With Himatsubushi complete, the time has finally come to tackle the answer arcs with our Higurashi Meakashi Tea Party! What is the Higurashi Tea Party, you ask?
Our Tea Parties are Rokkenjima’s biggest event, in which we rally Higurashi fans from all across the internet to join us on the forum to read through, analyse and celebrate the story in question together. It’s the perfect chance for new readers to get involved and share their speculations with other new readers, but also for old readers to take a look back and consider what’s great about the work, perhaps analysing it from a new perspective.
On the forum we have two topics: one for newcomers to discuss without fear of spoilers, and one for veterans to speak freely about the chapter. We also encourage our more creative members to contribute to the Tea Party with fanworks of Meakashi in our Higurashi Fanart topic, and other appropriate topics.
At the conclusion of the Tea Party on the 17th of June, we’ll be recording a spoiler-free podcast incorporating all of the discussion and showcasing fanworks produced throughout the Tea Party, providing the participants with a platform to voice their theories on the mysteries of Hinamizawa. If you’re new to Higurashi and want to be a part of our podcast, we’d love to try you out! Just hop on over to our Podcast Applications Topic and express your interest!

To incentivise contributions to the Tea Party, we’ll be offering two prizes at the conclusion of the Tea Party: one to our best discussion participant, and one to our best fanwork creator! Prizes up for grabs include a copy of the Miracles 07th Expansion Fanzine, a Thanks/You Album, or a Tsumihoroboshi Steam Key reservation.
In addition, from now until the 4th of June we’re hosting a giveaway for a copy of the Higurashi Sou concert DVD and 3 Higurashi Tsumihoroboshi Steam Key reservations!

Theatre fans rejoice! A new 07th Expansion Stage Play has been announced!
Shingidan tweeted that they will be performing the second season of Rose Guns Days! This is a very interesting move since their previous play before last year’s Rose Guns Days play was the Higurashi Prototype - Hinamizawa Bus Stop back in August 2015. It seems the first season did well enough to gather enough attention to do the next part of the story! Could they be doing all four seasons? Only time will tell.
Hinase Momoyama, mangaka of Higurashi’s EP7 and Umineko’s EP6, drew art to commemorate the second season being announced! She was also responsible for designing two of the Rose Guns Days characters - Jeanne Amakawa and Hsiao-Lan.
The play will open on December! More details will be announced in the future so stay tuned!
