André and Antonio Rebouças, the Rebouças brothers, were two important engineers of Brazil during the imperial period of the country.

André Rebouças (Image above), was also an adviser of Pedro II, the second (and last) emperor of Brazil, André has also contributed to the Paraguayan war, Creating torpedos for his country and was a important voice in abolitionism in Brazil.

His brother, Antonio Rebouças was also important for the reform of the Avenida da Graciosa in the Province (now state) of Paraná.

Even one of the neighborhoods of the capital city of Paraná, Curitiba, a tribute to the brothers, received the name "Rebouças".

Enedina Alves Marques, natural from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, was the first female engineer of the state and first black woman to be a engineer in all of Brazil.

One of the pioneers of engineer of the state and the country, Enedina was also a teacher, helped with the Hydroelectric station Capivari-Cachoeira in the state.

And her story will never be forgotten by those who doesn't let heroes fall into obscurity, Enedina legacy will forever be kept in statues, arts, books, street names and news, but most importantly in her story.
