Hey guys! So I have been working on a PMV for the past month, for an OC/Song combination that reallt hit my heartstrings, and this is the culmination of the past month's work! The song itself is enough to make me cry, and Aros, the character in the story has a backstory that I could go off about for hours.

Anyways, I'm really happy with this artwork, and given that it's all complete now, I felt like it was only fair to share it here on Tumblr! Hope you enjoy.

Ok so Jean was this human character™️ that was caught stealing many valuable items from a mansion. Due to his past of grand theft, he got thrown into this arena, almost a cruel type of “game show”, where many criminals are thrown into, and the only way to get out is to kill the broadcaster, going through many ‘Zones’, risking your life the closer you get. Jean is maybe a too friendly person, wanting to believe that he could be friends with everyone he meets, which does make him a bit more naive. He also has the power to raise his body temperature insanely high, being able to bring steel to its forging temperature.

Laura was a character that Jean meet in the “Slaughterdome”, both intent on killing the broadcaster and getting out. They found each other in the clinic, after Laura’s arm was bitten off by a wolf in Zone 1.

1. Fatal mistake

As Jean and Laura cross into Zone One, they come across a huge wall, filled with several holes leading downward. Jean grabbed his bow and arrow, pointing it down but prepared for anything. “I say we should leave that alone for now, the quicker we get out of this zone, the better.” He paused for a second. “Unless we can gain something from it...”

"...This is the only way to Zone Two. I tried to find a way around. That piece of shit Broadcaster made a goddamned wall." She let out an annoyed huff, before suddenly, a crack of a twig behind them rang out.

Jean quickly turns around and readys his bow and arrow, prepared to shoot. “Who’s there? Hurry up with your response, or else I‘ll shoot!”

Slowly, a giant wolf steps out from behind a tree. It had horns like a deer... and an arrow in its head. Seeing the arrow pointed at itself. It began to snarl and bare its fangs. “Jean—“ Laura begins to say

Jean knew shooting an arrow to it wasn’t going to do a single thing. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to outrun it... maybe calming it down...? “Hey, hold on there buddy, look—“ He puts the arrow away and hides the bow out of its sight. “The arrow’s gone now, nothing’s going to hurt you, okay?” He pleaded, slowly inching in front of Laura.

There was a tense moment of brief silence, till the wolf’s eyes narrows.

“Jean, for fuck’s sake—“

The wolf started to pounce Jean, teeth closing around one of his arms. He begins to scream in pain, as it slowly begins to rip his left arm off. Jean right hand begins to heat up immensely, air shimmering around it, as he tries to push the wolf off of him. A loud sizzle sound is heard, as the wolf starts to yelp, however, only to respond by chomping on his right arm, ripping it clean off as the wolf continues to yelp. Jean is left on the floor, bleeding out, as the wolf slowly starts to approach Laura, who seemed furious, holding her rapier with her one arm. “You fucKING BITCH, I’LL KILL YOU THIS TIME” she screamed, running at the wolf. However, the wolf tackles her, overpowering and pinning her down, knocking her rapier out of her hand, landing right next to Jean. Jean continued to bleed out, as his vision quickly started blurring. The last thing he saw was Laura being pinned by the wolf before the darkness took over his vision. “n... no... please... Laura...”

“Not you... this was too tragic of an end for someone like you...” a voice rung over his head, Jean’s pain suddenly gone

Jean begins to stir, confused with panic in his voice “W-what?? Where am I? L-LAURA—“

“Calm down, please. My name is Xavier, and I can offer you one wish after your death, before you pass on.”

“A... wish?”

“Yes, however understand that I cannot revive you, nor can I directly kill others for you. Other than that, then—“

“I wish for Laura to be safe. I wish she gets the best outcome she can get” He replies, interrupting Xavier.

“...

(ask-a-shiny-jolteon) Quincy@Zen: "Why hello there. Hope you are enjoying your time on the beach today! I notice that you and your Snivy friend are really close with each other. If you don't mind me asking. When did you two first meet each other? I can imagine it's was a experience you guys could never forget."

“Oh, you mean Luz over there? Yeah, we’ve known each other since we were kids.” He replied.

“My parents were great friends with his parents, and a little after we were born, they let us meet each other. Ever since then, we’ve been best friends. He helped me with my illusion problems, and we helped each other when our parents were gone...” Zen looked down for a moment, before looking back up

“But we are still great friends! We don’t live together, but we live near each other and we still hang out almost all the time, like when we’re adventuring or just hanging out.” He chirped happily, looking over at Luz.

“Speaking of which, we should probably get going, looks like the fun’s over and it was a pretty long walk over here. Hope to see ya later!” Zen said as he started to head towards Luz, leaving the beach

Serix scampered up to Luz, leering at the Snivy, "... Why do you have a hat on your head...? Is it to store or hide things, like a mask?" The Salandshrew pointed at his own mask, as if to show an example. "Isn't it worrying to see if it blows away..? Or is it... stuck yo you...? Has anyone tried to take the hat from you..?"

