Secretary (2002) edit to "Kinky Love" by Pale Saints
This came to me in a (day)dream. Obviously this combo is known, but I really wanted to do my own spin on it. Love the song, love the film, hope this edit is enjoyable.

just watched Elephant and Zero Day back to back and here are my reviews (probably not the best but whatever):
My review of Elephant (2003):
I feel a bit conflicted. While on the one hand I really enjoyed this way of storytelling through small sections of different people’s life and also just the way this was filmed. On the other hand it feels a bit exploitative, as if these people were only made human to be killed in the end, so that we the viewer feel more. It’s also extremely clear that Gus van Sant was heavily inspired by Columbine, I would even go as far as saying he almost replicated the plan, with slight alterations, such as them beginning in the library, rather than ending and this also being bloodier and deadlier.
Through the way this story was told, the viewer experiences a feeling of impending doom, since we, besides the perpetrators, are the only ones that know what is soon bound to happen. The ending did feel a bit too violent for my liking, especially considering the themes dealt with here. In my opinion, not even showing what happened during the final incident might have made a bigger impact.
My review of Zero Day (2002):
Both Ben Coccio and Gus van Sant used Columbine as an inspiration, but in very different ways. While Elephant focuses much more on the who and how, Zero Day asked the age old question of why? The two films are also very obviously done pretty differently, this being found footage and all. Ultimately I would say I like this approach more compared to Elephant. Additionally I also found the acting to be better in Zero Day. But like in Elephant the influence of Columbine in this movie is also very apparent.

Secretary (2002) edit to "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner
finally finished the holy trinity: the father (twilight), the son (fifty shades of grey) and the holy spirit (secretary)
Im re-reading Dorian Grey right now and I can’t think of Dorian as anyone but this dude.
like, Endless Love 1981 was DOGSHIT BAD, but James Spader was so pretty for no reason.
when i pick gay son and thot daughter because i don’t discriminate and now dee reynolds is bringing home her 13th girlfriend/boyfriend home before asking me how much money can i give her for her 3rd wedding and mac mcdonald is crying in his room asking me about boy problems and my love for christ and i begin to lose hope
james spader is so fine im genuinely crying
