Text || Sara & Megan
Sara: I need to punch someone, or a drink
Sara: Preferably both
Sara: [five minutes later] Scratch that, now I just need a drink
Megan: aw man I can't help with either of those currently
Megan: I did see an actual sale on at the wine store right next to that massive McDonalds though, I think it's near Elms Park
HC // FAE RESPECT
If Jubilee and Jason ever went to the Otherworld, they would be highly respected by the Faeries, purely because they, as "mere fragile mortals" slept with Megan, and didn't lose their minds and die. You're pretty much considered to be a minor celebrity for it. Admittedly its different for Megan as she is only half Fae, but still. Fae kudos for you both. Megan had no idea.
WHERE WEâRE YOU?Â
@nospiderling
// MEGAN
Megan was in her condo, munching down on the plethora of treats Peter had bought her when she happened to flick the channel, pausing when she caught the name the woman on screen said.
Peter Parker. Good old Peter, sweetest soul Megan knew.
Ice washed over her when the woman, Gwen, his girlfriend- Fuck- outed him.Â
âOh gods. Oh fuck, oh shit, oh bloody fucking shitâ Megan scrambled for her phone, knowing first hand how dangerous this kind of thing was. She had no idea what was going on, only that Peterâs life had just been changed forever and he was in deep, deep shit.
// 514a
âCheck it out! Gwen thinks Peterâs Spiderman!â 514A happened to hear as he walked through the park, and stopped dead.Â
His head tilted to listen as the group his age crowded around the speakerâs phone. The voice of someone he didnât know saying Peterâs name, declaring him Spiderman. Without saying a word the clone walked closer, eyes narrowing when laughter broke out in the group, all declaring there was no way âthat loserâ was Spiderman. More insults than compliments flowed from their lips and no, they were wrong. Peter was nice. Peter showed him music. Peter made the world make more sense.
The video suddenly changed, this time some strange remix on Youtube making fun of it all. Over their shoulders 514A leaned down and saw that the new video was a parody, with someone playing a loop of Gwenâs declaration over an old recording of Peter tripping over.
One of the girls screamed, and the other teens jumped out of their skin, when an arm suddenly appeared between herself and the boy holding out his phone for the group to watch, and all mirth drained out of their face when 514A put a gloved hand over the phone and snapped it clean in half.
// ALEX
Katie was watching TV, which was not helpful because he had to get her to the train station within five minutes and once she settled down to watch some-
 His frustration was squashed when he saw just what she was watching.
âDaddy, whoâs Spiderman?â
Alexâs jaw hung and fear shot through him. No, no, no, no, no.
No. Peter wasnât safe. No. No. No.
âKatie, get your bag youâre going around Uncle Gabeâsâ
âBut I thought we were going to Utopioâ Katie scrunched up her nose, mispronouncing the name of the Mutant island.
Alex already had her bag on his shoulder, flicking the TV off and hoisting her up on his hip even though she was too big for that now. âChange of plans, sweetie, daddy has to be somewhere and it is very, very importantâ
Nightmare & Darkchylde - Megan and Illyanaâs demon forms
HC // APPEARANCE
Megan doesnât know it yet, but in the Otherworld where Faeries reside thereâs a lake that can restore her regular appearance (after a few sessions of swimming in it). Because the generations fae magic is so potent in it it will wash away and reverse the weaker demonic decay her body went through from Saturnineâs torture and Limbo's magic in general.
It wonât do anything for the empty darkness in her soul and how that gave her the now iconic black streaks in her hair, but it would erase the outside change since Limboâs affect was completely aesthetic.
If sheâd let her mother come visit her sheâd find this out but currently Megan isnât in the mood for her stuck up, bigoted and racist mother.
I spent so long terrified of Nightmare and now thanks to the months in Limbo Iâm even closer to becoming her.

    âYou got food? I brought you some since you always spotted me when I needed some.â He rose his arms, grocery bags filled with various types of food. He knew sheâd find out who he really was soon enough but he liked to have people who just saw him as Peter, it was nice.
