back to being fucking homeless I hate my life so much I want to cry
there is nothing stopping me from killing myself anymore. I have no one. I have nothing to live for. I am not loved. I am a waste of air. This is the only place I can vent because I have no one in this world. I can’t take it anymore. This pain is unbearable
when science tells u to distrust men
So for some reason the link feature isn’t working on the mobile app, but I wanted to share this story with you:
This is Jenny Hatch, and like Britney Spears she had to fight in court for an end to her parents’ guardianship. She was 29 when she won her case in 2013.
What’s cool about Jenny’s story is that it wasn’t “I don’t need any help whatsoever.” It was “I need some help sometimes, but I should be able to choose what that help looks like and who is in my support network.”
Because of Jenny’s case, 12 states plus D.C. now have policies to include supported decision making as an alternative to guardianship for adults who need a little extra help. The idea is that we don’t assume that someone who needs some help in one area automatically needs help with everything.
Cool quote from Jenny’s attorney:
“If I go to a mechanic, no one assumes I can’t drive. Where you and I would be called wise for getting help, when a person with a disability needs help, it’s just assumed they’re incapable of doing anything.”
If more adults with Down Syndrome/Trisomy 21 or other intellectual disabilities are able to gain more autonomy in their decision making while still having access to support when and how they need it, I think we will continue to see more and more amazing stories of their achievements.
men just love to hurt women and children and i think that we have a right to kill them for it
forgive me for being a boomer but i hate all those new songs about like sucking dick and fucking men and juicy pussies and hoes and thots and bitches!!! i hate them so much!!! we've heard enough of them already we do NOT need any more
American Psycho was written and directed by a woman
men aren’t allowed to like american psycho
men literally don't know women's culture lmao we be living RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM god what ding dongs
Men do this with everything. When women were pioneers of computer science and they realised it was cool and futuristic, they took over it and pushed women to the fringes. When women used to love the Beatles, all the men called it stupid, but now men proclaim them as "genius" and "legendary". The Star wars fandom was dominated by women, until men pushed us out. Modern gynaecology has obliterated the ancient profession of midwifery because men can't handle not being in charge of reproduction. Not to mention the COUNTLESS female scientists and artists whose works were stolen, and the women pioneers throughout history whose names have been forever lost and obscured. Science fiction and science horror was written by women. American literature is permanently shaped by Emily Dickinson, who was practically unknown at the time because men couldn't handle a genius. 8 million women were burned at the stake for practicing witchcraft, which was actually women acquiring knowledge about nature. I could go on and on.
It's an integral part of male culture to belittle women's immense contribution to culture and progress, because how else will they maintain the mythos of the world belonging to them?
besides the fact that the movie is SO much better due to it being directed and written by women. if you actually watch it you can see that they saw Patrick Bateman for what he is: a sick, sad man who is also just a massive fucking buffoon.
american psycho is like lolita 2.0 where the man is intentionally to be written repugnant as long as you don’t let yourself be manipulated by his own narrative except a bunch of dudes found him sympathetic either bc they’re deranged or they’re stupid enough to not pick up on the narrator lying to you
that’s assuming the average man can understand literature
I wish I was dead

i want to start critiquing this but id look like a fool doing it. i cant even scratch the surface
I was going to try being funny and petty as a response (which I am still very eager to do) but really this is how some people think when they interact with other people, online at least. There's no actual understanding of human beings and society. It's just add and subtract, sorting into groups, no critical thought and no compassion.

what the hell is this.....
WHERE is the video with the guy with the laptop dancing to really bad music please i need this
before i hit play i was like “I’m sure ‘bad music’ is subjective” … and then

Because straight people are ugly
Someone apparently isn’t a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, David Tennant, Martin Freeman, Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston, or any other straight, famous person.
I stopped after Benedict Cumberbatch
devastated to hear about the passing of dr. haunani-kay trask today. while many only know her from the viral “native hawaiian woman responds to caller” video, dr. trask was a renowned hawaiian independence advocate, educator, author, and anti-imperialist. she was also the the co-founder of the kamakakuokalani center for hawaiian studies which is a leading space for kānaka maoli scholarship at the university of hawai’i. rest in power ✊🏼
