Abolish's character being with Cleo on the wavelength of 'the gods aren't our friends' makes so much sense considering Abolish spent a good portion of his life fighting in an arena, died by getting stabbed in the back (by a possible ally), and then got revived to go and fight in an arena again, and has the possibility of being backstabbed again if he makes any allies that might betray him.

It's understandable that he sees the gods in a bad light as they literally just put him back into a situation that almost mirrors the way he died in the first place.

And this also is likely why he isn't making any strong alliances and why he doesn't trust anyone because he knows that everyone will die in the end, and he has less of a chance of repeating his death again if he trusts no one

Did I just get bored and make a dnd character based of Abolish's pantheon smp character, yes.

Will I now share the chaos that is the character sheet, also yes.

I would also like to preface this by saying this is my second attempt at ever making a dnd character, so I was very confused for half of this but I had plans and I think it worked

I'm also gonna say that for the languages I rolled 2 d12 and got an 11 and a 12, so that was actually legit

I love the irony of Nobody (Martyn) going "I don't want to vote for anyone in my cave, they're the ones that got me out of what felt like the underworld", while all 4 of the others who were in his cave vote for him to go into the arena

I'm going to share a random insane thought I had about Abolish's character. So you know how he said that he's human, but he's apparently difficult to cosplay. With him being at home in the nether like land, and not taking fire damage.... I propose blazeborn... And he has fire hair like Tango does when he uses his abilities.

Based on Abolish's tweet, Leg's tweet and what Abolish said on stream, I have an inkling as to what occurred in episode 2 (at least from Abolish's perspective)

Apo used her ability to turn someone into someone else, made a second Abolish which likely annoyed someone, leading to Abolish going "It wasn't me", and then this maybe lead to him being nominated for the arena but he didn't actually get chosen

So Abolish still hasn't used his abilities as of episode 2, but he almost did, which leads me to believe he was maybe voted for to go into the arena but didn't get chosen so didn't have to use his abilites

Although it was very much in character and fits the character, I am choosing to believe that Nikos (Legs) calling Abolish's character pretty boy was specifically a quest given to Legundo by Mae to annoy Abolish (well flirting with him in general was the quest)

I just had a very hilarious idea that some of the champions weren't originally from Greece / didn't die in Greece, and then ended up getting randomly chosen by a Greek god and are like 'why and how the hell am I here?'

Like obviously quite a few people have hinted at their character being from Greece ( or just outright said it) but some people have very questionable backstories

I cannot draw but I propose a fanart idea of the nether cave group:

Scott leading the blind-folded Shelby through the cave, going "we have these buff men protecting us", as he watches Abolish, 'nobody' (Martyn) and Nikos (Legs) fight mobs clearing the way for them

Right it's reached the time for me to yell about my favourite 'neutral' alliance. Abolish and Cleo.

We have Cleo who is openly distrusting over everyone, and then Abolish who seems to be acting like he trusts everyone, but not actually opening up properly to anyone, and only telling Cleo his actual plan.

The first time they meet, he kinda jump scares her, and she just backs away and he decides that it's okay, and walks away. The next time they meet they have a proper conversation. Cleo admits they don't trust everyone, he says he's similar, and that they shouldn't make friends and they instead need neutral alliances. While they are talking, Cleo seems more comfortable with him and get closer. Then Sausage came over, she panicked and turned into a goat, and then after Sausage leaves, he offers for her to follow him and she does and they turn up at the blessing thing together.

After it's claimed, he goes to find somewhere to live, and she initially goes to follow him before she stops.

Then they meet up later when Cleo was walking to Shelby and Drift. Both of them agree that they are just here for the gods entertainment and that neither of them trust the gods (we add onto this Abolish's comment at the start of him saying "I just didn't think he was telling the truth" talking about Hephaestus). Especially this: Cleo (to Drift) " the gods are not your friends" Abolish "oh I knew that" Cleo (looks at Abolish) "I figured"

Shelby and Drift leave. Then Cleo tells Abolish that she is living there, and Cleo tells him he was right about making allies. Abolish makes his point of being secretive about his patron, and then makes a snide comment about people using their powers all willy-nilly but then SPECIFIES he is not including Cleo in that. Then Abolish gifts Cleo a bow and some arrows. He then shows her where he is basing and the two of them are somewhat close to each other (Cleo calling it "emergency reach"). He also kinda shows her where he is stashing his stuff (which he also hid in the ground, and so he does trust her). And then the two of them walk to the blessing area together again.

