La Boqueria, el mercado central de Barcelona. Este mercado se ubica en La Rambla, la calle más famosa de toda la ciudad. Había muchísimas personas allí esa día... mercados así siempre son experienceas fantasticas.

The Boqueria, the central market in Barcelona. This market is located on La Rambla, the most famous street in all the city. There were a lot of people there that day which made for quite a great experience.

Park Güell en Barcelona. Fui aquí antes con mi familia, pero no vimos esta parte... me alegró encontrarlo.

The Cathedral of Seville, the third biggest in the world. It's a very impressive place, constructed in the 16th century. It was really interesting, but after a 2 hour tour through the whole cathedral, I wasn't too interested...

A few photos of sites around Cádiz, its streets, its cathedrals, its oceans. It's a beautiful city and I'm glad to call it my European home.

I've already been in Cádiz a few days, but I haven't had a chance to organize my photos until now. I've taken a few new ones here, but I'm gonna wait until I've gotten a few more before posting them. I'll be going to Seville and Córdoba this weekend, so I'll have a lot more to post very soon.

Ya he pasado algunos días en Cádiz, pero no he tenido la oportunidad de organizar mis fotos hasta ahora. Ya he sacado algunas fotos nuevos aquí, pero voy a esperar un poquito hasta que tenga una selección más variada por poner más. Voy a Sevilla y Córdoba este fin, y entonces tendré más para postear pronto.

Here's a photo I snapped of a painting in the Reina Sofía. I don't remember what it's called, but it struck me as quite beautiful when I saw it. If anyone knows, tell me!

There's a ton of sculptures in the streets of Madrid of all sorts. Each depicts something different, but a popular theme seems to be men on horses, whether it be a king or Don Quixote. My favorite is the crying angel... don't blink!

A few examples of the architecture of Madrid. There's a variety of buildings in the city: traditional ones, older ones, modern ones and more classic ones. One of these is a painting... do you know which?

A few pictures of the Royal Palace of Madrid, now only used as a site for official ceremonies. It's beautifully decorated inside, but they didn't let us take pictures... but the building itself is impressive, no?

A few of the street performers in the streets of Madrid. There's all kinds of performers in the streets: musicians, singers, and others who show off their interesting talents. There are a few that will sit for hours and hours unmoving... and some in very strange costumes!

Una selección de artistas de la calle en Madrid. Hay toda variedad de artistas en las calles: músicos, cantadores, y otros que muestran sus talentos interesantes. Hay algunos que se sienten inmóviles por horas y horas... ¡y hay algunos disfrazados de forma rara!

Two shots of the interesting people of Madrid. The woman in the photo on the left was wearing a huge hat decorated with fake fruits in nearly every color, walking through the plaza. There were many people dressed like this, as today was the final day of a traditional festival.

The other is of a man - one of many - dressed in a Spiderman costume (and didn't quite fit). He was very friendly, like the rest of the performers in the plaza. There was Mickey, Minnie, Spongebob, an Invisible Man and a person making the biggest bubbles I had ever seen!

Dos fotos de la gente interesante de Madrid. La mujer en la izquierda estaba llevando una gorra grande decorada con frutas falsas de casi todos colores, caminado por la plaza. Había muchísima gente vestida así hoy a causo de un gran celebración tradicional que pasaba.

La otra es de un hombre - uno de muchos - vestido en un disfraz de Spiderman (y no cabe bien). Él fue muy genial, como el resto de la gente que performaban por la plaza. Estaba Mickey, Minnie, Spongebob, un Hombre Invisible, y alguien que hacía las burbujas más grandes del mundo.

A few shots of La Plaza Mayor, one of the central plazas in Madrid. Even early in the morning, the Plaza is filled with people and street performers dressed in Disney, Nickelodeon and Superhero costumes. A giant statue of King Philip III stands in the center of the plaza. The plaza is surrounded by a beautiful building filled with picturesque (and expensive) European apartments.

Interesting to note: on the two clock towers on the building surround the plaza, one holds a clock and the other holds some sort of humidity measurement device. It reads "Much Rain, Rain, Variable, Clear, Very Dry". The hand was all the way over to "Very Dry" today, which is welcome considering the heat!

Algunas fotos de La Plaza Mayor de Madrid, una de las plazas más importantes de la ciudad. Aunque sea temprano, estaba llenada con gente y personas disfrazadas en disfraces de Disney, Nickelodeon y Superhéroes. Una estatua de Filipe III está ubicada al centro de la plaza. La plaza es definida por un edificio enorme y bella llenado con apartamentos clásicos del estilo europeo.

Nota interesante: el edificio tiene dos torres de reloj, una que tiene un reloj normal y otro que tiene uno de un aparato por medir la humedad. Se lee "Cierta Lluvia, Lluvia, Variable, Claro, Muy Seco". Ahora, se lee "muy seco", ¡que me gustó con tanto calor!

Me llamo Santi. Well, that's not my real name; but as far as I'm concerned, it is here.

This is a quick and dirty tumblr to act as a nice little place to concisely dump my various photos and experiences to share with friends and family. Nothing special, just a run-of-the-mill travel blog.

Right now, it's late, I'm exhausted, and I just want to get this set up. I'll give a bit more on my trip a little later. But for now, I'll post a few of the photos I managed to grab around Madrid.

Éste es un blog hecho rápidamente para que pueda tener un lugar por postear todas mis fotos y cuentas de mis experiencias para compartir con mis amigos y mi familia. Nada especial; simplemente es un blog de viaje típico.
