Even I didn’t make them turn, It still feels like I did because I gained a lot out of this experience. Out of the thousands who auditioned, to be chosen to sing on THAT stage, to be given this opportunity, to go out of my comfort zone, that we ALL had to perform in a “not-so-best state”, as we were all exhausted from the activities and dreadful hours waiting for our turn, to come out of this competition braver, taking a risk at knowing that we could be bombarded by comments that could blow our confidence that we worked so hard for in years, to meet amazing, ridiculously talented new friends along the way, to experience these, I am grateful. More than anything, this made me realize how important my dream is for the people who love me. To my parents, my sister Jaja, my cousin ate Kat, who literally stopped their world, didnt go to work and stayed up super late just to be able to come with me on shoots and be there as my support team. My ate who didn’t come with us as she couldnt bear the pressure, yet was very constant in texting me, telling me to stay calm and just pray. My Summer, whose hug wrapped it all,who said I was still a winner to them even if I didnt make it. My boyfriend who tried with all his might to keep me calm from the moment I got the call that I made it to the blind audition up to the last min of this battle; who made sure I was okay and who has been reminding me to always look at the bright side of things. My friends Marga, Paul and Bec who made sure to be there for me. My friends who couldn’t be there but took time to message me and who held me with their prayers. Thank you Pau for taking a chance on me and being the instrument for me to finally penetrate this program. To my friends who I didnt inform, I would have loved to see you during my audition but we were asked to keep it low so as not to preempt the content of the program. Either way, present or not I know you would have given me such an overwhelming support. And to those who do not know me personally but expressed so much support at what I do, I had you in mind when I was in the tension room and seconds away from performing. You were one of the reasons why I had the strength and grace to do this. I will take the judges’ comments to be better at what I do. One thing is for sure, you haven’t seen the last of me. Again, people in my life, thank you very much from the bottom of my grateful heart.
