yoonseok au | Yoongi and Hoseok met on an airplane heading to New York. They fall in love over the month they spend together at the city, but they have the risk to fall apart when they have to go back to different paths.
“Yoongi”, he answers, feeling unusual sheepish. “Yoongi Min.”
The boy with sunkissed skin and warm eyes laughs brightly, and Yoongi feels his chest tightening. For a fleeting moment (or more) he catches himself staring at this stranger like he is a living star.
“What’s that?”, the boy says with a teasingly amusement. “Like Bond, James Bond?”
Yoongi shrugs; all articulation and common sense had abandoned him since the moment he got in the airplane and took his seat beside this guy. He didn’t know how he’d survive an 18 hours flight being self-aware at every minute of the painfully handsome boy next to him.
“I’m Hoseok”, he offers back. “Hoseok Jung.”
And he winks. Jung fucking Hoseok winks at Yoongi and Yoongi doesn’t know what to do with himself. Because Yoongi wants to appear friendlier than he must look right now, being a frozen mess, he keeps up with the conversation.
“How long will you stay in NY?”
“As much as my budget allows. I don’t have things quite planned yet, but that’s what makes it fun” he smiles and his lips curve in the shape of a heart. It’s so damn beautiful that Yoongi wants to scream. “What about you, Yoongi?”
“Hm, I’m also not sure. I’ll be taking some of my songs to a record company and if they like it, well, I may end up not going back to Korea.”
Hoseok gets eye-wide. “You’re a man of music then, uh? Nice. Maybe that’s why you have this cool vibe around you.”
“Do I now?” he doesn’t agree, but, ah, if that isn’t good to hear from Hoseok. “Wanna hear some of my songs? Can change your impression about me, tho.”
“I doubt” Hoseok snorts. “I’d love to hear it.”
And that’s how they begin; in an airplane from Seoul to New York, with dreams in the luggage and uncertain futures ahead. They found each other 35,000 feet above the clouds – just get lose together, and lose each other.
