Oh my gosh Bluestreak that fort is awesome!

[The movie goes through its opening credits and first few minutes of the feature film. She is one quarter finished with her cube.]

I’m glad both you and Bluestreak could join us, the more the merrier especially when it comes to high-grade and movies.

[The main character, Jake the cat, appears on screen]

Eeee he’s so cute. I want to get more pets for the base. Can we get a capybara too?

[Deathsaurus looks over at the fort Bluestreak has built and is both amused and impressed by it. It looks like something Crasher would do in her free time.]

[He turns back to the movie, and takes another swallow of his high grade.]

What’s a capybara?

[Bluestreak grabs his cube and takes a couple of sips of hi grade while the movie begins. As cute as the main character is though, his attention seems to be divided on the movie and the equally as cute couple sitting on the nest of blankets. He wonders what Skyfire thinks of the two. He’s sure that his fellow Autobot must think Moonracer and Colonel Deathsaurus are ridiculously adorable together. He nods to himself a little at the thought before drinking a bigger gulp of his hi grade. He loves the taste but he’s a lightweight with the stuff really. It only takes him about 2, sometimes 3 cubes and he’s out. He doesn’t want to miss anything though so he decides to pace himself tonight]

I’m actually really surprised that we’ve been allowed to get pets here on the Ark. I figured Ratchet or Prowl if he was here would be completely against that. Not because I think they dislike cute animals or anything. Well, maybe Ratchet does but I think Prowl wouldn’t mind a well behaved dog or cat. I know Smokey is really fond of fat cats. I actually really like tigers but I’m sure that’d be one of the last things Prowl would let me get. I’m sure I could train it well though but I guess when it comes down to it, it would be a big safety hazard. Especially since we have human friends that visit it. Although ever since the tears have appeared, it’s been a while since I’ve seen or heard anything about Spike, Carly, or Tracks’ friend Raoul. I hope they’re okay and didn’t get caught in one of those tears. And if they did, I hope they’re somewhere safe for the time being. It never really crossed my processor that humans could get trapped in one of those tears but I guess the dimensional tear wouldn’t be able to just only trap bots.

[He starts to realize that he’s been talking through the movie and instantly feels bad for rambling through it. He’ll just try to get to the point and then focus on the movie]

Oh, but sorry didn’t mean to ramble like that. I’m sure if you talked to Miss Elita about it, she’d allow you to get one. I’m not too entirely sure what a capybara is though. Can’t say I know all the animals like Hound does. But hey if we get one of those, I bet Hound will be able to help you take care of it. He’ll know everything you have to do for it. I know if I’m allowed to get a pet, I’ll get an alpaca. They’re pretty low maintenance animals from what I’ve read and I’m sure that would be approved over a tiger.

[Skyfire is somewhat bemused by the odd movie, but the cute couple he does find adorable. It probably won't be long before he "boats" them too.]

Yes, it seems anyone and anything may pass through the tears at any given moment, even a tiger.

[As Bluestreak rambles, Skyfire imagines what would happen if a tiger really did fall through a portal into the base right now. Bluestreak and Moonracer would probably go chasing after it, while the Colonel would probably be both confused and, presuming he's never been to Earth in his dimension, curious.]

I believe a capybara is a large rodent creature, but yes, Hound would probably know more about them.

[He then imagines a capybara or an alpaca falling through a portal. The others must be rubbing off on him, because he's thinking very silly things now apparently, but he doesn't mind.]

Second date~

Then I will choose the first video. This is one of my favorites, it’s called The Cat From Outer Space.

[She puts the video tape into the TV and it begins to play. She pours herself a cube of high-grade and sits back down next to Deathsaurus. She looks over to see Bluestreak hard at work building some structure out of her pillows]

Are you having some success there, Bluestreak? I can’t wait to see the finished product. Skyfire, come have a seat with us.

I am. As far as I can tell, it is mostly some sort of “inverse” if you will of this one. Your Ark is the same in layout to the Ark on my planet, the one my enemies use.

[He doesn’t add that the Ark of his universe includes a smelter, among other things.]

I’d be glad to tell you about it sometime. In fact, Moonracer and Bluestreak have both been there on different occasions.

[He leaves out the reasons for Bluestreak’s visit, assuming his fellow Autobot has an idea. Besides, the night was about fun, not about dragging up memories that could be painful for some.]

[He notices Bluestreak messing with Moonracer’s pillows, building some sort of structure, and he smirks. He leans close to her.] I hope you don’t mind us messing with your bedding.

[He takes another swallow of his Energon and turns back to the tv. The movie was starting, some film he had never heard of. It was no shock to him; he rarely got to watch films, usually so busy with work.]

[It takes him a moment but after finally getting the bottom pillows forming the side of his fort to properly stand up, his pillow fort is done! Well, almost. The gunner reaches into his sub space for a data pad and begins to type out in a very large font and size: “Fort Blue”. Peaking out from his fort, he reaches his left hand down to set the data pad down in front of the structure as a sign. Once he moves his hand back in, he lays down so that only his helm is peaking out from the opening of the fort. He’s very happy with his work.]

