song brings a different flavor, a different font with which they express how seductive they are.
