Here is a Shantae OC I came up with a while ago! She’s a human named Haven from Windmill Town. The town doesn’t have any half-genies to protect it, so Haven took it upon herself to train to fight to protect her town. The weapon she uses is an urumi; a flexible, whip-like blade.

State of Esuka

Heya everyone,

I wanted to write a quick thing and let you guys know what’s going on with *gestures to all of me*. In mid November, I started a new job, as a game outsource artist. Simply put, game studios work with my studio to create additional art, or finish/clean up art that they started. It’s been a big shift over these last couple of weeks, but I’m really excited going forward. It’s my first full, proper job as a game developer, which I was starting to think was never going to happen.

Prior to getting this job, I had started streaming, and was looking at varied sources of income without a proper “Adult Job.” I did enjoy streaming, and I hope you guys enjoyed it as well. I haven’t been able to much, as a consequence of new job stuff and generally being busy. I’m aiming to do a stream tomorrow evening, will post in advance when it’s going to happen.

Now, as for the Academy. I have no intention of it going anywhere, or for anything to change. I’m really thankful for everyone who continues to enjoy it, and I want to see it through to the end. It’s been… jeez, ten years? Something like that. Anyway, the Academy is going to continue. However, between work, other projects, and my game, there is a good chance I just won’t have time to make updates. There is always the threat of burnout as well, it strikes when you least expect it. I just wanted to say this ahead of time, and hope you understand.

Finally, regarding Pages (my game), I hit a sort of burnout with that, and haven’t made much progress in the last couple months. However, with work secured (for now at least), I can now push forward on it as a pure passion project. So, I’ll hopefully have some updates about that soon.
