the house had been strange since the texts arrived. everyone else in town, most people in town, could pass them off, see them as some sort of sick prank and delete the history no matter how persistent this masked person seemed to beโฆ but the lancasters? ronan let out a small sigh as he made his way upstairs, mind full of aidenโs face, voice, and habits. the way he teased ronan about liking mayonnaise on his fries. that near permanent purple bruise on ronanโs left shoulder from where aiden smacked it when he laughed too hard. the roses. he shook his head out, as if he could simply shake aiden from his memories, and rounded the corner.
he paused, eyes wide and heart beating at a rapid pace far too quick for someone of his disposition. the door to aidenโs room, previously kept shut by his mother, was open so wide it was almost haunting, ronan himself perhaps beginning to fall victim to the tricks of the horrific prankster. he moved forward with speed, shoving aidenโs door so hard it banged against the wall, heart quelling suddenly when he noticed a familiar figure sat on the floor, surrounded by keepsakes, ronan finally exhaling.
