Just lemme know who you are on tumblr 👍
this one time i was in verdant brink and my flesh golem who i have nicknamed Kevin apparently grabbed a bomb from that one event where ur supposed 2 plant them at the base of jungle tendrils in like the start of the map
and we ran like halfway across the map before i noticed it on his hand and i thought it was some weird graphical bug but then i got attacked by something and he dropped this legitimate actual bomb Item i could interact with on the ground to go fight
so i looked it up on the wiki and i think i figured out how/why this happened- the explosive ordnance can be thrown “at the colossal vine, or to an ally to save time.” someone likely accidentally targeted Kevin with the bomb, passing it to him, where he couldn’t use it because. not a player. that is FASCINATING, honestly
Grody would pretty much look the same as in-game model, but with a ram-like head shape and more neck and shoulder fluff. I tried to blend that shoulder-piece to be a part of Grody's fluffy mane haaa...
I like adding "dual-professions" to some of my characters as if professions were genes/traits/abilities that get passed down to them by their parents lol
For my Sylvari with dual-professions that doesn't make any sense buuuut it's fun to play around with when it comes to like Zyffre, who's main is Ele and has very small hints of Mesmer due to his mother Luura being all Ele and his father Ardjin being Mesmer-Ele. It's silly and dumb and I know that's not how that would work, but fun for me to think it goes like that 😂
If Engi were a trait, it'd be like a Summoner kind of ability to me. Instead of eidolons and familiars, it's turrets and gyros mixed in with potions and tools.
Thief is Shadow. Ranger is Nature. Guardian some kinda white/holy abilities. Warrior with that fire/rage. Necro is undeath of course, Revenant is channeling and mistwalking. Ele is ele, Mesmer is mesmer.
I dunno, I think on a very basic level here. I've seen some folks out there who have their entire profession for their characters figured out with elaborate mechanics and what have you, and that's really cool.
Some terms for myself cus I keep forgetting things. These are meant for my Guild Wars 2 verse. Feel free to ignore this list.
Arcangen Facility -> one of Ardjin's facility, this one was located in Brisban Wildlands. It was known as the Arcane Genetics lab where splicing of creatures with dragon minions happened here. Mostly Sylvari were successful in these experiments. Notable splices were Iredyne, a Sylvari who was spliced with his fernhound, and Lunaria, a Sylvari who was spliced with a melandru stalker. Lunaria was used for the Mists and so she can't maintain a physical form in Tyria anymore. Iredyne escaped.
Arcanotech Facility -> another of Ardjin's (hidden) facility near where the Thuamanova Reactor used to reside. This was the place where unethical experiments with augments and magic infusions happened. A lot of experiments involving the Mists, dragon energies, and chaos magic happened here.
AT-18-0014 -> Raennyn's experiment name. 'AT' stands for Arcanotech, '18' is the 18th project, and '0014' is the 14th subject/experiment.
Dreamless Sylvari -> a term I use for Sylvari who were completely severed from the Dream when they emerge from their pod. This is different from Soundless as Soundless Sylvari are still connected to the Pale Tree and chose to meditate to quiet the Dream, whereas Dreamless Sylvari have no connection to the Pale Tree at all. Known Dreamless Sylvari in my story include the Secondborn podtwins Aurenthir and Ceara, and Malyck. Aurenthir has an extra ability to silence the Dream within his proximity. This was rather disconcerting to other Sylvari who rely on the Dream so early in Aurenthir's years his own kin avoided him. Later during Heart of Thorns however, this ability also silences Mordremoth's call.
P.E.T -> Amarailly's medical mech, called Portable Emergency Tent as it turns into a quick sterile medical shelter for emergencies during battle. P.E.T has very minimal combat abilities and very strong defensive capabilities and shields.
