This started out as a sticker design, but a whole poster grew out of it. I used to play with 60s psychedelic poster style way back in art school, I want to explore it again. gouache on paper.

I have new logo! I was planning to make new one for ages, and finally had motivation to do it (convention I'm vending on on july needed a logo from all vendors for promotion purposes). I have it also in plain version, without background, but that;s the full version. I'm really pleased with the lettering, I think I might use something similar in one project I have planned. This also means I need new cards, but I think I'm gonna order myself a custom stamp, since I'm really fond of my way of making cards with hand torned pieces of ecoprinted paper
16, 29 and 30!
thank you!
Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing I can do really good classic style pencil drawings, but I really don't like doint if, I much prefer working with colour, and if I choose monochromatic medium, I'd rather do more stylized things in pen, ink or fineliner
Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically Honestly, I tend to love a medium if it inspires me. But I think alcohol markers would fit - I love them in theory, I even have some, but like. I think I only ever used them twice in artm and only as a colour accent in ink drawings. I think they're just not a good fit for my style.
What piece of yours do you think is underrated afghjk it's so hard to pick. But I think any of my newer works: I used to have a large..ish following back in dA days and so many of my old works are very popular and still circulate, but the hellscape that is people's engagement with art in last years made it really hard to get stuff in front of more people. I think I would like to see Desert whisperer and Forest guardian getting more love
Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game
Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
(I wrote this while sick out of my mind last year and it's been collecting dust in my drafts, I might as well let it run free) 1. Art programs you have but don't use
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
3. What ideas come from when you were little
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
9. What are your file name conventions
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
12. Easiest part of body to draw
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
14. Any favorite motifs
15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what
18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken
19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways
22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any
23. Do you use different layer modes
24. Do your references include stock images
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with
28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
so tumblr decided to reblog all my fandom shit that should be on my main here instead, sorry for the confusion. but hey, since some of you liked these posts before i tidied things up, you're welcome to follow my main blog gendertrickery, while I'm slowly getting back into making art properly mode after 2025 trhew me off balance like nothing did since 2003, ugh
I've got some watercolour paper samples and so far I really like hahnemuhle's britannia (rough and cold pressed samples here). I also like how I let this little island on second picture stay so abstract and undefined. Watercolour used here are Roman Szmal and Rosa Gallery.
inspired by one of my all time favourite book, "winter rose" by Patricia McKillip. it's not a specific scene, but more trying to capture the vibe. watercolour on paper
I refuse to give in to despair so, inspired by my old works, I made a study based on a photo I took two weeks ago in my neighbourhood

more oldies, this time two quick studies of my grandparents garden. both were painted on some random boards I dug up in my grandpa's shed and one promptly broke in half during transport. But I like them anyway, and I think I should really paint outside more.
some old flowers. I should make things like this again
my brother and me did some digging in his (previously our parents') garage and unearthed some of my old oil paintings that we knew are there and there was quite a few that I completely forgot ever existed, it was a wild ride. also some of them are pretty damn good? I'm gonna post some on cara tomorrow after I edit the photos
ok so I'm... weird when it comes to showing old works because sometimes when people like it, my brain start spiralling about my new art being bad, but I try to combat it, and some of these oldies are really nice so the're incoming. just don't forget about my new works ok
Artists are coming back to tumblr. Nature is healing.
You can do your part and plant trees (reblog art) to help nature heal.
Don’t support invasive species (art thieves/reposters) though. Only native plants (the original creators).
Lots of artists are reblogging this with their art blog! Go check them out!
illustration for Mlem! zine, watercolour and gouache.
I'm not leaving tumblr, but came say hi on cara!
and drop your url if you're there, I need more artists to follow
I'm debating if I should maybe start posting some random text posts here (and self reblog more, because I tend to reblog my art from here to my main blog), to maaaybe make people realize that I'm a regular tumblr type being they can interact with, and part of me is like noo this blog was supposed to be just my art so it's easy for people to browse, but. are there any people here. are they here. literally I only get activity here when I reblog things to my main or after I give link to group of people. this is discouraging af.
anyway this is me trying to make my art be seen by people, and this can only be achieved if it's gonna be reblogged
I found a group to play STA with, and that's lieutenant Nashirah Sol, science officer. they knit in their free time.
