Yang was an orphan and was adopted by a church. This church's name is Circle Church, and they're all about peace, unity, and togetherness, spreading pacifist beliefs far and wide in Faerun, though their teachings have become more varied as their districts spread to far places.

Yang lived in the Western Monastery, which is located about a mile or so away from Luskan. He grew up sheltered and was given lots of love and education. He borrowed his main speaking voice from his childhood friend, before said childhood friend moved to a northern district, inspiring him to explore the world. As he hears more and more stories, his curiosity only grew, before it culminated into him quite literally fighting to prove that he's capable of handling the world on his own.

Yang lands a job in a guild called the OddJobs Adventuring Guild. There, he meets such a colorful array of people and experiences a lot of new things whose feelings could not be replicated by merely hearing from stories and reading from text. His viewpoints become challenged and he struggles with his conscience, unable to truly determine justice. What's worse is that all those years of dependency has conditioned him to be too obedient for his own good, disciplining himself harshly in private and making sacrificial decisions.

He's become a gun unknowingly, slowly eating himself from the inside and slowly accepting in the darkness.