@soulitches
Megan had completely full cupboards and a fridge, but nonetheless was absolutely delighted by the amount of food her friend had brought over. After making sure the chain was on the door after she closed it, Megan took one of the bags off him to look inside, grinning, and in a moment she became overwhelmed by how understanding and nice Peter was. Just as him.
She threw one arm around his shoulder, the other holding the bag, and pressed a grateful kiss to his cheek. âThank you, Peter. Gods, this is so nice. You even bought Benân Jerryâs and itâs cookie dough!â
Megan detached herself and beckoned him over to the kitchen. âCome, come, you need to share this with me and I wanna hear all the updatesâ

âWhat? Never seen an armored outlaw just feeling sorry for himself, on a rooftop, in the middle of the night? Doesnât Batman do this all the time?â
âNaw, Iâve seen it before, I just wasnât expecting anyone on my roof.â Megan replied conversationally, coming to sit next to him. âYou into feeling sorry for yaself alone or can a monstrous faerie mutant join you?âÂ
She tilted her head.
âIsnât Batman meant to be retired?â
johnconstantine-hellblazer:
When John was new to a city, he always got a feeling of âdisconnectednessâ from his surroundings. Â It wasnât like being an outsider - he was well used to that - this was more like feeling uncomfortable in your own skin, and the best way John knew how to deal with this feeling was to walk the streets & smoke copious amounts of cigarettes until it eventually turned into familiarity.
The sidewalks in this part of the city were like a river of people at this hour, and John was swimming against the flow. Â Thanks in equal parts to his sullen demeanour and the minor cantrip heâd woven around himself, most people stayed out of his way but there were always the odd ones who were too self-absorbed to be affected. John grumbled under his breath as he got jostled by another person untouched by his spell and searched his pockets for the packet of cigarettes he always carried.
Pausing to flick open his lighter - and ignoring the annoyed muttering of the people around him - John took the blessed smoke deep into his lungs and sighed contentedly. Â Heâd had enough of walking and there was no way heâd get a cab at this time of day;Â Time to hit the tube, my old son, he thought to himself, changing direction and heading for the subway entrance.
John noticed a change in atmosphere as soon as he was below ground. Â It was almost as crowded as the streets above, but the flow of people was different - more urgent, like a herd avoiding a potential threat - and there was a familiar, magical scent in the air. Â It didnât take long for John to spot the source and he pushed his way through the crowd, cigarette hanging out of his mouth as he shouted at people to get out of his way.
âAlright you lot, come on⊠Piss off⊠Thereâs nothinâ to see here,â John said forcefully as he put himself between a small crowd of onlookers and the young woman cowering on the floor. The effect of his words, combined with the still-active cantrip, quickly got people moving again, albeit with furtive glances over their shoulders as they walked away. Ignoring them, John knelt beside the woman (girl?) and rested a hand on her trembling shoulder.
âAlright there, love?,â he asked gently, taking the cigarette from his lips and tossing it away. âLooks like you got yerself inna bit of a pickle down âere⊠Anything I can do to help?â
Megan looked up carefully from her hood when she felt a hand on her shoulder, and felt warm through from the kindness. Despite everything that had happened to her in life she always kept faith that the world was inherently kind and gold could be found anywhere if you were willing to see it.Â
The accent had her smiling slightly too. It wasnât one she had heard in a long time, as surprisingly rare to hear as her own.
Around him she could sense something, a trace of magic pooled in the middle of pure magic and demonic. Not as bright and overwhelming as Zatannaâs rich aura, but still stronger than Meganâs own and just as comforting.Â
She risked looking up at him, taking off her broken sunglasses, and gave him a closed mouth smile to hide the fangs. Her arms hugged around her baby belly, still overjoyed that she could say in confidence that the little girl inside was safe.
ââAm now. Thought I could manage going out but forgot thereâs a rush hour on the way back: I think I frightened some peopleâ Megan whispered, a mix of her own oversharing nature and the assurance of his magical nature making the words come easy from her lips. As lovely as her friends were, Megan had missed meeting new people. The excitement of chatting to strangers and seeing a tiny glimpse of other bright lights and lives.
