Already talked about this once but getting help preening must be such an intimate thing for an angel. Something sweet and sensitivie, akin to showering together or tending to a wound from a slight bout of clumsiness while cooking. Unfiltered care and closeness and touch. It's just about the closeness and vulnerability and the sweet domesticness of it all.

An angel's wings are just so sensitive to touch, such a big world this mortal realm is, with so many new sensations and kinds of touch. So a gentle caress and tap on Its wings is able to get It flinching and skittering.

To an angel it's the highest form of love and trust, to be able to recieve safety and comfort in such a vulnerable position, bare to the touch and uncovered completely. Kneeling like one once did nervously to a unloving god, now kneeling to recieve tender care and love as you're preened and pet safely. Recieving a kiss on Its head as an invitation for more divine love from a sweet mortal <3
