Hearing that Mephisto had a son wasn't exactly positive news. Hearing that said son was attending the Avenger's Academy instead of Strange Academy was even worse. He needed to be monitored by magic users, not Avengers. Ultimately, however, Clea had no say. All she could do was regular check-ups to ensure everything was going okay.

"And you're adjusting well?" She asked. "You feel they can teach you properly here?"

"I am not a mortal." Clea corrected him. "But I have lived among them for a long time. There is a lot about them that does not make sense, but they aren't all bad." At the end of the day, Clea had married one.

It had been far too long since Clea had taken the time to check in with her nephew. It wasn't an intentional slight. They had both been so busy that more time had passed than intended. Her journey to the makeshift Strange Academy was an attempt to rectify this.

The Sanctum Sanctorum buzzed. Although it was almost the same physically as the one Clea had come to know over the years, there were undeniable differences. It wasn't rare for the Sanctum of Earth-616 to be inhabited, but the energy was different on Earth-Prime. With the doors had opened to the newly arrived variants — of which Stephen and Clea were included — there was always some sort of activity. It was alive, a low hum in the background that felt inescapable at times. The Sanctum was vast, but it was never quiet. Unlike the days after Stephen's murder, there was life to be found around every corner.

"I don't know." Clea stretched out on the chaise in their room. They had been given the nicer option, with the Clea and Stephen of Earth-199999 regulated to a smaller chamber that had twin beds. Which, considering their strained status, made more sense. "From what I've been able to ascertain, things have been precarious here for six years. The balances are all off. I'm not sure this reality can stand any more arrivals, even if they do want to call it Earth-Prime."
