OMORI is Earthbound meets Scott Pilgrim meets David Lynch.

The images above were ostensibly cobbled together from an otaku’s pre-suicide fever dream. How else can you explain the most fucked up image of a birthday cake you’ve ever laid eyes upon?

OMORI is the forthcoming narrative game/hallucination simulator/interactive hellscape from California based development team, OMOCAT. With a tendency toward unsettling color palates and capitalization, OMORI looks to tell a very personal story through some frighteningly abstract means.

Grappling with adolescent growing pains seems to have become a penchant for a certain sect of the indie development world with some interesting results.

OMORI has been funded through Kickstarter and is currently trying to reach its third set of stretch goals. OMOCAT is shooting for a May 2015 release date on PC and Mac.
