“you know it’s n o t, i think it’s cute that you’re the only person in the world who’s actually shorter than me. right, well i love a good surprise, consider me already there, i just need to swing by the cupcakery and then i’ll be all yours. of course i’ll go to the movie fest with you, the third movie was my favorite.”

it’s almost humid; and somehow, she’s pleasant. a mischievous grin is painted upon her face, ruby red lips curled deviously. there’s something, like a hum, from her lips, followed by, “there’s nothing like summer in the city.” almost like a rhythm. “someone under stress meets someone looking pretty.” there’s trouble in the air, you can s m e l l it.

the heat from the sun, the moving bodies, and the pavement make a trifecta of misery as soraya shoulders the burden of a bag filled with too many books. she really does try to limit herself, but it’s hard saying no to good book. consumed by the thought of her own dismay at the heat, she almost crashes into the brunette speaking aloud. “at least someone’s enjoying this weather. are you reciting poetry, that sounds oddly familiar but i can’t say that i can name it off the top of my head.”

Following the line of sight, Soraya raised an eyebrow a tad more concerned than she had previously been. “At least.. at least you’re trying. No one masters their ability on the first try, but, um. What is that with the feathers? Maybe don’t practice that one ever again - it looks like a horror movie prop.”
