Macron Sickened by US Trip
(France) - President Macron is being treated in a Paris hospital for a virulent form of Orange Cooties he picked up while in the United States. Unlike regular Cooties, Orange Cooties is resistant to antibiotics, truth, and decency. Doctors believe Macron picked up Orange Cooties by being constantly in physical contact with President Trump while on his state visit.

55 Rose Street's album Misery was recently reviewed by Blues Blast magazine and Rhys Williams had some great things to say about the project. Williams says "...deserves great credit therefore for producing an excellent album of modern blues-rock that sounds like it was produced by a band that had been playing together for years. The pop of âRay of Texas Sunshineâ and âJuke Jointâ sits easily next to the heavy riffing of âThe Blues Is What I Live Withâ, the blues-rock of âEmpty Worldâ, the straight-ahead shuffle of âThunderboltâ and the closing slow blues of âMisery.â"
Williams continues "Donât be misled by the albumâs title. Misery is actually an upbeat, life-affirming collection of music. Metz is a smart songwriter, delicately treading the fine line between blues and rock, with a fair amount of pop and soul thrown in." Read the full review.

The album has also been reviewed by The Bandcamp Diaries, the Beachcomber Destin, and Bman's Blues Report.
The Bandcamp Diaries reviewed 55 Rose Street and called their music "good old fashioned blues that has all that it takes to make an audience scream. Great licks, understated solo work, emotional vocal performances and gritty production with an authentic human feel." In their March 21st issue the Beachcomber Destin says the "Tallahassee-based blues band brings all the southern charm youâd hope for..." with "...a variety of blues-oriented styles and influences..." to "...help keep the style alive and kicking." In his March 28 Blues Report, Bman uses the terms "cool", "smooth", and "nice" so often you'd think he was hitting on the band. :-) Bman is one of the most well known and well read blues reviewers in the U.S. You can purchase our music through any digital channel. If you prefer physical CDs please go to CD Baby and buy them. Free hugs and autographs with every purchase! About Misery: This excellent album covers a wide range of blues, blues-rock, funk-blues, and country blues. The opening blues-based ballad âBlack Iceâ showcases an incredible vocal performance from guest Sarah Mac. The title track at the end features rising star Heather Gillis in a traditional slow blues that highlights her vocals and lap steel guitar, and is reminiscent of the delta birthplace of the blues. In between are blues-rock and country-blues tracks featuring the guitars of Gillis and guest artist former ACM Guitarist of the Year, Nashvilleâs Pat Buchanan. The album also includes shuffle blues and funk blues tracks featuring vocalist and harp genius Chris Balding, and guest artist North Floridaâs Clyde Ramsey providing his firebrand keys and vocals. All backed by the unrelenting rhythm section of Mick Metz and Gold Record artist Rick Brunetti.

A Resignation of Sorts
Iâm a very private, introverted person. I donât like talking about myself and I donât like people feeling sorry for me. 1st world problems after all. But I get asked questions all the time that I canât answer well, and in some strange way I feel like writing here on this page is somehow just between, me, myself, and I. Weird. And delusional I suppose as this then goes âout thereâ.
I still get asked to come to gigs, sit in with folks, or hey, are you in a band?, Iâm looking for a bass player. Or hey, are you performing anywhere?
No, Iâm not. I canât really. The depression is just too much. Iâve stopped playing completely. Itâs been months. Just ten days ago I ended up with the nice folks at the TMH Behavioral Health Center. My music has drained away from me like the color being sucked out of a picture.
Oh, I ainât gonna die I suppose. I donât have cancer or AIDS or something. People all over the world have it soooo much worse so save your empathy for those souls.
Just know that I ainât gonna come to your gigs, I wonât be sitting in, Iâm not gonna jam, and no I wonât be joining your band.
I just canât.
I love ya though.
Mick

Chris Balding: In 1991, Chris went to a local Tallahassee watering hole to catch a gig featuring harmonica master Jerry Portnoy, a veteran of Muddy Watersâ band. âThat show changed my life,â he remembered. Chris has been obsessed with the harmonica ever since. His vocals conjur up images of another one of his heros, James Harman.
Rick Brunetti: Ricky Brunetti grew up loving playing the drums. He was the drummer for Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods when they hit #1 on the Billboard charts with âBilly Donât Be a Heroâ. They went on to score multiple top 10 hits. A few of the top line acts that Rick has played with include Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, and Steve Perry.
Heather Gillis: Heather is a guitarist/vocalist who currently fronts her own band. She is the complete package as a guitar player, lap steel player, songwriter, singer, and arranger. Heather has played alongside and befriended members of the Allman Brothers, Col Bruce Hampton, Matt Schofield, North Mississippi All-Stars, Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Word, The Lee Boys and many others. In addition to performances with her band, Heather is a full-time member of (Allman Brothers drummer) Butch Trucksâ current band, âButch Trucks and the Freight Train Bandâ.
Mick Metz: Mick is a humble North Florida bluesman and bass player with a vision that with the right rhythms and lyrics, and the right team of super talented musicians, he could produce an excellent album. Now itâs up to you to decide if he was right.
