saying "im actually a real biological vagina having female, and you're so stupid" is not stopping transmisogyny. its in fact contributing more to it. its enforcing the divide between ciswomen and trans women. its making the world unsafe for us. and it's making it so that the next time any woman gets accused of being trans, its gonna be worse for her because of the rise in transmisogyny you are inadvertently contributing to.

its very similar to how you should be talking to cops. the reason people say not to talk to cops isnt just because they will use everything you say against you (they will), but also because any information you do give them, even if it never comes back to you, will be used against other people. anything you do to clear your name to the cops means they can move on the their next target faster. its a form of snitching, even if you dont give up someone specific.

in the same way, even if you're not sending transmisogynists after trans women or if you add some kind of "but theres nothing wrong with being trans", it doesn't mean you're not helping. tell bigots nothing. let them waste their time on you. this also goes for the pronouns in bio thing "oh no but what if someone thinks im trans?" good! we want to make people waste their time and share the burden across as many people as possible. if you exempt yourself immediately you will only give bigots an easier time with hurting people, when simple inaction would've been better.