Her black eyes flickered over him, seeing deeper than his outward appearance.
âDo... do you think you could walk me home? With your helpful little âgo awayâ aura going on... Presumptuous I know, I mean you could be a total psycho and murder me, but ehâ Megan shrugged. She knew he wouldnât. His soul was interesting but not dangerous. Not harmful. She gestured to her form, which he didnât seem bothered by. âThis attracts more attention than I want right nowâ

arsxnalroy:
He got sent home early from work after causing multiple scenes with his boss. The first one wasnât his fault at all though. She came over and started screaming at him and Roy just took it. Then she called him a druggie and he started shouting back which called for a âtime outâ where he got put into the conference room. The conference room walls were made of glass so she kept staring at him and that only made him angrier so he got up to tell her to take a picture because itâd last longer.
It was a surprise he wasnât firedâ but he knew theyâd never fire him. They needed Arsenal too much to ever do that. But Roy swore he was finishing the Dent case and then he was out.
While he was busy looking at his phone and texting Jay as he walked, he collided with a woman and dropped his phone. âNoâ it was uhâ it was me. Iâm sorry. I should look where Iâm going.â Normally Roy would go on some long ramble and follow it up with a lame joke but he just wanted to go home after his shitty day.
All attempt at hiding herself was briefly forgotten when Meganâs head snapped up at the familiar voice, and her face pulled into a smile without her say. Instead of small, square teeth, a long row of canines were flashed Royâs way.
âRoy? Oh mi god, RoyâÂ
He looked pissed but otherwise great, and given she made him drop his phone Megan couldnât blame him for being annoyed. She wondered if heâd seen Jason, then tsked herself, of course Roy had seen Jason. Those two were a solid pair. Megan had tons of envy for their bond, envy mixed with fluff, rainbows and the overwhelming need to trap them both in a hug.
To an onlooker who didnât know her she was terrifying. Heavy, obvious layers of makeup, smeared and blue around the edges, one black eye glaring out behind a cracked lens and shark teeth was hardly a friendly sight and Megan abruptly turned on her heels to face the wall when a child screamed. She listened carefully as the child was ushered onto the train by their confused and annoyed parent, and then turned back around to face Roy again as the train set off. Her smile this time was closed mouth and more cautious, but no less warm.
âHi... Um. Sorry, itâs me, Megan? Itâs been a whileâ
No matter how much she feared leaving her condo, Megan had no choice. She had to go to her check up and find out what, if anything, had happened to her child from such long exposure to Limbo.Â
Even though she was accustomed to hiding herself all she had to do before was dye her hair and bind her wings. Pop some sunglasses on. This time she emptied her entire make up bag on the bed and used up what was left in one bottle, and an entire second bottle of foundation, carefully dabbed on with her brushes, to cover her face, neck and hands. The veins were covered with concealer and Megan cringed at how plastic she looked, how fake, but it was legions better than the creepy pasta Avatar cosplay she sported. Three hours after starting, Megan was bound, hidden and unwillingly ready to go.
Four hours after starting, Megan stood in front of the bathroom mirror of her private midwifeâs office toilets dabbing concealer over the streaks her black tears had washed down. Tears of relief.
Zatanna had already told her the baby was free of demonic impurities but seeing it on the scan herself overwhelmed her. Her little bean was alive, well and doing just fine.
She hadnât failed her. Yes, her, she was having a daughter.
Now she just had to get home. During rush hour.
Hood over her antenna Megan pushed her glasses further up her nose as she weaved through the sudden crowds along the subway, wary of being around so many people, and flinched when someone collided with her: one of her claws smashing through the fabric of her gloves and the lens of her sunglasses from her jerk.
âSorryâ Megan gasped, looking down and tugging her sleeve over her exposed finger. She backed herself into a corner, as secluded as the busy station would allow, and winced at the horrified look a stranger passing by shot her when gravity pulled an antennae out from under her hood to flop down in front of her face. âSorry, sorry...â
