IMPORTANT:

As some of you know, I have officially started university now. The career that I have chosen, like many others, requires a lot of time and dedication. I’m not exactly happy about my decision, but I know that it’ll turn out to be the correct one later on; I have decided to go on a hiatus for awhile. I haven’t done anything like attend school, or in this case, university, on a daily basis in almost two years (I graduated from high school rather early), so I know that at first it will be very exhausting for me. I’m willing to stay away from this blog for awhile so I can fully concentrate on my career, my future. I’m not planning to delete this blog, I’m just saying I won’t be on as much as I used to, at least not for the first months, until I get used to the exhausting schedule and I can roleplay again without feeling more stressed out. It’s all about having fun, right? Anyway, the reason why I made this post is to let you, my beautiful followers, know that I haven’t forgotten about this blog! I doubt I ever will.

As some of you know, I have officially started university now. The career that I have chosen, like many others, requires a lot of time and dedication. "Not the first time I get that." Flame Princess quickly replied, turning her gaze upward to look at him. "I don't know. I feel like I can't really control myself today. Not that I often lie, but truth seems to easily find a way to escape my lips. I'm confessing things that I normally wouldn't to anyone's face, and... I can't even stop it." She shrugged her shoulders. "Oh, well. Honesty is a good thing, right?"

"I suppose this is the part where I introduce myself. I'm Flame Princess, and you are?"

Kanna hesitantly reached down to pick up a dust-covered frame. The layer was so thick, she could barely feel the texture of the wood underneath it. How did so much accumulate in those few years? She opened the drawer of a nearby desk, hoping to find something to clean the dust off of the glass so she could see the photo better. Crrreeee… The little undead almost dropped the frame at the sound of the wood creaking before realizing it was just the floorboards creaking. Only, she had been standing still; someone else was still here! Terrified of what she might find, she carefully set down the frame and picked up a rusted poker that caught her eye in a pile of ashes near the fireplace.

Being as dimwitted as she was, she first held it with the pointed end towards herself. It took a few seconds for her to realize her mistake and turn it around. Creee…. There it was again! At this point, the teal-haired girl was trembling, slowly tiptoeing her way towards the door that lead to the hallway. It was strangely illuminated in an orange light. The first thing that crossed her mind was that someone was holding a match. She took a deep breath and stepped out into the hallway to face the intruder. “Stop right the—” Kanna had no idea what she was expecting. Some teenager looking for a place to smoke? A homeless man trying to forage for things to sell? Whatever it was she expected, it was certainly not the fiery embodiment before her. Her first thought clicked somewhere in the very back of her head— ‘A ghost!’— then she screamed in such a high pitch that it broke into falsetto, which was really saying something for Kanna who could sing at nearly a mezzo soprano naturally. She dropped the poker almost as soon as she started screaming and bolted right back into the living room, where she promptly scurried under a desk despite the cobwebs. From anyone’s point of view at the entrance, the only thing that showed were her feet sticking out of the desk.

Flame Princess quickly turned her attention to the direction of the sound of a sudden voice. She nearly jumped out of her skin, her heart was pounding inside her chest. The flames in her hands quickly extinguished themselves as Flame Princess fell back, looking up at the other female, a rather shocked expression on her face. Finding strange things in Ooo, where she came from, was something that she could expect everyday. Nevertheless, the fire elemental felt frightened upon finding out that she wasn't the only one in that house at the moment. The first thought that came to her mind was that the other was a ghost, which wasn't helping her calm down, despite the fact of going there to find some answers, and thinking that she would be prepared for whatever she may find.

As soon as the other started screaming in a high pitch, Flame Princess covered her ears to muffle the sound, but it was still very loud. Her eyes watched as the other female dropped her weapon and ran into the living room. Then it was clear to the fire elemental, the individual was as scared as herself. She raised an eyebrow before getting back up on her feet. After straightening her dress and allowing her respiratory rate gradually fall back to steady, she slowly walked over to the living room, soon enough spotting the other's feet sticking out of the desk. "A-are you a ghost? Is this house really haunted? I'm not here to hurt you, I promise."

He looked down at her, gleaming bright gaze, letting his fingers interlock with hers. Her orange eyes finally followed his, fire dancing so gracefully in the deep red oceans of lava in her colorful irises. “Oh, uh..” He didn’t know how to feel about it. What if she got it again? Finn managed a smile. “Alright, Princess.” The human said, voice mellow. He smiled as she commented so kindly her trust to be safe with him. “Of course, Flame Princess. I’ll keep you safe,” Finn grinned, squeezing her hand back in return. “Oh, uh.. Sure.” He thought for a moment, and looked into his mind for a second. Would Jake think it’s alright for him to suggest him staying the night at her home? Or, would he sugarcoat it to make it seem as if he was trying to sneak around.. Finn thought about this, and nodded. “Well, if you like, I could come stay with you for a night. I’m sure Jake will be okay with it.” He told her, taking the risk to make sure she felt comfortable. He’d do whatever it took just to make her feel safe and sound.

Flame Princess nodded her head, trusting him to keep her safe while they were together. She was glad about deciding to leave her house, instead of staying there and waiting to fall asleep again, despite the fact that the chance of going straight back to the nightmare was big. When she got nightmares, she simply stayed in the same spot most of the times, glancing at the dark corners of the place and hoping that she was alone. "That would be great, Finn. I wouldn't want to disturb Jake." She briefly glanced at her house, then fixed her gaze back on Finn. "Let's go back inside, then." Flame Princess said before starting to walk towards her house, pulling the human boy along with her. "Thank you for staying over. I really appreciate that."