Haha, yea, I’m done now, Moonracer. And thanks for letting me use your pillows. Oh and for the hi grade and for letting us hang out in your quarters. This is so awesome.

[His optics focus in on the movie they’re watching. He’s never seen this movie before so of course he’s pretty excited to see what it’s all about. And being in good company adds to his excitement]

[Having spent a relatively short time living among humans compared to his fellow Autobots, Skyfire isn't too familiar with their cinema. For the most part, he watches documentaries (he is quite fond of that Carl Sagan fellow in particular), but once in a while, a movie catches his attention. The last one he saw was an odd little science fiction film by the title of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The movie Moonracer picked out, The Cat From Outer Space, also sounds like a science fiction film. Skyfire wonders how similar it'll be to 2001.]

I see, how fascinating.

[He replies to Deathsaurus, sensing that the other mech doesn't want to discuss anything potentially unpleasant and sharing the sentiment himself. He finds some room for himself on the other side of Bluestreak's fort and sits down beside it, moving carefully so as to not knock it over.

He decides to pass on the high-grade; he's not opposed to it, but he never could get used to the flavor and it takes a lot for a large mech like him to start feeling the effects so it'd be a waste.]

Thank you for inviting me as well.

[He had been worried, early on, that the Autobots would be... hesitant to accept him after his initial alliance with the Decepticons, but most everyone has been kind to him. He smiles a little to himself and then turns his attention to the movie.]

Second date~

[Moonracer looks up after digging under her berth to find a well-made nest with Deathsaurus in the middle of it. She isn’t quite sure what to make of it but it looks comfortable so she doesn’t question it.]

Sure!

[She sits down by the nest, making sure she doesn’t ruin it. Then Bluestreak and Skyfire arrive with movies and games.]

Welcome back Bluestreak! Hi Skyfire, I’m glad you could join us! I hope you enjoy cute animal movies too. Both of you come in and make yourselves comfortable.

[She points to the high-grade on her desk along with some of the movies she dug out from under her berth.]

So, what does everyone want to do first? The tv is ready to go.

[he looks up to see Bluestreak return with a strange white mech. He nods in return at the greeting.]

A pleasure. I am. My name is Deathsaurus.

[Moonracer settles in beside him in the nest, and he smiles. He then takes a swallow of his high grade. While it tastes different from the high grade back home, it’s not awful. Merely slightly flat.]

I’m fine with a movie, but I’ll leave the decisions to you three.

[He steps further inside and makes his way over to the movies Moonracer has laid out. He takes the movies in his hands and spreads them out with the femme’s so that all four have a good idea of what their choices are. He has to stop himself from saying “aww” at how cute and cozy the couple look. He directs his attention over to the hi grade on the desk]

Good job, Moonracer! I had a feeling you might have had a secret stash stored somewhere. [He chuckles some at the thought] And I’m not really picky with what we do or watch first. I’m just glad to be hanging out with good friends. It’s up to you and Skyfire what we do first.

[Leaving the decision to the others, the gunner walks over to the hi grade to pour himself a cube. Taking a small sip, he looks around the room as he tries to figure out where he wants to sit. He thinks Deathsaurus’s nest is a really neat idea. He wouldn’t be able to make one if there were more blankets though and he’s not going to get in the middle of the couple. Looking over towards Moonracer’s berth, he notices her numerous pillows. Well, he’s always been great with building pillow forts! With that, he sets his cube down and grabs the pillows off of Moonracer’s berth and begins to work]

[Skyfire prefers really boring documentaries, but he's not opposed to changing it up and watching some... cute animal movies...? He's not really sure what a cute animal movie entails, but it sounds like it could be educational. It also sounds like he's been invited to join them.]

The pleasure's all mine. So, you're from another universe? You'll have to tell me more about it sometime.

[He smiles at Moonracer and Deathsaurus, thinking how nice it is to see a loving couple after all of the war and hardship.]

Oh, I'm fine with anything. I was actually planning on spending all night in the library again...

Second date~

[Moonracer goes off to find the hidden high-grade. She finds the lose panels, looks around to make sure no one else is there, then takes them off to grab the energon. She places the panels back and makes sure nothing looks suspicious. She runs back to her quarters and enters to place the energon on her desk.]

Sorry we don’t have any of the energon from your universe, Deathsaurus. I found another cute movie called The Cat From Outer Space. I think everyone will enjoy it!

[She digs underneath her berth to pull out a few cute animal movies. She also brings out a couple of Benji movies]

I hope Bluestreak isn’t having too much trouble finding what he needs.

[Deathsaurus wonders why she feels she has to hide the high grade she has, but he doesn’t question her. Instead he thanks her when she returns.]

It’s no problem. You drank the Energon from my universe, after all. I hope it didn’t taste too odd to you.

