I’ve been trying to find the right words to explain what happened when we got to Whistler. The right words to describe the moments leading up to us cancelling the #soulfindingcycle. But I doubt I will find the right words, so I’ll use these for now…

Calgary
It's been a very flat, very rainy, dreary ride, but we have finally made it to Calgary, AB! I can't contain my excitement, my face is glued to the window anticipating the first site of something other than grass that spans as far as the eye can see. Give me some mountains!
Ontario
The province we call home is a BEAST! We've been driving for more than a day now and we still haven't reached the end; close , but no cigar! It's crazy to think we'll cross four more provinces in approximately the same amount of time we've taken from downtown Kitchener to just outside the Manitoba border! The anticipation is almost unbearable, but our excitement is rising as we inch closer to our destination! Day one is stilling progress...
Hayden and I have been planning an epic bike ride across Canada for the last 11 months, and a recent fainting spell at work left us wondering if we'd be able to take off on our adventure. I spent almost a week in the hospital with an uncontrollably high heart-rate, pneumonia and two broken front teeth. I underwent a myriad of tests preparing for worst case answers: a blood clot in my heart or lungs. Thankfully my high heart-rate was related by hyperthyroidism, a condition that runs in my family and something I never knew I had. The cause of my fainting remains to be unknown, and am still awaiting an actual diagnosis (getting in to see a specialist is no easy feat). Most of my savings for this trip were unexpectedly spent on fixing my teeth: appointments, consultations, a root canal and a temporary bond to hide the "hillbilly-ness." Any help, support or donations would be be the most awesome thing to come out of 2014! Thank you for taking the time to read and assist however possible!
The epic adventure is quickly approaching, and Hayden and I are on a mission to prepare! Our wonderful #treetent from @Tentstile is SUPER AWESOME - I can't wait to be in some random forest, chilling in a hammock, looking at the stars (with my sweet #starguide!).

I'm officially addicted to BC!
Obsessed! I know every provincial park on our route between Whistler and Golden. I know the daily distance between stops, every grocery store, sights to see, and nearby bike shops - just in case!Â

A couple months ago I jokingly said to my friend Hayden, "Yo! We should bike across Canada next summer!" His reply? "HECK YES!"
Who are we?
Just two relatively normal gingers living in Kitchener, ON where I was born and raised - Hayden's been back and forth between here and Mississauga. We met working together at a local tech startup ("the thing" to do in this town) and despite neither of us working for the company have managed to remain AWESOME friends!
We both found a love for cycling this summer as we toured, explored and got lost on adventures around the area.
Our soul finding cycle from coast to coast is slated to begin in June 2014 in Whistler, BC!
