You can't win them all. Today I missed my 2 favourite lefts pumping because the farm came first. After a rather eventful 2 hours wrestling our 3 naughty escapee pigs in the dark last night with @sbradford186, I was up and out again before light to spend another 2 hours repairing the pig fence, walking the dogs, feeding the chickens, and maintaining the fire. Growing up in an overly conservative household, I never ever thought I would be involved in politics, yet here I am, aged 28 on a cold January evening and I find myself in a political campaign meeting for the Green Party. My friend Fergal Smith, the most altruistic man I know, is running to be a TD (Teachta Dála or member of parliament) for the Green Party in the next general election. If elected, he will go to Dáil (parliament) and be able to influence real change in our huge powerful political system, not just on environmental issues but across the board at policy level. I have personally changed so much since I met the Smiths. I've changed the way I consume, the way I think, the way I live. Listen to this man. I think the people are ready to hear. Use your power as voters that people fought and died for. Its the freedom of no choice. We have to change now. This is the time to tell the story. The time is perfect. The time is now.
