“Not at all. I think Vesper went on an errand with Mom so it’s just me here and I’d like the company if you hand the time. Would you like an E-tank or something else to drink?”
“If you’re sure, I’ve got plenty of time to kill.”
Aiden entered Tempo’s home as per her request, and remembered how much he missed hanging out with her. Busy days, busy days...
“How have you and your family been? I haven’t heard much from them.”

When Aiden finally finished his shift (and some leftover paperwork), he got what he needed to bring to Tempo and teleported to her home. He knocked on the door and waited.
At hearing the knock Tempo opened the door and smiled up at her friend.
“Hey Aide, thanks again for the help.”
She took the needed item from his hands and placed it down where it could be accessed when needed.
“Oh and please come in.”
"Always happy to help! And sure, if you don't mind."
Of course Tempo didn't mind, she just invited him in. He had some time before karaoke anyway, he could spend a while with his friend.

Star hummed to himself as he left work. He had the rest of the day off, and after making sure that everything wa sin order he had left.
A while after he had stopped, staring across the street. He had spotted a DLN!
It was Fire Man, wasn’t it? Star fidgeted. He didn’t really know the DLNs and he wasn’t sure if they would be comfortable with him around (being a former DWN), but it couldn’t hurt to try and be friendly!
“Hi!” He said, sprinting over to Fire Man. “You’re Fire Man, right? I’m Star Man!” He stick his hand out for a handshake, giving off a bright smile.
“How’re you?”
Nothing like getting out of work early, particularly since everyone felt the need to give him a lot of backhanded compliments. Fire Man almost wished he didn't get that promotion, but he would simply deal with it and protest it where he could. Still, it was good just to be away from it.
A café sounded nice right about now. A new one had opened up recently, maybe he’d go see how it was.
Hearing someone calling his name made him stop and turn to the sound of the voice. Was that... Star Man? He’d heard about him being repurposed along with the rest of his line... well, he certainly seemed eager to approach him. He decided to be a little more chipper than he actually felt and put a smile on his face; no point in ruining someone else’s day.
“You got it! A pleasure to properly meet you! And I’m alright, I was just going to get some coffee. How’re you?”

Star was delighted to get a message from Fire, even more so that it was an invite to karaoke night. A bright smile came to his face, a light blush on his cheeks.

“No unfortunately I need to formally learn everything in order to get credit for it and fulfill the prerequisites for more advanced classes. It’s annoying but understandable. As for my other non-robotics classes, one of them is an ethics class and the other one is public speaking. I’m also thinking of taking a political science class next semester as well.”
"Eh, can’t hurt them to make sure ya got it all, I suppose.”
“Ya seem to know what yer doin’, I’m glad to see that. Would ya mind tellin’ me about some of yer classes? Non-robotics ones, I mean.”

“Maybe, if they are and they help me I might be able to help them in someway.”
She gave a shrug it was something worth looking into at least.
“My studies are going well. There’s not much in the classes that I haven’t already learned from Papa and just being around robots so much growing up, but what I do learn is interesting. I’ve also taken some classes outside of robotics to get something different and those are fun.”
"Sounds like that'd be a fair exchange."
"Heh, sounds like ya can't skip forward much. Gives ya a head start, at least! What else have ya been taking? I know robotics hasn't been your only interest."

“Well I do have a few friends, but most of them are just as busy as me and I wouldn’t want to ask them to do more work.”
She was actually finding it easier to make friends now that she was in college. Here she could be more than the girl who got kidnapped by Wily or the silly girl who treated robots like humans. It was a nice change.
"It's up t'ya! Maybe one of them is also participating? Eh, at any rate. How're your studies going?"

Kalinka frowned at how easily Flare brushed off the amount of work that was being put on him. She knew very well how much people tried to work robots, but it wasn’t a conversation she wanted to get into right now. She just wanted to enjoy her time with her friend.
“Well I would like to dance but piano would take less time to prepare and time is something I don’t have a lot of.”
"D'ya have someone else who could help ya with that or is the talent show for one person exclusively?
Flare did worry a little about Kalinka's social circle these days. It's a little hard jumping from one country to another, seeing as all your friends become long-distance and you're far away from family. He made a note to check up on her more often.

Kalinka fell into step with Flare as he walked next to her and the two walked at a companionable speed.“Well I’m glad the work load for you is winding down. Even robots can’t work nonstop forever. University is a lot of work but it’s also a lot of fun. I’m getting to do what I love and meeting a lot of people. I’m also thinking about trying out for the talent show next month but I’m not sure if I should dance or play piano.”
"Heh, true as it might be, they try to milk what they can out of us. At least it's toning down now," Flare said with a sigh of relief. "I kind of like being home more often."
"Can't do both, huh?" Flare asked jokingly. "Well, which one d'ya lean more towards? Or is there some other issue?"

Kalinka’s eyes lit up at seeing her old friend. “Flare! It’s so good to see you. Yeah it has been a while. I’m sorry about that. I keep meaning to visit Light Labs but who knew majoring in robotics would be so time consuming?”
She giggled before smiling back at Flare. “I’m good by the way. How bout you? And the rest of the Light family?”
"Heh, I wouldn't worry yourself with that! We've all been kind of busy ourselves, actually. Higher demand lately, all that. It's only recently that things started calming down for me, I don't know about the rest of us yet."
Flare walked next to her and continued to speak. "How goes university? You already said it was time-consuming."
Kalinka got up from her desk and stretched. She’s been sitting there for hours trying to get her latest project done and her legs were starting cramp. A walk was definitely something she needed. Deciding it wasn’t cold enough for a coat she simply grabbed her purse and left the dorm.
Guess who had been out grocery shopping? Flare. Dr. Light definitely needed to eat, and someone forgot to pick up some of dad's favorites last time. So he took it upon himself to make another trip to get what they missed.
He hadn't expected to run into Kalinka, though the surprise was very much a welcome one.
"Kalinka! It's been ah while, how've ya been?"
"... sure has been a while."

Ice went over to the bookshelf and looked over the books before picking one. One the cover was a picture of a pail white girl surrounded by snow. The title read “The Snow Child.”
“This one.”
“Y’got it!”
Fire grabbed said book and walked over to the couch, gesturing for his brother to follow.
“Y’wanna hear ah few chapters, or should Ah read y’th’ whole thing?”

Ice thought for a bit before glancing at the bookshelf.
“Would you read me a story?”
“Y’got it. Anythin’ in particular, or should Ah pick somethin’ out?” Fire asked as he stood up and turned to the bookshelf.

Ice hugged Fire back and snuggled into him. The cold may have been his element but that didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy warm snuggles with his brothers.
“I was lonely.”
"Heh, figured. Ah'm yere fer ya. 'S there somethin' y'wanted t'ah do?"