[He looks at the pink Energon. It was odd seeing it in that color, but it was no big deal. While she looks around, he notices blankets under her berth and reaches for them. After all, she offered. He takes them out, seeing more than one. They are quite large and soft, and he lays one out on the floor. He looks at it, and pulls the sides in, fluffing it up and giving it a more circular shape. He then takes the next blanket, and puts it on top of that one, repeating the process, making it look fuller. The last one is smaller and the softest, so he puts it in the middle, for sitting on. He then looks at it, and moves to sit down in the center. Once he does so, he reaches towards the ends, and pulls them in, fluffing them up around him. He settles in contently and for a moment forgets where he is and considers transforming to his dragon mode. Eventually he remembers how hard it would be to drink Energon with that particular alt modes arms, and he decides against it.]

[He reaches for the cube of high grade Energon Moonracer gave him and holds it. He looks up at her.]

Want to sit down?

[Bluestreak continues to happily lead the way to Moonracer’s quarters. He chuckles some when Skyfire says he seem more energetic than usual. It’s true that he’s excited about spending time with friends. As he had stated earlier, it’s not often he or his friends have the time to really hang out with one another. Anytime they can, it’s always something to be glad about. But when it comes down to it, he’s more excited about the fact that things are going quite smoothly between Moonracer and the Colonel. ]

Yep! We’re watching movies and possibly drinking hi grade tonight. Me, Moonracer, and Colonel Deathsaurus that is [He takes a left and his doorwings flutter more when he sees Moonracer’s room some steps away]

Oh, hey you’ve never met the Colonel, have you? He’s from that mirror ‘verse that we had that mission to. I wonder if there’s a Skyfire in that ‘verse. I bet that mech is all sorts of nasty. I mean the Starscream there was super nice. He was more like you than he was the Starscream here.

[Once they reach the femme’s quarters, he thinks of knocking but figures Moonracer and Deathsaurus are expecting him to be back here anyways. He enters her quarters; not even thinking to take the movies back from Skyfire or that the other mech might actually have things to do right now]

I got the movies! And I ran into Skyfire on my way here too.

That mission happened while I was gone, but I read some of the reports on it. This "mirror" universe sounds very... unusual.

[The thought of an "evil" version of himself is a bit disconcerting, but the thought of a "nice" Starscream is even stranger. And, wait, what did Bluestreak say this colonel's name was? Death Czarus?

He ponders the various implications of such a universe and, before he knows it, they've arrived at Moonracer's quarters. He hesitantly steps inside, standing just in front of the doorway and holding the movies.

Inside he sees Moonracer and a strange mech who... seems to have created a makeshift nest out of some blankets.]

Hello, Moonracer. And... you must be the colonel I heard about. I'm Skyfire. [He gives the other mech a little nod in greeting.]

[When Moonracer takes Deathsaurus’s hand and begins to lead the mech to her room, he can’t help but smile at the sight. Primus, what a cute couple. He nods to himself at the thought before realizing that he’s still standing by the Ark’s entrance. Taking one last look at the happy couple about to disappear out of sight, he quickly makes his way back to his quarters.]

[Upon entering his messy room, he first steps over to his game console and grabs his various video games. He knows the plan right now is to just watch a bunch of movies but on the off chance they do want to do something else, he wants to be ready. Putting his games away in his sub space, he grabs the movies he mentioned along with their sequels and anything else that looks like it could be entertaining. He feels bad about leaving his room a mess though so he does the quickest and easiest solution he can think of. He pushes as much of his junk as he can under his berth. That problem solved, he leaves his room with the stack of movies. He doesn’t get too far when he bumps into Skyfire and almost drops the movies.]

SKYFIRE! Hey mech, how you doing? You mind helping me out here? [He gives the bigger mech half of the movies in his hands and signals him to follow him. He happily talks as he leads the way to Moonracer’s quarters]

Thanks a bunch, Skyfire! I know what you’re thinking. “Now Blue,why didn’t you just put these in your sub space?” Well, I would have but I was so excited about this sleepover that I didn’t even think about it to be honest. I mean I remembered to put my video games in there but I was just so ready to go. It just didn’t cross my processor. But really it’s not every day I get to have fun like this.

[Skyfire had been on his way to the data archives. He had spent most of the time since his return in the lab, studying the tears, but has yet to make any significant progress in his research. Maybe consulting Starscream about it will end up being a good idea after all.

Wondering if he's still missing some crucial information, he had planned on spending the rest of the night reading. Instead, he finds himself holding a stack of movies and listening to a very excited Bluestreak.]

Er... no problem, Bluestreak. You seem more energetic than usual today. Are you having a movie marathon with a couple other bots?

[The movies aren't much trouble for a large mech like him to carry, so Skyfire doesn't bother storing them in his subspace. He looks at the cover of the top movie in the stack.]

The Fifth Element? That looks... interesting.
