La mujer (¿o criatura?) descendió del árbol que la ocultaba. Comenzó a caminar serena, ella sabía que nadie en ese pueblo le podía hacer frente. Pero un sonido estridente le arrebató la calma, algo sonaba a lo lejos… ¿qué eran? ¿Alarmas?

Por los altoparlantes del pueblo sonaba la sirena, gritaba estridente iiiuuu-iiiuuuu, algo la había hecho accionar. Y la voz de una mujer advirtió: —Todos los pueblerinos deben ingresar inmediatamente a un lugar seguro. Advertencia: la calle no es segura, se ha encontrado un ataque mortal, advertimos, ingresen a hogares o edificios públicos.

Los corazones asustados bombearon sangre, era momento de ocultarse. Era momento de jugar al cazado y el cazador… —Que divertido.