Mistborne Stabilizer -> a device that converts unstable magical energies into stable magic in order to stabilize the subject in the Mists. It prevents leaving behind a decaying copy and makes it easy for the subject to phase through the Mists without issue. Problem with this however are the subjects chosen. It took 13 different beings of testing, with none of them surviving long after. The 14th subject, Raennyn, was the one to survive both the process and the traversing of the Mists due to his special condition. This device was attached close to Rae's heart, accompanied with augmented neural crystals embedded along his spine. Ardjin has purposefully made the device faulty so that Rae would need routine maintenance and never stray far from the facility, least the device fails and he dies.
Mystic Orenda [Prototype] -> a device created from Zyffre's blueprints when he was working with Prof. Gorr. The blueprints had somehow ended up in Kudu's hands and he had an untested prototype built into the Iron Forgeman in Sorrow's Embrace. The device converted unstable Elder Dragon magic into usable energy, or at least that was the theory. It worked, but the Iron Forgeman was dismantled by Zojja, Caithe, and the Pact Commander.
Mystic Orenda & V-Type -> an upgraded and revised version of the Mystic Orenda Prototype, which was used to better control dragon minions during LWS4. This would later be converted as the Orenda V-Type to replicate Void magic into stable energies for Void-Emulation Specialists to wield.
On the left we have Aurenthir as the Herald of Mordremoth and the Grovekeeper of Thorn Hollow. His outfit is mostly inspired by Scarlet Briar's outfit due to these two being podtwins in my story. Backpiece is mostly for in-game aesthetic.
On the right, that's Aurenthir's outfit after being defeated during HoT, going into hiding for a few years, then re-emerging during EoD. Since he's not under the influence of Mordremoth anymore, he's in Cantha befriending the Brotherhood and becoming besties with Yao.
Okay first off @heyitsmejona you're an MVP and a superstar! Thank you so much for the questions!
The questions copied directly from the tags:
did they move out of the grove? if yes were there any people left behind? like close friends? how did that go down
what are they doing now? and why?
which people did they meet later in life (other dreamless sylvari) or others?
how do they feel about being dreamless? what troubles does it bring to their character? or did they ever have some kind of revelation?
how involved are they in the story? how do they think and feel about the story progressing around them? are they just a bystander?
did they ever meet someone famous?
Note, I am running on like a few hours of sleep so if parts of this post stops making a lot of sense, I apologize in advance!
Okay, so to start off, everything I type out here will mainly apply to my own alternate version of the GW2 story along with my headcanons. For instance, Dreamless is different from Soundless. Soundless were and are still connected to the Dream, and choose to quiet it by their own volition. Dreamless are Sylvari that were completely cut off from the Dream the moment they popped outta the pod.
There were only three Sylvari in my au that came out to be Dreamless: Ceara (aka Scarlet Briar), Aurenthir, and Malyck. Ceara and Aurenthir were podtwins, and Malyck will appear in Aurenthir's life just before HoT starts (during the events of LWS1).
Also, Aurenthir does have split timelines depending on events that happen early in his life. I'll answer for the "main" timeline he goes through. If anyone is curious about his alternate timeline, feel free to toss me some asks :D

Alright, now to answer the questions! This is gonna be text-heavy, so under the cut it goes. Oh and possible spoilers for some LWS2 and expacs like HoT and EoD. Thank you for your time!
did they move out of the grove? if yes were there any people left behind? like close friends? how did that go down
Aurenthir did leave the Grove after the death of Firstborn Wynne. He and Wynne became close as siblings and her death was painful for him, so he left with his podtwin to travel around Tyria. He and Ceara were pretty much outcasts to their own people, so making the choice to leave the Grove wasn't hard. The only other Sylvari he was kinda close to was Cadeyrn (they had a brief, intimate relationship) and Canach (still kept in touch with him after all these years).
what are they doing now? and why?
Aurenthir's been traveling around. Last place he was spotted at was in Cantha, helping Rama and Yao. Been playing with the idea of him opening a tea-house there.
