“ — I would offer more protest, were this not a serious situation.” He’s nothing if not brutally honest, carrying a stoic expression as a hand tentatively rests on the weapon at his hip. Of all the people he should be forced to work with, that it would be this one…it doesn’t settle right with him, but beggars can’t be choosers, it seems.
Sannan lets his gaze linger on the offender in question, before moving them to the other unfamiliar face, as well as the only familiar one. “Well then, there’s no reason to hesitate. With the stakes as high as they are, it would be best that we complete our task as soon as possible.”

How was he supposed to know he had stumbled across a problem set of hands? Oh well. The guy seemed fine to the shinobi–and a bit less on the shady side compared to Souji’s old comrade. Not that he was about to hold that against either of them just yet.
“Right, right. Let’s get this show on the road.”
After a quick sigh Sasuke’s attention shifted to the man in white, offering only a brief apologetic smile. It wasn’t much, but what was more important was getting a better look at the not-quite-a-gun they had been handed for this whole mess. For a moment, anyway, before he handed it to the guy; he looked like he had better hands for these sorts of gizmos.
“Sakamoto, right? I think what our friend here means is you’re with me.”

This was an unexpected surprised that Ryouma couldn’t quite point whether pleasant or complicated. Circumstances had brought him to partner up with a man who shares a known name with Sasuke Sarutobi - and he’s surprised this one isn’t a Servant, no -, and higher circumstances had brought the both of them to… this. Shinsengumi members unlike the ones Rider knows and might even be considered to be on good terms with. While his posture towards them wouldn’t change from the ones he knows, it’s clear he would have to tread much more carefully here.
Well – at the end of the day, they are a team. And so he hopes that is how they shall behave.
“Haha, seems like it.” He gracefully accepts the gun, a somewhat familiar feeling on his hand. “I understand our situation might be a little awkward, but let’s do our best together, yes? As soon as this is done and over with, we can part ways again.” Here’s to hoping Oryo-san won’t cause any major trouble between them until it all ends. It’s a good thing that at least for now, she seems to be only staring threateningly at Sannan and Okita.

“Gladly.”
He hadn’t taken his eyes off the strange woman that stood glaring behind the man in white. He could sense her bloodlust, and it was just as likely she could sense his. As much as this “Sakamoto” seemed intent on not causing too much trouble, he still trusted the guy much less than he could likely throw him. To him, though, he wasn’t the problem; he knew it’d be the sharp-eyed demon that would be the first to jump when things finally went south.
And at this rate, they were definitely going to.
“Honestly, you’re pretty lucky Sasuke was the one that brought you here. That name of yours caused us a lot of trouble way back when. I’d probably have made you pay me back in blood if I’d found you on my own.”
“But I guess we don’t have to worry about that for now. We’ll settle it later. If you’re gonna hold that thing, point us where we need to go. Some of us don’t like burning moonlight.”
