“ I’m not being a smartass. ” Akihiko grumbled before watching Adachi snatch the food and scurry away. It was almost funny and even adorable how he did it. As he watched Adachi sit and then send the accusatory look, he couldn’t help but sigh, waving a hand in his direction. “ No, no ... I know you would have noticed by just the smell if I did. But, protein powder is good for you. You barely have any muscle on you to begin with so why not just have some sort of nutrition that’ll build your body up? ”

Okay… He could do this… The worst his dad could say was NO but in Ryou’s world that No would be the most heart shattering response in the world… He just really wanted to go to Shibuya for the big crosswalk celebration. Catching sight of Akihiko he decided buttering him up before asking the big question, “Good Morning, Dad!” He said hurrying up to him, wrapping his arms tightly around his waist. @sparkcrown

Akihiko was surprised to feel his son come up and hug him in the morning. But he didn’t mind it, it was a nice good morning gesture. He was almost wondering if he had to check in his room if he was sleeping in ... or maybe had stayed up working on Monster World related things. Turning his head away from the breakfast he was prepping, he raised a hand to gently rub Ryou’s head.

“ Hey, good morning, Ryou. ” He said, a slight smile growing on his face as he moved his hand away from Ryou’s head. “ Do you want any breakfast? It’s always the best meal to have to start the day off right. ”

“ Tohru, relax, I wasn’t that quiet. Besides, bears aren’t really that quiet. Bears are big enough that stealth isn’t something they really worry about. ” Akihiko sighed, watching as Adachi leaped ten feet. Really, he had the reflexes of a cat when it came right down to it. Watching him react and come down from his adrenaline high, Akihiko finally raised the plate he had in hand. “ So do you want dinner or can I have it? ” With his tease lingering in the air, he couldn’t help but give Adachi a grin.

It’s really that day isn’t it ? The mutt’s god damn birthday. He made sure Adachi was INFORMED days prior and would not forget, probably so he could get something out of it. Adachi reached over to the large figure beside him shaking him awake, “Hey mutt… Happy Birthday.” @sparkcrown

Akihiko rustled underneath the covers, eyebrows twitching as he felt the shake. He was a light sleeper and was technically already awake but is consciousness was slowly coming to. A soft groan surfaced from the boxer before he slowly opened his grey eyes to look around and spot Adachi. His birthday was one of the few days he slept in so being woken up was a bit startling. But he smiled either way, slowly sitting up on his elbow and rubbing at his eye gently.

“ Well ... You remembered huh? ” He did remind Adachi a few days prior to make sure he knew but he didn’t actually think he would actually act on it. “ That makes me happy ... ”
