Can we get more backstory on hero I’m really curious about him
Yeah of course!! I’ll try to word this as best as I can
(The story and this AU was worked on by me and @tunacritters, go give them some love!!)
The story starts at Kel’s birthday party in Ems (A restaurant we made up as a parody of chuck e cheese) where everyone is at the top floor of the building which is the party room.
Everything goes great at first and everyone’s having the time of their lives until someone hands Sunny a sparkler. One of the sparks from it hits his hand and from the shock, he gets startled and drops it to get away from it. Unfortunately in that moment the sparkler landed near some curtains which immediately caught fire and Sunny couldn’t move from the shock of the situation.
Hero quickly stepped in and got Sunny out of the way before trying to kill the flame but it only grew bigger the more Hero tried to fix it. He sacrificed his own body to guard Sunny and the others as they all evacuated, but Sunny just stared at Hero from a distance until the roof collapsed, blocking off any exit for Hero and Sunny got pulled away to the exit before things got even worse, the last thing he saw being Hero standing in the flames that he ignited.
With no other option, Hero had to jump through the window of the top floor. Until the fire was put out and Ems was in ruins, nobody knew what happened to Hero until they saw him lying on the concrete, covered in burns and blood.
Miraculously, He survived, but the impact from the fall hospitalized and put him into a tragic 4 year-long coma that nobody believed he would wake up from.
Also, because of the fall he got a horrible concussion and got brain surgery for it, which is why he has stitches on his head and some of his hair is shaved. This surgery also caused his brain to completely forget the incident so he has no clue how his body got into this state. (Eventually someone has to tell him though :( )
Also also, I know it’s illogical to only have one side of his body injured by the fire but I DON’T CARE ITS COOL!!!
