i’m not very active on this account, occasionally i’ll get the motivation for a short burst of activity but i rarely have the spoons to publicly ramble when i am in the mood to do so ^^;

i think tumblr is trying to eat my posts ^^; i've been trying to revive this blog for the past day or two and i'm kind of tempted to just move blogs again since i don't think anyone is seeing my posts. (though if you do see this, please like it so i know if my posts are still showing up for folks)

#he kept glowing in this zone too for some reason #this screenshot was taken during a cinematic but outside of it he was an absurdly bright blue beacon #help somebody turned my blueberry angel into a glowstick

#also waves!!!#i missed interacting with my mutuals and now i am slightly less preoccupied with school and absorbing all of the shadowlands stuff #qpp: soft poems etched on time-worn scrolls

the fun of making wow self inserts is that every time i make one i inevitably end up absorbing a whole lot of lore and content that i didn’t even know existed!!! even with a game that i’ve been playing as long as i could reach a keyboard and mouse there’s so many niche little things that i never noticed (not to mention how hilariously out of touch i am with the central storyline)

there’s so much cool stuff that normally the process gets a little out of hand and my s/is almost become more like ocs but it’s still really fun!!!

#the two s/is i'm working on right now actually probably wouldn't have come into existence if i wasn't so hellbent on having all the classes #they probably would have both defaulted to hunter or druid because i vibe with those classes best #but i already have 2 hunters and 2 druids one each on horde and alliance #so my venthyr s/i herith is a worgen blood death knight #and my kyrian s/i askorik is a draenei retribution paladin!#which aren't really classes i would envision myself ever embodying #but it's another universe and you never know! which almost makes it more fun than going with the default #the satyr speaks

i think it’s really funny that before shadowlands launched i planned on putting just 1 character in the kyrian covenant and now two months later, after having finished the covenant campaign on my monk i am damn-near speed-leveling my priest and newly created paladin to be able to go hang out in bastion and do the covenant campaign quests multiple times over

unfortunately most of the content with my two qpps is specific to either one way of leveling (the general shadowlands campaign) and end-game content locked to only characters who choose the kyrian covenant but!!! i can always go sit in elysian hold with them at the very least

#bastion is slowly becoming suramar 2.0 in terms of hyperfixations #funny blue angels go brrrrrrr #unfortunately i am less enthused by the nightfae than i thought i would be #the storyline is a bit too jumpy and brings back a lot of things from bfa that i didn't enjoy #which is to say any and all of bfa #but specifically the whole night warrior plot because i give no shits about tyrande #haven't had the chance to run through the venthyr campaign though so i'm excited for that!!!#i may have. a slight crush. on one big gargoyle man but shhhhhh #okay tag ramble over #the satyr speaks

i’ve been trying somewhat unsuccessfully for the past half hour to come up with tags for kleia and pelagos. mainly because i keep getting sidetracked with cute thoughts and then i look back at my screen and go “ah that’s what i was doing” and the cycle continues

i don’t know how serleil or runas would end up in the shadowIands (since they’d both be appearing there as mortals much like the maw walker/player character) but i think it would be really funny if they were requested to come across the veil to help with the venthyr rebellion by the virtue of “hey you helped successfully overthrow one power-hungry corrupt leader, can you come help with another one?”

the area around castle nathria feels a lot like questing in suramar city did too, with the helpful npcs being scattered throughout a vast (and very mazelike) city filled with hostile mobs that you have to dodge to get places (although there was a disguise to get past some of the mobs in suramar, there isn’t one to bypass them around castle nathria)

they would both fit in really well with the covenant from what i’ve heard of the ember court sanctum ability too, party planning for a bunch of snarky vampires would be RIGHT up runas’s alley. serleil would probably be less thrilled by having to coordinate things but i can’t imagine venthyr court parties being too dissimilar from lady lunastre’s parties

me now realizing that i have spent the entire week absolutely engrossed in the storyline to the point of forgetting to liveblog or post on here at all:

#I'M HAVING A LOT OF FUN WITH IT!!!! I'M GONNA WORK ON WRITING A COUPLE OF POSTS TONIGHT ABT IT #i have obtained 1 more parental f/o and several more crushes in the span of 6 days and my gay little brain cell is just going wild #i don't want to resume doing schoolwork tomorrow aughh the break went by so fasr #i want to make a s/i for each covenant not even specifically for shipping reasons i just think they're all so neat....#there are so many things i want to write and draw and play through and not enough time to do much of it at all #the satyr speaks

i just got into oribos and i love all of the funky little ethereal-esque dudes here oh my goodness...

they’re so polite and i care about them!!!!! all of their on-click dialogue is so nice and caring and i love all of them. i’ve been in oribos for 10 minutes and if anything happened to these little dudes i’d be very upset. i don’t even know what they’re called but i appreciate them

#AAAAAAAAA #i'm trying so hard to focus on class work i really am but it's just not getting done #i hope the servers are ready for the flood of people the minute it launches... especially with everyone being funneled into the same area #icecrown has been so laggy recently so i hope they put the sl intro on different server shards to mitigate that

#i haven't been this excited for an expac since pandaria AAAAAA #though ig i was like 12 at the time it didn't take much for me to get excited #but i didn't play/wasn't initially interested in legion or bfa at launch #which is funny because now legion is one of my favorite expacs to level in w/ the illidari and the nightborne being there #i can't wait to go run around ardenweald it looks so pretty and the night fae are literally everything i could ever want out of a faction #this has been keeping me going for months and i can't wait to just go full hyperfixation and absorb all of the content #the satyr speaks
