It took me a little a while cause I’ve been so busy but I swore I would get one of these done by the end of the week. Rated Teen for obvious kiss and teenage hormones related reasons. 

12. a hoarse whisper “kiss me” 

Bokuto has this weird new habit lately. Or rather, its a trend, because it’s not like he’s doing it everywhere.

At first Kuroo thought it was just a regular bout of teenage hormones. Which…wouldn’t be too weird. He’s enough of a chemistry nerd to know what it is. Dopamine, phenylethylamine, adrenaline and an extra dose of testosterone. It happens. He knows this. Being a teenage boy himself and all.

It happens once and he doesn’t think twice about it. Happens a second time and he just goes with it. But the third time, thats when he starts to notice it.

It only ever happens right after matches too. Not Bokuto’s. But Kuroo’s own. Whether it’s practice matches, official matches, or even matches against Fukurodani itself - that’s when it occurs.

And it’s always the same thing. The match ends. Nekoma thanks the audience, shakes the other team’s hand and then they’re walking off the court. Pushing the volleyball cart. Chatting with each other. Just like how it always goes.

But then, of course. There is Bokuto. Standing in the hallway that goes back into the main building, right between the lockers and the gymnasium. He comes to his games when he can. For mutual support and all that and Kuroo appreciates it. A lot more than he lets on. But this is also when that little trend shows up and well…

2nd Gen Captains Headcanons

these are some headcanons i have for the next batch of captains (specifically Yahaba, Ennoshita, Shirabu, Futakuchi, Akaashi, Terushima, and Yamamoto) and how they are all buds. Leggo

Yahabu and Shirabu are actually really good friends. they decided not to be complete rivals like Ushi and Oikawa

Enno learned from the best (Suga) and learned everyone’s secrets and weaknesses before exposing his true evil self

they all live in fear of the day he finally loses his mind and destroys them all with the black mail he has

Terushim aka Captain Bisexual- is so goddamn gay for Akaashi. I mean, look at him he’s so pRETyyy!

Setter Skwad going on group shopping trips and looking fly as fuck

(Akaashi had to pick out Shirabu’s clothes for him so he didn’t ruin their aesthetic with his fucking hawaiin print shirt)

Teru and Yama took Enno out on a ‘the not setter skwad’ trip and Enno just spent an hour screaming into the void to prepare

Futakuchi is such a bitch and they have a board that counts how many days without sarcastic remark

it has never passed 3

But honestly everyone else loves him and the minute someone not in their squad insults him or threatens him they form up and prepare for battle

Akaashi and Yamamoto are the best of friends and they hang at each other’s houses a lot with Kenma and have sleepovers

Yahaba is the saltiest person on the planet but he is also the best person to go to for advice

Ennoshita is just waiting for death to claim him honestly

Akaashi and Enno go out together once a month and calmly drink shit talk their teammates and the other captains

Everyone teases Yahaba about his crush on Kyoutani

Yamamoto is best friends with Tanaka and he keeps trying to drop hints that the other boy should ask Ennoshita out

Shirabu is not actually aware of his crush on Semi

the others dont’ tell him because its adorable

Futakuchi is too bitter for love but he enjoys making fun of Aone and Hinata’s relationsip

Yamamoto is cool right now. HE’s focusing on him and his team.

Enno has panic attacks sometimes and when he does its always Yahaba that calms him down best

I love them all so much and i want the manga to continue so i can see them be captains and grow up and progress even more as characters.

And thats all the creativity i have time for tonight.

I’m so sick of oikawa being portrayed as an ass and people being like “oh he’s really interesting even with his awful personality XDDDD” like stop. He’s messed up no more than literally every average teenager. He was bitter towards kageyama unfairly due to personal issues. People blow that moment wayyy out of proportion. And why does everyone just excuse kageyama for hurting his teammates so badly to the point where they’re still surprised about getting praise for their playing (kunimi being validated by oikawa about his playing style of reserving his energy)??? I mean I love kageyama, but if people are going to hold him to the same standard as oikawa I can’t like him at all honestly. Oikawa is literally always nice to his fan girls, stopping to take pictures with them and never making fun of them or laughing or mimicking like most high school guys are. He DOESNT manipulate or use Iwaizumi or anyone else on his team like he is often portrayed to. Yes, he’s a dick about ushiwaka, but honestly why are people so freaked out about his anger. They’re ALL angry at rival teams. Yes, it’s unfair, but it’s no different from literally anyone else. And to be fair, ushiwaka does push him, even if not intentionally. I know that oikawa makes mistakes, but I’m sick of him being portrayed as a ‘bad person but interesting as a character’ or a ‘sort of bad sort of good person’. He jokes around and is supportive. He overworked himself and yes, makes others worry, but if his actions that are HIS business make others worry, that is HIS problem not theirs. It’s his life. And honestly his overworking himself is also blown way out of proportion by the fandom. Volleyball doesn’t make or break him, it matters a lot to him and he loves it, but it’s not even cannon that his knee injury is that serious. He’s not so fragile hell break into bits of glass that’s sharp and hurts others either. He is bendable, but he can always keep standing!! And Iwaizumi depends just as much on him as he does on Iwaizumi. All this manipulative bullshit is fannon. He’s no more ‘manipulative’ than literally everybody is in those tiny ways. He fucked up, but so does literally everyone else, and as the deepest character in the manga and the most multifaceted of course people are going to hate him. Because he doesn’t fit into what people are comfortable with. Or maybe because people think it’s unfair he gets attention I don’t even know. I’m just so sick of him being treated as a stupid boring prop with a horrible personality. Don’t you realize that when iwa calls him that ITS A JOKE?! Like when close friends make fun of eachother like. Ever realize that. And the violence between them is cartoonized bc it’s a fucking cartoon like in any animation you’ll see violence being extreme for comedy. Put it in a real life setting and it just wouldn’t make sense that’s how anime and manga WORK. Iwaizumi isn’t actually hurt or manipulated by oikawa. Pissed the fuck off sometimes? Yes. But there’s no power imbalance. I’m so sick of this shit maybe it’s because I relate to oikawa and all the fake shit people bring up against him are what people bring up against me, and have used as an excuse to fuck me over, when I really am trying and so is he and we both make people HAPPY I don’t care what people say. In cannon, he makes lots of other people laugh, even at his expense. I’m just sick of this shit I feel like I’m going to cry. It’s just really hurtful to see people hate on him because he’s misunderstood. I feel like shit sorry about the rant
