What’s with the slenderverse fandom and being gross??

Okay this is just going to be me rambling a lot because I saw a video that really set me off so I don’t expect anyone to read this. So I saw a video on TikTok a bit ago, it had Evan (Who in the scene was playing Habit) with the text “whoever gets to bounce on this every night is lucky” or something along those lines. Obviously they’re talking about the actor not the character, which is obviously extremely gross!! People in the comments were also joking about how Evan’s girlfriend (maybe wife I’m not sure) would ‘sue’ them or something.. and yeah, I would to!! I’m just so tired of seeing these types of people continuously disrespect the creator’s boundaries despite most of them stating multiple times “Hey! Don’t be weird!!” Yet people still do shit like this. I hate to pull the “what if this was you” card but seriously, how would you feel if people on the internet talked about you like this, speculating on your size or how you are in bed. I just need people to stop being horny for like two seconds and calm the fuck down, it’s one thing to thirst over the characters but to talk about the actual actors that way?? I really need some people to put their phone down and interact with people outside because holy shit. I know a bunch of other people have talked about this so this isn’t new, and I’ve only been in this fandom since 2023 so it was probably worse during the series’s peaks and stuff, but it still just pisses me off so much. Just please for the love of god be more mindful of what you post PUBLICLY!!! Sorry this isn’t very coherent I just needed somewhere to rant about this.

i actually wanted to post this silly thing for a long time, but your ask really motivated me to finish it!

this is my magnum opus.

since the slenderverse documentary is coming out, theres some things id like to say about it.

for starters, this documentary took 18 MONTHS to make. it probably took alex hera so much time to get ahold of all the actors involved and put together the documentary. we should appreciate alex for all the effort that was put into this, they worked hard to make this happen.

next thing i want to mention is how weird it is people are only really focusing on evan jennings and tim sutton. i understand we are all excited to see them since they kinda backed away from the internet a bit, but are you guys forgetting WHY they did? they want to live normal lives and be treated like normal people, so the fact some of you are literally editing the short clips we got of them from the literal TRAILOR is genuinely so weird. they are not celebrities. its a documentary, not an actual slenderverse series. they are just a couple of dudes being dudes.

we should appreciate ALL the actors involved, even if the series they are from isnt one you PERSONALLY favor or havent watched yet. the slenderverse is a community, so many creative people worked together to give us the media we all love and enjoy today. every series has its own unique aspect to it and i absolutely love that. they all took the idea of slenderman and turned it into something way beyond just him.

now, last thing id like to mention involves one specific actor in particular, and thats jeffery koval. as much as we love everymanhybrid and the character he played, we cannot look past the fact he is an abuser. him being in the documentary is super cool! we get to hear his side of things! but lets not forget what he did. im aware hes trying to get better and be a better person, which is super great and all, but we still cant just forgive him. it is not our apology to accept. PLEASE remember that.

A bit of a rant

okay so I've recently got back into Slenderverse and honestly? as much as I love the videos and lore, I loathe the fandom with every fiber of my existence

on one end, you got people who will attack you for liking HABIT or any other different character who's the true definition of a fictional villain, accusing people of condoning a character's actions just by simply enjoying them as a fictional character.

and on the other you have the hardcore canon purists that bully others for writing new AUs/Headcanons/Fluff and what have you, calling it cringe and weird because someone finds comfort in said character, regardless if they're a villain or not. it's not that serious, if you don't like what someone writes, simply ignore or block, it ain't that hard

then you have the ones who condone certain people behind the shows and pretend they didn't do anything wrong (You know who I'm talking about.) and even attack those who disagree, some who even send weird creepy asks to different HABIT blogs Fictive/DID or Roleplay type and weirding people out (Looking at you, Necro anon)

I just don't understand, Slenderverse is a FICTIONAL universe and these are characters, HABIT is fictional, every other character is fictional, fiction is supposed to be enjoyed and not taken seriously, if you don't like a character that's fine, but don't be an asshole to people who enjoy the character. because in the end we're all nerds enjoying a good spooky horror series.

also P.S. , Leave the actors tf alone, they are trying to live normal lives after the series ended, being a weirdo towards them is really gross