From what I've gathered here, the two of them seem to be very similar in beliefs about what is happening here, and they built trust with each other over that, and I get the impression that out of everyone that Abolish has hung out with, Cleo is the only one that he does actually trust and the rest were just an act. And I think Cleo also returns this trust.

I do think the two of them have a kinda silent alliance that they aren't actively broadcasting to everyone else, but are keeping it to themselves and will likely be there for one another when it comes down to it.

Okay I want to talk about how much i love pan!Cleo and pan!Abolish'es interactions

okay so the first time they talk Cleo talks about the sunrise and Abolish straight up appears in her pov (which doesn't help the fact they are on edge) and she reacts tense asking him what he wants and backing away. Abolish responses he just wanted to say hi and then after Cleo asks "why" he replies it cause he heard her comment on the sunrise and they were there, but then adds that he can keep on walking and doesn't mind cause he came by to say hi. He walks away after and they then calm down.

Later, he pops up again, but this time the heartbeat noise is gone, even though its clear Cleo is still tense and on edge. He asks how she is and she replys that they are alright, but he quickly asks why shes on edge to him mostly but they correct they are like that to everyone cause of the games. While Abolish does agree they will have to fight and getting attached makes things harder, its important and being lonely is the worse idea as it can be very hard. And if you look at Cleo you can notice she gets closer to him as they talk, still tense movements that are slow shuffles at best but still clear they don't show as much fear. After Sausage arrives, making Cleo turn into a goat and him and Abolish start to leave, Abolish hangs back and tells Cleo if they want to join the rest at looking at the gift they can but if they want to be by themselves thats fine too. And as we can see, Cleo seemingly followed

They do talk more later about why they are there and the gods that gift them but i do feel these two were the most important so far I hope we get more of them i love their dynamic so far

Scott and Abolish. The parallels. The Parallels!

Both entertainers (the theatre and arena)

Both very successful (Scott known far and wide even Drift recognised him, and Abolish in his opening showing he was the best)

Both betrayed (Scott killed by an jealous understudy and Abolish (slightly more vague but implied) stabbed in the back - by a jealous rival?student?)

Both know full well they're in entertainment again, but with a much more powerful audience.

Both willing to work with whomever to get as far as they can.

Also, the last scene, I cannot wait for next week and what Abolish is planning to do with Scott's wind charges.

It's just occured to me that the duos/ groups that we're announced together are kinda all teamed up.

From day 1, Pearl and Apo are friends, and Owen is also in this group and Pyro is kinda aligned with them (from what I've seen).

Then from day two, Martyn and Cleo seem to be somewhat friendly, and then Legs somewhat joined the group the Sausage is in with the announced on day one group.

Then the third group are likely to be aligned, Drift and Shelby are besties, Scott has kinda joined them, and Abolish wants to do team stuff with Scott and seems friendly with Drift and Shelby as well.

This was likely on purpose, but if it wasn't its kinda insane how it worked out.

Just here to showcase one of my favourite clips from an episode so far (cut for potential spoilers)

first the lightning hitting then Sausage falling from the cliff and living and coming over like nothing had happened, and then Cleo’s just poofing into a goat, Abolish double taking a few times, before the goat ran away

Okay so I'm just gonna have a bit of a yell about Abolish's episode and potential lore because it's making me go insane

So firstly, his backstory: He was an arena fighter, who was likely very good at it, and was very popular. He 'reached the top' and then felt isolation and boredom (the fights became too easy for him???). His death was from being stabbed in the back - likely by someone he trusted (which may be why he's being so cagey and not telling people much about himself)

Then we get to actual gameplay stuff. Firstly, the nether like cave reminding him of home, then he steps on a magma block and is resistant to the damage, so he likely has some form of passive fire/burn resistance.

And then we get to his powers which he didn't demonstrate at any point

The sword feels like either he gains a special sword or has some form of strength, the anvil gives mace vibes for some reason (partly due to him hinting that he has many weapons, not only a sword, and because of his want for wind charges from Scott). But then there's the other one. It looks like some form of creature (it almost looks like a cross between a wolf and a boar), and I initially thought that it could be that he summons something like Martyn does, but idk how much sense that makes for Hephaestus . Plus Abolish's insistence that this guy is fully human makes me believe that it's not a shapeshifting thing, and therefore I am lost.

And finally alliances. He doesn't seem to have actively made any enemies. He seems to be somewhat allied with Cleo and potentially Shelby and Drift as well. Him and Martyn spent a while together, and Martyn asked him for duel advice. And then him and Scott mad some sort of deal so those two may also be working together.
