sunflowers , like most flowers , were some of anna’s favorite things . she loves nature immensely , & even had a little garden she tended herself to pass the time ( & in modern ‘verse , she never fails to decorate her apartment with at least a few sunflowers ) .

hc + how about anna's coping whenever elsa never answered the door and how lonely she was :))) ( not a word but binch do i care no )

coping mechanisms varied , depending on the day . talking to paintings was one . if the servants were cleaning the art hall , she’d go to the gardens instead & talk to the animals . talking to inanimate objects & animals instead of actual people is arguably unhealthy , but it’s all she had .

she would also doodle , or read , or exercise , or sing . eat a lot , but then burn the calories running around & trying to find people to speak to . all the servants got quite the earful ( especially since there weren’t a ton of them ) , as they were the only humans after her parents died .

this all showcases her immense loneliness . she had nobody at all . no friends , no pets , nearly no love . stuck all day in a castle where your sister seemingly hates you , your parents are busy ( then dead ) , & it’s all empty . all she had herself & her mind , & a knack for clinging to hope in the darkest times ( though sometimes she did lose faith , but always bounced back ) .