During VoE, Aurenthir's not involved. His story kinda ended when Aurene and Lyikera went to sleep. They were like his daughters; he was there when they hatched, helped raise them, and went through so much trials and tribulations in their short lives. Saying goodbye to them was really hard for him.
which people did they meet later in life (other dreamless sylvari) or others?
While Aurenthir traveled with his sister, they ended up in the Black Citadel and then Hoelbrak. Aurnethir got to meet a lot of different people and grew an interest in the different cultures. He parted ways with Ceara when she wanted to go to Rata Sum, and he didn't want anything to do with the Asura due to trauma, so he headed for Divinity's Reach. He lived in DR for a while cus the culture and history of the Humans fascinated him. He'd often travel back and forth to Lion's Arch and Ebonhawk.
It would be about a year before the events of LWS1 that he'd travel westward and revisit the Maguuma centaurs. From there, he'd end up in the heart of the Maguuma jungle and learned about the Druids and began partaking the rituals to become a Druid. He'd later find Malyck in the jungle and take him under his wing after learning Malyck has the same condition as him: being disconnected from the Dream. The two bonded like cats and keep each other company.
how do they feel about being dreamless? what troubles does it bring to their character? or did they ever have some kind of revelation?
Being Dreamless bothered Aurenthir in his early years cus he wanted to be a part of his people, to have a connection. His sister didn't see it that way and was never bothered by the fact they were both cut off from the Dream. Aurenthir was unique though, cus on top of being Dreamless, he had an innate ability to "silence" the Dream when other Sylvari were in his proximity. This ability was what made other Sylvari keep away from him and Ceara, and that made Aurenthir feel isolated and lonely.
Cadeyrn took advantage of this ability, as he and Aurenthir had similar opinions about Ventari's Tablet. Their personalities were completely different, but somehow they ended up in a brief relationship. That relationship only broke off once Cadeyrn admitted he was using Aurenthir to recruit other Sylvari into going against the Tablet. Well, it was moreso Ceara telling Aurenthir to break it off cus Cadeyrn's an asshole, and she didn't appreciate that he was using her little brother like that 😂
For a while, Aurenthir kinda lived like a hermit in the heart of Maguuma jungle. When HoT started, many Sylvari discovered that being around Aurenthir silence the Dragon's Voice. So not only did Aurenthir's innate ability silenced the Dream, it also negated Mordremoth's Voice.
Now with Jormag during IBSaga, that was different. Aurenthir did hear Jormag, and at one point comments that he was glad he never experienced what his people had to go through with Mordremoth lol.
how involved are they in the story? how do they think and feel about the story progressing around them? are they just a bystander?
Aurenthir gets involved with the main story during Heart of Thorns. He plays a pretty significant part in keep the other Sylvari in the group stable, especially the Pact Commander, Roaj who nearly got turned Mordrem.
Going from living quietly with the Itzel and Malyck to having all these distraught Sylvari seeking him to shut the Dragon's Voice up in their heads was stressful for him. Like, he kinda got what he wished for when he was a Sapling, but in a time of great strife. And he wants none of it now. But, he helps where he can.
After Mordremoth was defeated, he thought he would go back to his quiet life. Nope! Suddenly two baby Elder Dragons (Aurene and Lyikera) entered his life and he became a dad. Off to Elder Dragon adventures he goes lol.
did they ever meet someone famous?
If he has, he doesn't recognize them as famous. He's had audience with Queen Jenna, he's met Logan. He kinda knew Kas and Marjory, but got to know them better when they officially meet him during HoT. They did not get off on the right foot as Marjory initially believed Aurenthir was working with Scarlet Briar (Aurenthir had no idea that was the name his sister used, he only knew her as Ceara).
He's only known Trahearne from the brief times he's seen him during his early years, and then meeting him face-to-face at the end of HoT. He knows Caithe and has little love for her due to the whole situation that happened with Wynne. Over time tho, he's more understanding of her situation and why things went the way they did.

Again, thank you for the questions! Uhhh, here's a small screenshot of alternate timeline Aurenthir for your troubles! ♥
