Truly I would have been run off this website if I was an ethnic Russian. The fact that I’m not is always something I can fall back on, it makes it easy to dispel accusations of being a Russian ethno-nationalist flung at me by Westerners and Ukrainians alike (although it shouldn’t, IDpol brain is crazy) or whatever the hell. An outsized degree of legitimacy is reserved for me because I’m an (mixed) ethnic Ukrainian who is against Ukraine and because I’m a Ukrainian “WOC”. Russians aren’t afforded the same privilege. Westerners and Ukrainians wouldn’t trust a word out of a Russian’s mouth. And once you understand that you see it everywhere
