so yeah, did a little background warm up as well as a little cartoon style practice. I was thinking’ of simplifying my style a bit to make characters seem more…different? more diverse? And yeah so I ended up drawing the Bakusquad extended (or at least thats what I’m callin’ it) having a lil’ sleepover!

p.s I didn’t put Shinsou due to the fact that I feel like he hangs between Both the Baku and the deck squad.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this gif, and what these particular gestures might mean, and it looks like the consensus among fans is that Mic is asking for a high-five, and Aizawa is reminding him that his hands are in giant flipping casts and thus, a high-five is impossible. A real tragedy.

BUT LISTEN

We’ve all overlooked what that means. THAT MEANS that these guys high-five all the goddamn time, and have for the past FIFTEEN YEARS. So often that Mic has come to expect it, and Aizawa feels the need to explain why it won’t be happening. Picture it:

They capture a villain together? High-five!

School gets cancelled and they get to stay home and play video games all day like teenagers? Slap it!

Some hero they both hate got flung into an open manhole and had to be hosed down in the street by the fire department? Don’t leave me hangin’!

These two high-five like huge dorks all the time and I think that’s beautiful.
