Okay.. you may already know this about me. But I am completely obsessed with space. I love learning about our universe and my life basically revolves around all things space related. I work at NASA as a branch support team member to 5 different chiefs who run different projects in the Engineering division. Everything from space suits to space toilets. Not only do I spend more than 40 hours of my life there a week, but my dad is an astronaut currently living onboard the international space station.

Anyways, this is something one of the engineers brought up to me in a meeting today and I think it's totally AWESOME. The general public gets to vote on the next Space Suit's look. I am currently drooling over the buzz light year inspired attire personally. Go check it out and vote!!

Clean Closet Challenge

It's finally happening.. Spring is here!

Warm weather is on its way (hopefully) and there's nothing better than sunshine to be a perfect motivator to start clearing out those winter clothes. If you're anything like me, your closet is overloaded with clothes you barely wear. Join me this weekend in beginning our "Clean Closet Challenge" by starting to pack away bulky coats and sweaters. Check out these few tips I've put together to help you get started.

If you haven't worn it in two winters, donate, sell or trash it. It's time to get real and if that sweater hasn't left its hanger in over a year, you won't miss it as much as you think.

The weather in Houston is all over the place. Be prepared by keeping a few key pieces in your closet during warm months like scarves and sweaters or a light jacket. Choose items that will work with multiple outfits, such as a basic black sweater or a beige scarf.

Pack up your bulky jackets and winter boots. There's no need for them anymore! Pick up a large storage container from WalMart or Target and stash it in your attic or spare closet. Afraid you'll need something for an upcoming trip? Write out the containers contents and put the paper inside a clear sheet protecter, then tape to the front of the container so you can easily see if what's inside is what you need!

Following these tips will not only free up space in your closet, but space in your brain too! A de-cluttered space, is a de-cluttered brain. And we could all use a little stress relief.