“You guys find my hat interesting, huh?” He looks over at Serix. “No one is going to be able to steal anything from me, trust me. I know all the ins and outs of that. And yeah, I have a few things stored in here, a special pen, gold, a few healing berries, and a couple other things. But there is a story on how I got this thing. It was a few years ago, starting with these 2 kids...

This one Pichu and his brother Togepi were looking for some medicine for their sick mother... and they found this Sandit who said he had the medicine to help their mother.”

“They gave him essentially all the money they had, which wasn’t that much to begin with in the first place.”

“The Sandit quickly took the money, and handed them a purple bottle with white pills. He told the kids that the pills could cure anything, which is why it costed them everything they had.

Unfortunately, he was lying. They were just white sugar pills. This was back when I... just had stopped associating with those type of people,” He said hesitantly, sounding as if he was hiding something. “I was tired with his and the organization’s shit, so while he was distracted, I stunned him with stun spore, took all the money he has stolen and his hat, and turned him in to the police.” Luz shrugged, playing around with his hat. “Ever since then, I’ve only stolen from other thieves, or to people who don’t deserve the money. And yeah, the occasional pickpocket or whatever slips out, but only to people who are rude to me.” He shrugged.

“But it is a cool hat!” He continued. “I think it was made by a Hoopa or something, since the inside is way bigger than what it seems, and it doesn’t slip off t.” Luz added with a smile

Tulip notices Luz and walks over. "Oh hello, it's interesting to meet another Snivy here! I actually hadn't met another Snivy yet, can you believe it?" She notices his yellow stripes. "I love your yellow curls!"

Luz nods at Tulip, greeting her. “It’s nice to see another snivy around as well. I’m surprised you haven’t seen one of us around, since you do seem like an adventurer, or someone who’s part of a rescue group. I’m Luz, by the way.” He looks up into the sky, stretching his tail out. “The sun feels great today...”

-A Zorua trots over, with some crackers on a plate that's balanced on its back- "Hi!! Cracker?"

Luz shakes his head, declining respectfully. “We’re good, but thanks anyways! We ate before we got here, and usually accepting food from strangers doesn’t always end up w—“ He suddenly gets interrupted by a loud crunch, coming from Zen, holding 3 crackers in his mouth.

“Impf hoghkry—“ Zen quickly finishes chewing his crackers and swallows them. “I was hungry, thank you very much!” He exclaimed with a big grin on his face.

Luz sighs, lightly bumping Zein’s head with his vine. “You’re lucky it wasn’t poisoned— they weren’t poisoned, right?” He half-joked, giving the other Zorua a quick glance in the middle of his sentence.

Luz glances up from the invitation, turning to Zen

“Alright, we’re here! Time to relax and talk with new people!” He gives a quick sigh of relief. “At least we weren’t banned from this area...”

“Well I told you not to follow directions from that Slowpoke. Now we’re a bit late...” He looks around. “It doesn’t matter anyways I guess, looks like there are still some people around down the beach over there. Guess we should make our way down there...”

Luz and Zen arrive fashionably late to the beach camp and are open for asks!

After he gives his trust to someone/becomes their friend, he usually always follows them blindly, without questions. Even if they are on the wrong side, he’ll generally always think his friends are in the right.

Luz usually doesn’t stress out too much, since he usually has a cool head. However, if many things stress him out to his breaking point, he becomes extremely isolated and lashes out on everyone. He hides from everyone until he has calmed down, or if one of his friends are in grave danger. If he is found while hiding, he will lash out, and maybe even attack in a few cases. This is more of a mental breakdown rather than being stressed out but enough stress can lead to mental breakdowns so close enough kinds

A reference of Zen that I drew a while back! Now that I have 2 characters and seem to be starting to get into the swing of things, I might start a character page, giving some information about my characters. So far for Zen, all that’s known is

Luz looks back, slowly becoming surrounded with what seemed to be a light brown powder.

“Come closer, please. I insist” He mockingly persuaded, adding a wink.

Taryn thinks quickly, letting out a flurry of ice as the powder freezes and drops to the ground, encased in ice.

“What, you don’t think I’ve seen sleep powder before?~ You’re gonna have to try a lot harder than that, walking leaf~”

She steps forward and suddenly grabs the snivy, tossing him into the hole she dug before he can react.

“Holy Arceus, that was fast.” Luz responds, after being tossed to the ground like a doll. “Next time let me at least say a joke or something before you ram me like th... at...“ Before he could finish his sentence, a portal appears... and what seems to be a Glaceon... and a Sylveon fusion... walks out. She seems to be wearing a scarf, with a sort of amulet, on it.

“Oh great, another ‘eon fusion—“ Luz starts to say before Taryn shoves some dirt into his mouth.

Rime looks down to the snivy, then Taryn. “Taryn, please leave the Snivy alone. C’mon, something really fun and important is happening and I want you to come with me! Quickly now~”, she adds, waiting for her next to the portal.
